Shootdown (1988)
Angela Lansbury...
The only reason I ever watched this movie was because Angela Lansbury portrays the main character. I agree with a lot of what's been said so far, too. The movie wasn't a particularly grabbing movie, and it really depressed me with unanswered questions. Ms. Lansbury was brilliant, as usual, and I thought the actors did a great job with their characters, even if there wasn't much to work with. I've seen worse movies, and I've seen better movies. This movie would be worth watching at least once if you're an Angela Lansbury fan. If for nothing else to see how well she plays emotional scenes that she didn't really get to do in Murder, She Wrote. But, like I said, that's really the only reason I watched it, and I haven't watched it since, so apparently even Angela Lansbury, wonderful as she is, wasn't enough to make me want to watch it again.
Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (1982)
Angela Lansbury and George Hearn...what a team!
I recently got a copy of this and am enjoying it immensely. Definitely one of the best musicals I've seen. I've enjoyed Angela Lansbury and George Hearn in occasional episodes of "Murder, She Wrote," but I'm not sure if anything compares to this. With their talent, they make a terrific team. I must say I was slightly surprised at the outcome, but, as the chorus says at the begin, "what happens then, well that's the play and he wouldn't want us to give it away!" Watch this if you can, but you'll never feel the same way about meat again.
The Triangle Factory Fire Scandal (1979)
Great movie
This movie was very good, and very dramatic. We watched it in history! (I was thrilled, cause Charlotte Rae is in it!) Anyway, it was a very well written movie and the cast is VERY talented! It feels like you're really there watching it. It gets a little too realistic when people were jumping out windows to escape burning to death.
The Wonderful World of Disney: The Facts of Life Reunion (2001)
Just plain AWESOME!
I absolutely adore The Facts of Life, so I made sure to catch the reunion movie!I recorded it, and I watch it....... A LOT. It was completely hilarious, without overlooking the little "chats" the girls have with Mrs. G!!(which were always my favorite parts anyway!)It was a GREAT continuation of the show, and I don't know about the rest of the facts of life fans, but I'm hoping for another one just as awesome!!
