A wonderful blend of 90s nostalgia and modern day values and inclusion that felt natural and true to the characters. It respected its old audience and included a new generation of ideas and characters. Like the movie before it captured a feeling of today. It didn't push new ideas down your throats but carried you along in a way that felt honest. Wonderful British humour as before and the most important aspect is that where we find the characters now felt true to them. Humour and heartbreak wonderfully combined to creat a show that I would be happy to follow for a few more seasons. I do however hope that it is only a few more seasons as I wouldn't want it to become stale in the future. Less is more but so far so good I say.

It's not that it's not worth a watch but it is lacking the flavour of the Grease we know and love. The coolness is not there and I can't seem to invest in the characters even though I tried. It feels like they are going out of their way to be inclusive but it isn't a seamless blend it's quite obvious and comes off as trying too hard. Part of the T-Bird and pink lady vibe was being a little too cool for school with hints of their more personal feelings peeking through usually set to music. In this show feelings are being thrown all over the place all the time so the musical moments loose the impact needed. The cast are all amazing singers and some of the less cheesy routines are very good. It's okay but it had potential to be so much better. Shout out to the the young Frenchy, great voice work.
