Well Done Tyler!!!! Well Done!!!!
26 February 2006
I just don't know where to start. This movie fulfilled everything a person goes to the movie to see. It made you laugh it made you cry, it made you feel and it made you think. Be you black, white, purple or orange, all you need to enjoy a Tyler Perry play or movie is 4 things: EYES, EARS, HEART, AND A SOUL. There are some people who by viewing a trailer to this movie can sum it up as slapstick comedy headed by a man dressing in drag. Nothing can be further from the truth. Madea's family reunion is a drama that touches on the trials and tribulations of an African American family. Domestic violence, Incest, single parenthood, the fostering and mentoring of children and the love of God that gets you through it all, sprinkled with Madea's own brand of comic relief. The only race you have to be to enjoy this movie, is the human race. So people please, please please stop judging a movie by the trailer and step out of your comfort zone and try and respect the skills and talents of a Tyler Perry film or play. You wont be sorry. And please for God sake stop putting Madea's character in the same boat with Big Momma's house and the Klumps. The only similarity is black actors portraying women and thats where it ends.

I saw this movie!!!!!!
7 February 2006
I saw this movie and thought it was excellent. Although I am a black women who wanted to rip this white women's head off for throwing her black lover to the wolves, I kinda understood that she was face with a terrible decision to make, The man she loved, or her child. but I also felt that she should have thought about that before hand. I became caught up in their love affair and was even rooting for them. But when she turned on him in court, It ripped my heart out. To be honest, I must say she never thought the outcome would be what it was. And as always, she was what we might call "A day late and a dollar short" In trying to save him. I thought this movie was excellent from beginning to end and have been looking it on video or DVD for over 5 years. Where In The Hell Is It???!!!!!!!

"Absolutely Outstanding"

Loved it loved it loved it, cant say enough good things about it. I love Tyler Perry and all his plays. I seen the movie 3 times this weekend in 3 sold out theaters. Tyler has a way of touching your soul through his plays and now the movie that changes things in people. Madea puts it all together by being the gun toting, face punching, no nonsense matriarch of the family that will go that extra mile to keep her family in check. I have taken several family and friends to see the movie and I'm not done yet. Each time I saw it, the movie ended with loud cheers and applause. Everyone absolutely loved it. I was going to do everything I could to make sure it was the number one movie at the box office this week and in weeks to come. And since the cast will be on Oprah Friday March 4 and she stamps her seal of approval on it. Watch out America.

Congratulations Tyler. May God bless your every endeavor
