Diary of a Wimpy Kid (2010)
It's alright, if you like those types of movies-
I'll say it now: I've actually never read the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. I watched this movie with my family, and honestly, it was kind of a rollercoaster. I'll point out the good things first: I think the actors did great, especially the kids. They gave nice performances and they really added onto the characters. Sure, it's funny, but it's more of second hand embarrassment and cringe type of funny. I think the pacing was good and it kept me relatively interested the entire time. Honestly, though, it didn't really have a plot line. It was things happening that led to another, but there was no genuine, one plot. It didn't bother me that much though. Also, I wish there was just a little more character development in this. I felt the characters were a little bland. And one last thing: that random girl, where did she go? Why was she there at all? She really, didn't add much to the plot. I guess that's fine though. Anyways, I think younger kids or families would really enjoy this movie, but if you're older, not so much. We still had a fun time with this, and we enjoyed it.
The Breakfast Club (1985)
I can see why it's a classic.
Honestly, yes, I can see why it is a classic. I will say I enjoyed The Breakfast Club. I think the performances given by the actors and actresses was remarkable and outstanding. They perfectly captured the essence of what it truly feels like to be a teenager in the school system. There was so many struggles they go through, which is so relatable and truly saddening, and they managed to show it all in this film. I cried a bit. I think the characters, however, could've had more development. I feel us as the audience wasn't able to fully resonate with them and it would've been much, much better if we could really see their personalities and their backstories more clearly. I felt like they were a bit bland. Yes, they had a few extremely defining traits, but I wish they built on that. Also, the time periods are different, and I feel as though the younger crowds wouldn't enjoy it as much. There are certain aspects in this film that I think some wouldn't really get or see anymore. I was still able to understand the film completely, though. To wrap this up, I don't see it as one of the 'must watch' classics, but I still enjoyed it. Other than that, I think this movie was pretty good. I recommend, especially to those who like more...vintage/classic movies.
Shakespeare in Love (1998)
Such a romantic movie...
I absolutely adored Shakespeare in Love. All the actors gave great performances and greatly suited their roles, the dialogue was written so beautifully, the pacing was nice, the cinematography was shot with excellence, the execution was spot on, and they perfectly captures both the essence of the 16th century and the romance between Viola and William. It was so well written and it truly made you swoon over their love. The two actor's chemistry really is remarkable. It kept you entertained and interested the entire movie, and it even made me cry a tiny bit. However, I wish they grew more on the personal side of the romance instead of the physical and intimacy side of it, truly. I think it would've made the movie better. Anyways, it gives you a new view on Shakespeare and how he got his inspiration for Romeo and Juliet, and various other works of his, which I will not name. The whole plot was tied together very nicely, I think. In the end, I enjoyed Shakespeare in Love, and I would watch again.
Now You See Me (2013)
Enjoyable, I suppose.
Now You See Me is an okay, mediocre movie. I did have fun watching, though. I'll point out the good things about this film: I think the cast did great and gave amazing performances and the cinematography was good. I think the usage of special effects and animation they used for some of the magic tricks were pretty good and smooth. It kept you engaged and intrigued the entire time. Now, onto the negative things. It lacked character development. I'll be honest: most of the characters were flat and had no depth or dimension to them. I wish they showed us some sort of backstory to each of them, specifically, the four magicians, so the audience could really feel and relate to them, but they didn't. Another thing I didn't like was the unnecessary romance between Dylan Rhodes and Alma Dray. It was forced, rushed, and so boring. It didn't add anything to the plot until the very, very end, and by end, I mean the last scene, and honestly, it could've been done without the romance. And another thing I'd want to see is an explanation of to how they did the magic tricks and stunts. I think it would've made the movie a lot more interesting if we could see how they achieved such impossible things. I also felt like the pacing was too fast and I couldn't really keep up with all the information they were giving us. If it was a little slower, it would've been better. And the final reveal about who's behind all of this is somewhat satisfying but his motives are just so...boring, and they don't even make sense, and that's what frustrated me. Overall, you can really enjoy this film if you don't think at all during this film and just accept it, because trying to use logic and sense will not work. It seems like a fun film, but could've been executed better.
Do Revenge (2022)
I loved Do Revenge.
I loved Do Revenge. Honestly, one of the more underrated films. I don't really understand all of the negative reviews because I thought this was amazing. I've actually never really seen anything like this. Might not be the most original, but definitely the best executed. The pure complexity of the characters is absolutely mind-blowing, and they feel real and not at all scripted. Their motives and their pure hatred is written so well, it cannot be real. You will easily fall in love with the two main characters and cheer them on as they do their evil revenge. The dialogue was smooth and realistic, and the pacing was so on point. Random, but the costume design was amazing. Also, the ways they did revenge was cruel and perfectly executed. I wouldn't have thought of that, so it was really interesting to watch. The acting was spot on and the casting was just pure perfection I loved them and I wouldn't have casted anyone else for these roles. These actresses really added onto the role. I liked how they showed how hatred can really drive you to destroying you, your future, and others. And the best part of this movie were the plot twists. My god, it was so satisfying and jaw-dropping. I don't want to spoil anything about that, of course, but it came so out of nowhere that it was shocking. And the way they write the story is that it keeps taking unexpected turns that it's infuriating (in the best way possible) and keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire time. Onto the more negative points: it's a bit stereotypical, the high school tropes and everything, and it's kind of annoying, but honestly, in my opinion, it adds to the movie even more. Also, the romance written between two characters (who I'm not going to name for the sake of this having no spoilers) was kind of cliche and rushed. I would've liked more screen time with them actually bonding rather than kissing and making out and arguing. It kind of came out of the blue, and I would've liked it if she ended up single. And also, this could've been a great teen movie, but there were some inappropriate scenes that were kinda not necessary? But I'm not complaining, it's fine by me. Anyways, to wrap this up, I really enjoyed this film, it will keep you on the edge of your seat the entire time and it'll get you laughing, too. Definitely recommend.
Karigurashi no Arietti (2010)
I fell in love with this film!
Oh, how sweet this was! Honestly, The Secret World of Arrietty seems like one of the more underrated movies made by Studio Ghibli. Such a simplistic, sweet, funny, and moving film. In my opinion, this was very well executed. The storyline was somewhat original enough to make a mark on the viewers, but simplistic enough for all ages to understand it. The animation was just amazing. The characters are so sweet and are easy to fall in love with. They are written with such realism, you feel like you are there with them. And the world-building! Don't even get me started! So amazing, they captured every single detail with raw perfection! Another thing I enjoyed was how simplistic and beautiful this film was. It wasn't completely dramatic and intense. It was sweet, and had just enough complexity to keep the viewers hooked. Anyways, I wish there was a little more character development on a few characters, like Sho. I would've liked to see him more on screen, but that was only minor. Another thing I would've liked to see is the friendship/romance between Arrietty and Sho more. It was a little rushed, and I would've loved to see them together more. Also, the film ended a bit sad, a bittersweet goodbye between the two characters. I need a continuation for this amazing film. To wrap this up, I loved this film and I definitely recommend.
Majo no takkyûbin (1989)
Loved this movie!
Kiki's Delivery Service is such a great film. It's a feel-good, sweet, and simplistic watch that everyone in the family will enjoy. I don't know how to explain it, but this movie had such flow to it. Everything happened for a reason and was all paced and put together quite nicely. The characters were all so lovable. The animation was very nice, and the voice acting really did fit with the characters and added more dimension to them. Anyways, I got mostly positive vibes while watching, which I quite enjoyed. Little side note: there isn't really an antagonist or any sort of action or drama in it. It was simplistic and nice, which was why I mainly liked it. In the end, Kiki's Delivery Service is a must-watch for everyone of all ages and I definitely recommend!
Scream (2022)
Had high expectations for this film - fell short.
I am in love with the Scream franchise. I've been watching it for a while now, and I've finally gotten to Scream 5. For some reason, I was specifically excited for this one. I watched it with my sister and both of us were very, very underwhelmed. It was literally just a repeat of the first movie, just different characters and different names. And by repeat, I mean exactly the same. There was no originality, nothing to make it stand out against the other movies. Because it lacked this, it was extremely predictable and outright boring. Next, the two people behind the Ghost-face mask were extremely easy to guess, and their motives...lacked depth, lacked meaning or any reason as to why. And we didn't even see these characters that much, and their lack of screen time made the grand reveal much less shocking. Then, the acting. It was stiff and it didn't feel real, it was more like they were reading the script rather than acting it. Also, the dialogue was extremely fake. Not fluid or realistic, which made this movie even more unbearable. Now onto the characters. The characters were so poorly written. They really had some potential but the writing did not do them justice. To be honest, all the characters kinda felt the same. They weren't original, or, they didn't have original personalities. Onto my next point, which was how unbearably unrealistic this was, specifically, when it came to people surviving or dying. Some characters obviously could've defended themselves, and yes, I'm talking about Wes, who was prepared and had every tool to help himself, but they unrealistically just gave up and died, and that frustrated me. Maybe they purposefully did this, but it just did not make sense. One of my biggest complaints is how yet again Gale and Dewey split up. I mean, it's the same reused thing over and over again. I hated seeing this storyline showed. And the part where Dewey died lacked any emotion whatsoever. I expected to cry or maybe tear up because he was one of my favorite characters, but no. He just died. Nothing slow, nothing painfully sad. And since he was such a big part of the plot in all the movies, you'd expect it to be better written than that! He deserved better. And adding to that, his death wasn't very necessary, really. I felt they just killed him to make us hooked and it didn't add to the plot at all. Killing him off made no sense. Also, no one from the original cast was very important. They introduced an all new cast and Sidney and Gale had few lines of dialogue, but I wish they were more important! And onto the final and last complaint: the action scenes. Sure, they were intense, but were they scary? Were they terrifying? Were they 'I'm at the edge of my seat, screaming for the character to go left?' No. It lacked the gore, the horror, the screams. In the end, I did not enjoy this movie at all. Not my favorite installment of the series.
Kubo and the Two Strings (2016)
Loved this movie.
Kubo and the Two Strings was a childhood favorite of mine, I used to watch it all the time. I rewatched it recently, to see if my views have changed, and it hasn't. This was the first clay-nation film I have seen, and it was incredible. The animation was so smooth and incredible, I wonder how they had patience to do it all with such detail. The dialogue and the humor was pretty good. The pacing was alright. The storyline, though, was just amazing. It was so original, I've never seen anything like it. The characters were great, and I loved being able to accompany Kubo and his friends on his journey. The two sisters are very, very creepy, and there are some intense scenes. Might be a bit frightening to young children. I will say, it was a little boring at time, especially in the beginning, where it is a bit slow, and then the rising action is where you really got hooked, but then it reached the climax, which fell a bit short with the action. It was also a bit predictable at times, but maybe it's just me. It was still a great film, I enjoyed it, and I understand why I loved this movie so much as a kid. Definitely recommend for a family movie night.
Avatar: The Last Airbender (2005)
The best TV show I have ever watched
I cannot tell you how amazing this series is. Words cannot describe it. The best TV show I ever watched, certainly. I've rewatched it time and time again. There is nothing to hate about this. For a TV show that aired in 2005 - 2008, the animation is really good, the humor isn't outdated, and it's still very relatable for many crowds. The characters were all so complex and different, they feel real. At the end of the last season, you're so emotionally attached to all the characters, you can't let go. The character development of all of them is written so beautifully. The voice acting was on point. The actor's voices and characters fit so perfectly together, it's unreal. I wouldn't haven't any other way. The dialogue is written amazingly: so smooth, natural, and realistic. The humor is on point and will make everyone of all ages laugh. The world building was just incredible and it really felt like you were there with them. The pacing was great, too. The show keeps you hooked from episode one. And I'll add that the lore, myth, and legend were all made with pure perfection. Anyways, there is no aspect of this TV show I dislike. This isn't always some goofy and stupid little kid show, which is what a lot of people assume it is. It's a good balance of everything. They also teach many important themes, which is good for kids and adults to hear sometimes. Nickelodeon surely has some..weird TV series, but this one is amazing. The best part about this is that everyone of all ages will absolutely adore this show as I did. I've rewatched this at several different ages with my family again and again and each time I love it even more. You will not regret watching Avatar: The Last Airbender, and you will enjoy every moment you're with the characters as I did.
The Bourne Identity (2002)
I really enjoyed this movie!
I do love spy movies, and The Bourne Identity is now among some of my favorites. The execution of this was great, and the acting was just brilliant. They all gave such wonderful performances that really gave their characters so much depth. The dialogue was pretty good, smooth and natural, and the action scenes! Oh! My favorite part! I feel like the action scenes here were only slightly unrealistic, but still so fun to watch. It was paced good and I liked how they never any fighting for unnecessary reasons. I also loved coming with Jason Bourne as he tried to figure out his identity and his past. They wrote the romance really good, as well. A pleasant surprise that I did not expect. To conclude, it is a high paced, action-packed, and engaging spy movie that you'll probably watch on the end of your seat!
Captain Marvel (2019)
It's an okay movie, I suppose.
I was actually kind of excited for Captain Marvel. I watched it with my family and when we finished, I was left feeling...dissatisfied? It definitely didn't meet my expectations. It's actually an alright movie. I think the acting was good, the execution was nice, and the cast did amazingly. The action scenes were mediocre at best, and there's plenty other things too, but I think what made me hate this movie so much was the characters, specifically, Captain Marvel. She's so...perfect. There's nothing wrong with her. And I love that she's a powerful girl boss: I'm all there for it! But she has no flaws other than a temper. She has uncontrollable, extremely incredible and strong powers. I wish she had more character development, or some flaws to make her seem more real. And that's what made this movie so intolerably boring. Other than that, I guess it's an okay movie. I don't recommend, though.
Cruella (2021)
Cruella, Cruella, Cruella: one of the best Disney films I've seen!
To be honest, I wasn't expecting to like this movie as much as I did since I never really enjoyed the "101 Dalmations," movies. But I was wrong. This brilliantly dark and insane film starring Emma Stone as Cruella shows us her descent into pure and complete madness. It's the prequel I think we all needed. Full of twists and turns you'd never expect, I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. All of the characters, especially Cruella, were written with such detail, they seemed almost real. The execution as brilliant. The dialogue was so real and smooth. I will say the CGI at the end wasn't the best quality, but that doesn't change my opinion about this movie at all. In the end, this dark, lovely, and melancholy prequel showing the story of our dearly beloved Cruella de Vil is something we all didn't know we needed. I would rewatch this movie, and I do recommend.
The Dark Knight (2008)
Best Batman movie by far!
When I first finished watching The Dark Knight, I was left mouth gaping and completely in awe of how perfectly dark and brooding this movie was. The acting is what did it for me. Heath Ledger and Christian Bale really did give Oscar worthy performances. The action sequences were executed brilliantly. I loved how it showed us the completely dark and insane mind of the Joker. I loved the character development. I loved how some scenes in this movie made me cry. These characters were so amazingly written, so detailed and so realistic. The Dark Knight is one of the best Batman, or even D. C, movies I've ever watched. This hauntingly beautiful film worthy of all the Oscars and nominations it won will stay in our hearts forever.
Legally Blonde (2001)
I loved Legally Blonde.
Oh, how I enjoyed watching this one! I loved everything about this movie. Reese Witherspoon did beautifully and perfectly portrayed her character, Elle Woods, and the rest of the cast did amazingly as well. The dialogue was real and natural. The humor was spot on, never too much and never too little. The plot was engaging and not at all boring. The characters were written so detailed and realistically! The problems and obstacles Elle face are what many women in society face even nowadays, and it's nice seeing a movie were they portray a woman who overcomes them. Feministic and powerful, I was left laughing and almost crying over Elle's hard journey. It was also quite heartwarming and wholesome, the ending. I recommend you watch Legally Blonde, a feel good, sweet, and powerful movie that'll stick with you forever.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2013)
My favorite movie out of the series-
Absolutely loved this movie. I will admit I was afraid that they would do my favorite book in the series wrong but I watched it anyways with low expectations because I knew that sequels will never be as good as the original, especially when it comes to movies. Oh, I was so wrong! Everyone in this movie gave such amazing performances. I applaud the actors and actresses. Jennifer Lawrence portrays Katniss flawlessly and Josh Hutcherson did splendidly as Peeta. I have never seen actors like these capture the exact essence of their character so perfectly. The casting was so fitting! The animation and CGI is so realistic! They somehow managed to make these Hunger Games so terrifyingly real, especially when it comes to the arena and the fighting sequences. The dialogue is so natural, nothing too odd or forced about it. But my favorite part about this is how they stuck to the book. They executed this movie perfectly and I am still in awe. Nothing in this felt too rushed or too slow: it was paced great and I was never bored. I still rewatch it because it really is an amazing movie. Catching Fire is definitely the best movie out of the series and you will not regret watching it!!
Marcel the Shell with Shoes On (2021)
I absolutely adore Marcel the Shell with Shoes On
Really one of the most wholesome, simplistic, sweet, funny, and heartwarming movies I have watched. Marcel the Shell with Shoes is a funny and lovely movie that all ages will enjoy and love. I think the acting was great and the performances given were spot on. The animation was amazing and so smooth and realistic, and the dialogue was so natural and funny, there was nothing forced about it. Marcel the Shell teaches you many things about life that everyone needs to hear and learn. It's strange how much this tiny, talking shell fills my heart up with so much joy. Loved this movie. If you're looking for a simple, sweet, and hilarious movie meant for all ages, watch Marcel the Shell with Shoes On: it'll melt your heart.
A Walk to Remember (2002)
A good romantic comedy.
I enjoyed A Walk to Remember. It was certainly a good romantic comedy, with great performances, nice cinematography, natural and fluid dialogue, a good plot, and a well written romance. Really, their romance wasn't really forced or awkward at all. It was genuine and sweet. It was quite fun to watch. However, it is quite predictable. Good girl, bad boy, fall in love until disaster strikes, threatening to tear them apart. It is stereotypical, I've watched movies exactly like this countless of times, and it's a bit cheesy. Some parts seemed a bit too long, stretched on for too much, but I guess it builds up the gradual tension. I suppose some people enjoy those types of romantic comedies, but I don't really. In the end, I still enjoyed watching this movie, and I recommend.
The Fault in Our Stars (2014)
Nice.
The Fault in Our Stars is one of my favorite books. When I discovered that it was turned into a movie, I was pretty excited, although, I kept my standards pretty low, considering that majority of the time, books-turned-movies are kind of bad. I was actually pleasantly surprised at this movie. Not as good and poetic as the book, but is certainly amazing and I definitely enjoyed it. I loved how they didn't really change anything from the book and really stuck to the original storyline. The romance between Augustus and Hazel was really well written, not forced, awkward, or rushed at all. They captured the essence of their spirits in this movie so well, I was shocked. The dialogue was natural, the casting was great, I wouldn't have chosen anyone else to play these characters. This movie was heartbreakingly sad and lovely, and those who are also fans of the book like me will not be disappointed by The Fault in Our Stars. I recommend.
27 Dresses (2008)
I absolutely love 27 Dresses!
Ah, one of my favorite romantic comedies. Although this movie was fairly predictable, as all rom-coms are, it was still so much fun to watch and I will rewatch it time and time again. I don't understand the low ratings: it has such nice and funny dialogue, charming and realistic characters, great performances, the script is good, and the plot line is ever so engaging and brilliant! It is almost too easy to just fall in love with the characters, Jane and Kevin. Their gradual romance is so well written, not too rushed or slow at all. The actors really did an amazing performance: they really fit their characters and made this movie come to life. Wouldn't necessarily recommend to anyone who, one, does not like predictable movies and two, does not like cheesy romances. But other then that, I think it did an amazing job and I really enjoyed watching 27 dresses.
Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022)
A heartbreakingly amazing movie-
Everything Everywhere All at Once deserves all the love it got. I watched it with my family and we were impressed! Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan, and. Stephanie Hsu all gave such amazing performances, it moved me to tears. The execution of this film is so perfect. The cinematography is great. The CGI and special effects is lovely and really good. The humor in this is golden: I love it! I was laughing so much! I will admit, this movie was a bit ridiculous and really extra at times, but I still enjoyed it. It may seem like a super silly film but it has such a deep meaning that I cried and I couldn't stop thinking about it after we finished it. Everything Everywhere All at Once is a lovely movie that I definitely recommend.
Notting Hill (1999)
One of my new favorite romantic comedies!
Something about Notting Hill is just so enchanting. I absolutely love romantic comedies, not all of them as much of a masterpiece like this one. Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant give such an amazing performance, I just loved watching them fall in love. The dialogue is perfect: it's natural and smooth and realistic and so, so funny. I'm surprised they were able to do so. The cinematography was amazing and the plot was so engaging, yet slow and beautiful. A fair bit predictable, as all rom-coms are, but I still loved watching it. It shows us a lovely and heartbreaking blend of a celebrity and a regular persons life intertwined by accident. This movie was so realistic, there was nothing forced about it and that's why I love it. Anyways, I believe Notting Hill is definitely worth watching and I recommend!
Damsel (2024)
I don't understand the bad reviews!
I don't understand the bad reviews. Damsel was definitely an adventurous, fun, exciting, and engaging movie that me and my family enjoyed watching. Millie Bobby Brown and the other actors and actresses gave a spectacular performance. The special effects were pretty good. The dialogue was nice, a bit choppy though. The pacing was great, I was engaged and not bored at all throughout this movie. However, I will say it was quite predictable. I guessed every single plot twist in here. Not very original, but it still was fun to watch. I didn't really like the ending, it was a bit...unsatisfying and predictable. Towards the end, it was a bit slow, but I didn't really mind it. Damsel had a lot of potential, but it fell short a bit. Definitely not the most original movie, but I think Damsel is still a fun and adventurous movie anyone could enjoy if you're fine with a pretty predictable film.
See You on Venus (2023)
See You on Venus definitely disappointed...
I haven't read the book, just to get that out of the way. But when I saw the trailer, I thought it was a cute, funny rom-com about two teenagers coming together to find her birth mother in Spain and while doing so, they fall in love. I wasn't exactly right, I guess? The dialogue lacked fluidity and wasn't at all natural: it seemed forced and choppy. The plot had so much potential but they fell short. The acting was stiff and although I love the actors they cast, they just didn't give their best performances yet. This was kind of a stereotypical movie, where the girl and guy fall in love but actually, the girl kept a secret from him and turns out she has some disease or is dying. To be honest, I didn't really expect that, so it was a bit of a lot twist, although, I should've seen it coming. It was kind of like A Walk To Remember, which I loved. Also, of course she finds her birth mother in the end, but they never explained why she gave her up, which was annoying because that was the entire reason we wanted to continue watching this movie. See You On Venus was very predictable, too. And I wish there was more...character? More personality? It's a stereotype: sunny, bright, cheerful, sweet, kind girl with a depressed, bad, grieving, guilt-ridden guy. To be honest, the girl had an obnoxious and annoying personality throughout the entire film, and they showed how suicidal and depressed the guy is but in my opinion, they didn't portray it very well. If they did better at this, it would've been a lot better. I do think this movie could've done a lot better with better execution, more fluidity, more deeper character development, more relaxed and realistic dialogue, and better acting. Also, although See You on Venus is a PG, kids may get a bit scared as there are some...intense scenes, such as the various times the main character collapses and goes into the hospital numerous times, and not to mention the time where the other main character tries to commit suicide by jumping off a tall boulder into a river with a high drop. Anyways, I don't really recommend, but if you like really cheesy and predictable romantic comedies, go ahead.
Scream 2 (1997)
Did alright for a sequel-
Let me just say this: normally, sequels are so horrible compared to the original. Scream 2 definitely did pretty well but you know that sequels can never be better or as good as the original. I loved the cast, they are all so amazing and gave an amazing performance. I was engaged and hooked for majority of the movie. The visuals and the graphics were pretty good. However, the things that Scream 2 lacks is a long list. First, it lacks the terror of the original. The killers were precise, strategic, horrifying with motives and backstories that truly shocked you-and in this movie, the killers are a bit lamer, more tame, not as blood thirsty as the first, and the motives were, I'm sorry to say, a bit stupid. The killer (Mickey) was completely unannounced, I mean, he wasn't in the film for about 90% of it and then suddenly, they reveal he's Ghost-Face? And his motive was to blame the movies for making him go crazy. It doesn't even make sense, and it's ridiculous. They built up so much anticipation just to end with this. The other killer was Nancy Loomis (yes, Billy Loomis, Ghost-Face in the original's mother) and she just wanted revenge, which was a bit boring. Her character just fell a little flat when they could've created this huge revenge plan that shocked all of us to the core. Yet Scream 2 just...fell a little short. In the original, the violence and gore was extreme but here they toned it down much, much more, which could make some of the viewers happier, but I preferred it to be on the gory side of things because it is a horror movie. This movie is extremely long and it just wasn't paced very well because I was bored half way. I'm not saying this movie is necessarily extremely bad, it just doesn't deliver that terrifying, gory, scary experience that the first one did. In the end, Scream 2 did alright as a sequel, but didn't enjoy it as much as the first.
