Janasheen (2003)
It's Feroz Khan - all the way!
Janasheen :
Ok, after KMG, I recently saw Janasheen a few days back. I personally liked it a lot! It's a brilliantly directed film. The USP of the movie is, it's style of making(love Feroz Khan's work always), music, Celina factor, and the exotic locales. Plus, the presence of Feroz Khan himself in it - so powerful is his role! He's the show stealer of Janasheen, and no one! He is electrifying!
The script of the film is just plain ordinary. Nothing to write home about. That's where it suffers the most - its weak screenplay!
About the performances, it's F.K., all the way! His dialogues, his appearance, his acting, body language, and the signature tune, everything is just amazing! He sets the screen on fire everytime he appears. A great come back by him after a gap of so many years! Imo, he has confirmed his "best villain award" here.
Fardeen Khan sucks once again. He has yet again proved that he is the worst actor in Bollywood right now. He looks dashing, as always, but disappoints with his poor/mediocre acting. Forget about facial expressions at all. Moreover, his insipid role(as compared to his dad's) doesn't help him to shine either. Like I said before, F.K's role is so powerful that how could you expect poor Fardeen to handle the heat! Imo, he has been murdered by his father(whether it was intentional or unintentional). People should learn some sort of lesson from Rakesh Roshan here(this is for you, Mr. F.K).
Celina looks like a doll. She has nothing to do in the film, but to look beautiful! It was a role in which her acting skills weren't required... so, she is all good with what she does. Her dancing movements are good! Overall, she is much better than Fardeen, at least.
F.K's work, as a technician is flawless. He has directed the film beautifully, but is undone by a poor script. That's the failure of Janasheen.
The music is superb. Every single track is beautiful and melodious. Great work by Anand Raj Anand.
Another highlight of the film is its score. The violin tunes are just lovely.
Overall, a good entertainer. Watch this one for its style, music, beautiful locales, gorgeous Celina Jaitley, and last but not the least - Feroz Khan!

Koi... Mil Gaya (2003)
It's Hrithik - all the way!
Some of my thoughts on KMG :
It's a GOOD film - but not that GREAT! It could have been a lot better! Rakesh Roshan has done a very good job by making such a promising film! I'm impressed by his work. He's fantastic! But he has faltered in the climax. The climax is weak; in fact totally unimpressive. It doesn't impress at all - the way it should have been! That's the weakest aspect - the climax!
The music by Rajesh Roshan is nice. All the songs are nice and unique in their own way. He definitely deserves a round of applause for composing such an impressive MUSIC; for such a different and unique film.
"Idhar Chala," is definitely the best of the lot. It has been choreographed/picturised brilliantly! AWESOME! I'm simply in LOVE with it. The music is so catchy and makes you even dance. The atmosphere is just stunning! Preity Zinta looks gorgeous in it... in fact, mindblowing! Her facial expressions are extremely cute!
About the dancing, HR is simply outstanding! He is great! He makes you fall in love with the song even more and more... every time you see it. Full marks to HR, and also Farah Khan for coming up with such a stunning choreography.
"Haila Haila" is also very impressive in terms of Hrithik's great dancing skills. He dances exceptionally well again. Same goes for "It's Magic," as well.
Speaking about the performances, it's Hrithik Roshan - all the way! He has done a GREAT JOB, as a mentally challenged young man. His facial expressions, body language, dialogue delivery is just extra ordinary. What an impact, he has registered here in KMG - bound to win him so many awards next year! You just fall in love with him. Whenever he cries, he makes you cry... whenever he laughs, makes you laugh as well. He carries the viewer with himself in each and every scene and emotion. 10/10 to him! Bravo!
Preity does a very sincere job. She is very nice, but doesn't have much to do. She looks so cute and gorgeous, everytime she comes on the screen. You like her company. I have never seen her look so dashing before - to be honest.
Rekha is simply outstanding, whatever she has to offer in terms of acting. I simply loved her in KMG. Nice to see her back... the actress of her calibre! That scene where she delivers a lecture to Preity and her friends, blow you into pieces.
The other supporting cast is just horrible. Every other individual is just annoying and doesn't just impress at all.
Oh, and I forgot about the alien completely. He looks cute and one would like to hug him as well. Not that bad from Bollywood's point of view. Of course, KMG isn't a HOLLYWOOD film. So, the alien is fine in that regard!
OVERALL, a good, and very different type of entertainment altogether. The film is UNIQUE! It's not that GREAT! But could have been a lot better, had the climax been done with perfection. That's where the film is unimpressive!
Also, the basket ball match is boring. I didn't like it that much.
But then again, nothing is, and nobody's perfect in this world. And that's how, we should take KMG in the end... expecting it to be a good quality entertainment and not larger than life thing!
I'm satisfied here!

Kaante (2002)
Entertaining...!!!
Ok, I'm back after seeing Kaante.
First of all, about the performances :
Mahesh Manjrekar & Sanjay Dutt have stolen the show, in my opinion. Both of them have done an outstanding job. They make you laugh again and again with their jokes. These two are just the best. Amitabh gives yet another strong display of his great overall abilities. He is powerful as always. Sunil Shetty is all right. Kumar Gaurav & Lucky Ali have got nothing much to say in terms of dialogues. They have been wasted. They look more of spectators than anybody else.
Now, the film :
The film is just about ok in the first half. It's quite dull & slow to begin with. But the second half is the real entertainment. That's where the film picks up the pace. The execution of bank robbery has been shot well. In fact, millions time better than that of Aankhen. The action has been good. Some of the action scenes are funny; rest of them are impressive.
The real drama & suspense starts when they find out that one of them is a rat. That's where the film gets so interesting. But you just don't find out the reality till the very end. The end is quite funny. The way they threaten to shoot each other in complete panic, and finally, tearing each other apart. That's where you find out that who was the cop. Kumar aka Andy uses his brain and escapes. Hmm, he was a genius, LOL!!!
'Ishq Sumandar' & 'Maahi Ve' are the two best item numbers. Malaika looks cute & does well. Isha is doing the same sort of Khallaas stuff again, but she dances well & looks hot. "Chor na Chor na" is hilarious. It's the best entertaining song of the movie. Full marks to all of them.
The direction is good. The music is already a plus point. The dialogues are really funny & bold. Some of them are quite cheap especially those delivered between Sanjay & Mahesh. The script may be faulty, but who cares!!
On the whole, It was really entertaining, as far as I'm concerned. I fully enjoyed it!! I'm satisfied & that's what matters to me!!
