Mauvaises fréquentations (1999)
A French master piece of art
What a movie... I just watched this movie once, a cold night making zapping with the TV and I saw this title (In my country they named it "The end of the innocence"), and I began watching expecting to be a tragic teenager drama... and French. What I saw totally turned me up. It begins like a normal teen movie and suddenly it begins to change its way. It ain't about a silly blonde haired girl, but about this shy little Delphin (I got to say that Maud Forget just stole my heart), who feels solitary, alone, bored, confused, and when meets her new school-partner Olivia begins to think about a new world, to find it out. Then the other Mauvaises Frèquentations appear. The apparition of her love changes the whole movie: she feels different, more open, more happy. And it is really emotional when you see all she does just for her loved one, how she looses her way. The conclusion, at least for me, is that this little Delphine just doesn't realize of nothing, learns nothing, as if it hadn't been a hard experience, and just waits for the next Laurent to come... but thinking a bit better about her friend.
Oh,and since I saw it for the first and only time I have been trying to get a copy of it but I had never able to. Does any of you know where can I get one?
Y tu mamá también (2001)
This is perhaps the most charming and beautiful film I haver ever seen
Oh... I just love this movie! I still remember the first time I saw it, I was really young and I got really impressed and charmed with the great ending and development. It begins with sex and humor scenes which give more and more definition of the characters, those funny Julio and Tenoch and their particular way of looking at life. Then the special apparition of Luisa, this new woman who impresses them and conquers them, and makes them invite her to this unknown beach so they can have time together. I have got to say that the trip part was my favorite, while they go and go inside the car and learn a lot about themselves, or also while they stay in the hotel and they realize about some things they have never looked upon on, and in the end, when they finally arrive to Boca del Cielo and finish the great adventure. The final scene is one of the greatest. With the touch it is given, a way of showing the audience about how they can mature and change a lot, while they sit on a bar and have coffee, it makes it one of the greatest films ever made and the most beautiful I have seen... especially if we count that Frank Zappa's song in the ending.

A lovely, hear-touching story
I loved the film in every moment. I just started watching it several minutes after it started but it didn't care for me because in the same time I began seeing it, it looked wonderful. I have to say I though it was going to be like any other childhood film with the hard beginning but with a simple happy ending, but all the troubles coming out of it, the sacrifice and the love of the water of that young girl, all the problems she must face in the school just because of her handicap and having to bear the mockery of her school-partners, the love her parents show to her and how much they care for her vocation, her constant dream to run the great race, her friendship with the other characters made it all different, until the very end, the most beautiful and grateful part of the movie, especially talking about the last dialogue, when you know that "you cant leave marks in the water" and finally they all hug each other and the scene is frozen...
That was a real hard drama with a long-looked for, worked-for, but also nice and lovely happy ending.
