The Plague (2006)
Utter nonsensical crap!
Poorly written, poorly acted, poorly edited.
Clearly, they wanted to make a zombie film with a new angle, but it is lacking in *every* department.
I am grieved that I wasted valuable minutes of my life on this turkey!
I am an avid fan of most horror films, and will even admit to liking some pretty ropey offerings, but this film does absolutely nothing. It engages you in no way whatsoever. There is no character development, no unfolding of an involved and intelligent plot. Instead we are presented with a sequence of badly strung together scenes which do nothing to give the viewer a clue of what is going on.
The actions of the characters are random and dialogue is utterly clichéd. There must be twenty scenes where one of the characters try to communicate some kind of emotion, but in every instance it looks like an acting class for remedials.
I could go on for hours about how bad this film is, but I feel I've wasted enough of my life on this one. Take notice, and be warned!
House of the Dead (2003)
I cried at this film!!!
This was possibly the WORST film I have ever seen - and I've seen some total crap in my time (Video Dead, Children of the Dead, to name a couple of notably bad ones).
I'd tick the "contains spoiler" box, but let's be fair - the director/writer did all the spoiling already! Having watched this film I feel dirty - in the worst way. If anyone wanted to make legal history by trying a lawsuit against film makers who promise great stuff in their trailers, but then delivery utter trash, this would be the film. I don't think they could find enough money to cover the damages from the trauma I've experienced as a result of being subjected to this monumental steaming turd! 1 out of 10???? I don't think it even deserves that!!!!!
The Specials (2000)
Possibly the worst film I have seen in a long time!
Considering the extracts from reviews printed on the box I expected this to be a truly side-splittingly funny film. How wrong can one person be!?
This film was extremely weak. The humour was laboured and shallow. The endless barrage of bad language added nothing to the film, other than needlessly raising it's certificate. The film seemed to drag on and ended at the point where it may have become moderately interesting.
I am thankful for the fact I only rented this film and didn't pay the laughable retail price of the DVD (the only thing truly entertaining about this title). I only wish that I could take legal action to recover some losses for two wasted hours of my life.
Think twice before renting or buying this film... it serves as a true testament that you should NEVER believe the cover text on any American movie.
