Taras. Povernennya (2019)
understood nothing
The cinematography and art work are not bad, not wow but not vomit. There is no soundtrack here. Didn't even notice he was here.
Honestly, I don't like how Shevchenko looks in the film, it's very obvious that he's wearing make-up. As for the actors, it's not bad, at least I didn't notice because I was busy with the plot.
While watching the film, especially starting from the 2nd act, I did not understand anything that was happening. Only the final became clear plus minus. And why they showed us this, then that, is not clear. The relationship between the characters is also unclear.
To conclude I didn't understand the plot of a film.
Pohani dorohy (2020)
Incredible story from Vorozhbyt
I liked the work of each department. Everything is quite realistic.
Among the actors, I would like to note Koltovsky, Kulynych, The characters make you want to watch the film.) Especially the chemistry between them. What I love about The Fortune Teller is the dialogues. In the movie "Cyborgs" and here, the dialogues are very cool, alive. With the help of these lively dialogues, 30 minutes of the film flew by in 5 minutes.
The plot is reminiscent of the film "Donbas" directed by Serhii Loznytsia, as well as the film "Amores perros" by Iñárritu.
This movie cuts to the bone when you watch it. It fascinates with its hopeless situations in which you find yourself together with the characters, and then you worry about every plot twist.
Dovbush (2023)
Epic paper
I will start with caste. Serhiy Strelnikov was a good choice for the role of Oleksa Dovbush, at least he looked natural, but while watching the film I thought that Strelnikov was playing Batman, not Dovbush. I can single out Oleksiy Hnatkovsky in the role of Ivan Dovbush, who turned out to be the best character in the film. Ivan took all the attention when he was with Oleksa.
Cinematography sometimes pleased me, and sometimes disappointed me, especially in the very first battle scene, although this is probably a question for the director. Beautiful views of the Carpathians and beautifully staged battles.
The artists and directors surpassed everyone and everything.
