Game of Thrones: The Last of the Starks (2019)
Season 8, Episode 4
9/10
Episode 8.4 had more going for it than 8.1, 8.2 and 8.3 combined!
6 May 2019
(So in 8.3 the battle against the army of the dead happens but let's face it, the lighting was so dark no amount of brightness adjust helped me to see WTF was going on on. We know who we lost and we know who survived but everything else was a blur to me. I could barely make out was happening.) But this episode (8.4) was epic! Everyone, every detail, basically everything...it all came together for better or for worse in 8.4. I hung on every word, every action and every expression from every character and it was totally fulfilling in all cases. I felt like there was more going on in ep 8.4 than in ep 8.3, 8.2 and 8.1 combined by a long shot. Well done I say! Ep 8.5 has its work cut out for it.

Pales in comparison to the movie
1 April 2019
Has the big name stars suited for the genre but everyone was wasted on an excessively drawn out, uneventful series with minimal action and a completely unsatisfying ending. Quite disappointing. Could have been so much better

Fear the Walking Dead (2015–2023)

This show makes you wish you were dead...
20 October 2017
It boggles my to think that "Fear the Walking Dead" is a prequel spin-off of "The Walking Dead". As tremendous of a television series as "The Walking Dead" has been over eight full seasons that is how AWFUL "Fear the Walking Dead" has been over three seasons. How it was not cancelled after season one is a mystery because it has gotten even worse over time.

Ben Hur: Episode #1.1 (2010)
Season 1, Episode 1

I say: "Very well done!"
17 July 2011
This version of Ben Hur focused on a portion of the epic version and successfully produced a very enjoyable movie in its own right. The 22 million dollar budget provided ample resources for the acting, sets and action. I had obtained this mini-series a while back but waited months to watch it believing it would be like all the other adolescent-like series emerging these days e.g. Merlin. I finally decided to watch it or give it to my nephew. I became instantly curious and engrossed and watched the entire 3 hour mini-series in one sitting. I watch too many movies and am ultra-sensitive to bad acting, silly fight scenes and gaffs in general. No leaps of faith for me. I thoroughly enjoyed the mini-series "Rome". And while I will not try to compare the two, I did notice similar elements albeit PG-13 vs Rome's graphic content. Discount the negative reviews and check it out for yourself.

Better than I expected
26 December 2010
My first review...As an avid Amy Acker fan I ordered this movie from the official website and was not disappointed by her performance. Despite some reviews "21 and a Wakeup" offers a realistic message from Chris McIntyre about what is was like. Operating on a $3 million budget the end result was poignant and at times a tough to watch depiction of the war. War does not command happy endings but the moments these people enjoy are captivating and emotional. The characters grow on you as the movie does as well. "21 and a Wakeup" does not assume to be "China Beach" but has a charm of its own. After DVD distribution it will most likely hit TV if you want to wait.
