Skips the Exciting Parts
5 November 2018
The best thing about this movie is what made me want to watch it in the first place, the cast. It's full of great names that I always enjoy. Now on to the negatives. The movie spends a ridiculous amount of time in setup. It spends over an hour setting up the plot, then has to rush through all the interesting parts. Speaking of interesting parts, the movie ended right in the middle of one. It should have kept going. It could have been great with a talented cast and an intriguing plot idea, but they messed it up. Don't bother with it.

Year One (2009)

Excellently Made; Hilarious
5 July 2009
This movie literally shocked me in how good it was. I was expecting a repeat of Nacho Libre, funny but the whole time your not really paying attention to the plot because the characters are stupid and overdrawn. I believe the characters did a perfect part in getting into their rolls. This movie was straight up hilarious, it pushed the PG-13 limit pretty hard and made up for it completely with excellent acting, writing, and goddamn clever idiocy. It struck me as an immature movie for adults, not just stupid jokes but reminding us that stupid characters and penis jokes are still funny as long as they're not pummeled to death in to the point of not meriting any laughs. Everything is done subtly and with class, but at the same time being screamingly funny. The bottom line is that basically the writing and directing was just good enough for the awesome cast to swoop in and give you a comedy that'll knock you out. Because I know there will be comparisons I've decided to blatantly say... its better than school of rock.

Worst Movie I've Ever Seen
3 June 2009
I just got back from viewing this movie at my local theater. I never like to walk out on a movie but this tempted me so many times. I stayed until the end just so I could have the right to blast it on this site. THIS WAS THE WORST MOVIE EVER MADE! It has horrible acting, horrible effects, a horrible plot, and was a horrible story. In the theater many people broke out in laughter, if they had marketed this movie as a comedy I may have enjoyed it more. It is reminiscent of a guitar player that thinks he is the king of the world but can't play a simple song without screwing up. Its painful to watch them show a movie that just constantly fails to produce any enjoyment or fright despite countless attempts to do so. Nothing in the story made sense and the "scary" parts may have scared a 5 year old in the eighties who had never seen a movie before in his life. Just think crappy computer graphics and a writer that must have been comatose while writing the movie. I cannot give specific examples of why this was so terrible with saying any spoilers and it would be hard to even think of this movie ever again, I'm posting this because I went to see it because it got positive reviews online and after hitting submit I hope never to think of this movie again. I caution whoever thinks he/she wants to see this movie to please avoid it at all costs, if you see it you will want to sue the director for the hour and a half of your life that you can not get back.

The Prestige (2006)
1/10
Good Movie, but a Let Down
29 January 2008
Warning: Spoilers
Okay, so everyone i know is raving about how good the prestige is. I admit myself that it looked really good on the trailers. Maybe its because i had such high expectations that i was so devastated by this terrible ending. If you've seen the movie you know the whole time everyone is questioning how the real transported man works. You keep wondering, if its not a double then HOW THE HECK IS THE TRICK DONE!?!!?!! Its a classic move, make a mystery the whole movie, and then when the explanation comes at the end everyone is amazed. This should be how it works. But the prestige ignores all convention and lays down that terrible terrible ending. The whole point of the movie is that you wonder how the trick is done. Then when they reveal it you are expecting some really cool trick. "how does the man make his body transport?" for some reason the answer to that question is: He simply clones himself and drowns himself every night! DUH! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Im expecting some cool trick and the explanation of how he does the impossible trick is that he does an equally impossible thing. Thats not an explanation thats just another impossible thing. Thats like me making a movie where a certain person can come back from the dead and saying "okay the trick is that he can time travel and just avoid his original death!" "get it? i explained it for u!!!" Okay well because of that i gave it a 3, it got a 3 cuz the movie was good but the ending was a big let down.

Dexter (2006–2013)
10/10
One of the best shows out there
19 December 2007
Dexter is one of those shows that most people have never heard of, but for the people that have heard of it, it is the top show on their radar. I read the books on the show and thought that they were pretty good, but when watching the show (and i do watch it religiously, every episode) i was simply blown away. Every actor is perfect and believable, and Hall plays Dexter with the exact amount of subtlety that is needed. After watching show you have a need to keep watching it, and after every season you feel 100% percent satisfied that it has given you the full experience, i love this show and i hope they keep making new seasons. If you watch the first episode and don't really enjoy it, just watch the next couple, once you get into it, you wont be able to tear your eyes away.
