Grown men who still live with their mom have become good-for-nothings who commit one crime after another. They are controlled by their mother, who is an uneducated mess herself.

The movie shows very well acted how the mother's constant presence in men's lives leads to madness, especially since she doesn't play by her own rules and everyone gets to feel her uncontrolled emotions. This is particularly underpinned by a weak and absent father. A particular crime then escalates the situation and everything turns out as it must.

The whole scenario proves to be a good reflection of life at the time and the protagonists are very vulgar throughout the movie. But it is also clear that they are mentally ill to a small degree and can't deal with life properly.

Dramaturgically, the movie drags considerably weaker in the middle of the film, as the focus of the plot was not clearly set, just like the protagonists' goals.

Two sets of parents debate and argue about what their sons did and the conversation moves into a full grown escalation.

The acting is mostly convincing, the dynamic of the conversations is good and creates some tension. The camerawork is mostly quite static but fitting, but some scenes were cheap and the static cam suddenly becomes quite shaky for no reason. No music.

All four unveil to be overblown arrogant pricks. Their morals drop by each sentence. They're degrading the concept of marriage, their own relationships, family and even having children. They are exposing their hate and disgust of all these things that make our civilisation beautiful. While doing this they start behaving like spoiled brats. All this becomes more intense and seems to be almost like a glorification of the hatred of human kind.

Maybe I am oversensitive to this degeneracy but keep in mind that R. Polanski is a horrible human being that loves to indulge in profanity drugging and raping women and underage girls. So his moral standards are very low and show many parallels to satanist and marxist essays and novels about the common folk from early soviet times.

This movie is about Nicodemus, the classic good-for-nothing lazy guy.

He has a eletrical repair shop, but he's not really able to repair anything. He jumps from job to job. Tries to have sex in his employees bedrom. Makes weird jokes with his wife. But the real star of this movie was the son. He was a smart cheeky wise crack, that behaved (and even looked) more mature than most of the other characters.

The plot is not really important, it's just daily life situations of Nicodemus and his friends. And it's kind of entertaining, because it doesn't take itself seriously, and often very hilarious.

The plot itself is very plain and cheesy. Psychic investigator falls in love with a woman that has psychic powers too. The characters are often overacted, more or less like in an anime. The music is barely there, but it's ok. The character development is low and as expected. I kinda liked it partially though, because it was different to most other movies, in some good ways, but also in many bad ways. What will probably disappoint most viewers is that this movie suggests in the beginning that it could be a cool mysterious crime movie with psychic detectives, but it developes away from that into a slightly comedic love story.

This is practically a huge advertisement for Nissin UFO Yakisoba instant noodles, so practically every scene has some type of product placement. The main hero works for the company that produces the UFO instant noodles, and he has a secret identity: UFO Kamen Yakisoban! He can't fly and he doesn't have super strength, but he's got 2 guns filled with tasty sauce, a helmet that resembles the before mentioned noodles, he can unleash devastating seaweed attacks, and has a very slow car shaped like the noodle cup! What more does a real hero need? Of course a romantic side story! The main villain is the evil Kettler, who wants to steal and destroy all kettles so that people can't enjoy delicious yakisoban noodles anymore! Isn't that a beautiful story? I've watched in Japanese, although I don't understand any of this language and still I found it to be extremely entertaining and funny. The soundtrack was outstanding, and reminded me of many Super Nintendo roleplaying games. I will definitely watch this movie again. It's amazing if you like silly humour, even without any Japanese skills.

The plot is not interesting, which is quite normal for a comedy movie. But the whole presentation is weirdly childish and doesn't fit the slight eroticism and potential but badly executed political criticism throughout the movie. There weren't many funny scenes in my opinion and I cannot understand the good rating. I've also expected more criticism of banana republic but it was pretty shallow. The screeching music was annoying.

Very well executed movie. The acting was really good, way better than what I'm used to from Hong Kong productions. The music was fitting, the plot development was interesting and made sense. I was surprised that this did not turn into a typical Jackie Chan flick with the focus of the movie being like 95% on him fighting nameless dudes. No it was actually a drama about illegal immigration, the daily hustle in a foreign country, love, crime, friendship and power in the world of the yakuza. The atmosphere was tense and dark, maybe this could be called a modern film noir. The movie had heart but could also be stone cold and really bloody. I loved it, it reminded me of the old Takeshi Kitano movies.

A very dark future is presented in Rhea Gall Force. Rightfully as thiis movie is set in a postapocalyptic setting. In 59min the story unfolds slowly and doesn't deliver great explanations on what, when and why the world is in the state that is, but it's also not like the viewer is being left with no answers. Since 59min are not much time, the plot mainly focuses on presenting the world a little bit and than executing a mission which is guided by hope for a better future. The enemies are cool, the political tensions are reasonably explained, the action is well done and brutal. The animation itself is also very good. I think everyone who likes postapocalyptical settings will more or less like this movie although it's plot could have been structured in a more interesting way. The English dubbing was as usual for Animes of that decade rather bad. Watch it if you like the Fallout games or simply like 80s Animes better than Animes that run nowadays.

It's a medieval set adventure movie made in the style of old italian movies about the roman empire. And it doesn't really work. Many characters, almost all are irrelevant and similar looking. There is not much acting, just people saying lines without much emotion or expression. The way the plot developes is nonsense. The DVD quality is hardly bearable, it's a big pixel soup, probably directly ripped from VHS and released without any corrections. One of the worst parts was how actions scenes were filmed, usually it were close ups and due to the blurry picture quality I had to guess what was happening.

Yes very chees 80s style flick, although it's from 1995 - but it was entertaining nonetheless. Some people will criticize it for a having a christian emphasis, but I'm not really bothered by it, I saw it simply as a good versus evil thing and that worked for me pretty fine. The acting was mostly convincing but not good, I have enjoyed the music and really liked how it took up the subject of the NWO one world government conspiracy and intertwined it with demons, that was priceless, keep it mind this movie happened before internet conspiracies were a thing! The atmosphere generated by these weird elements combined, really generated a unique entertaining cheesy movie. If you like cheesy 80s style movies this one should be a pick for you,.

The special effects are pretty neat, I also liked how dark the future was portrayed. But as it is quite often the case in japanese movies the dialogues didn't seem real and the acting was most of the time overacted. The action scenes were shot in a very bad close up way so it was rarely the case that you could properly witness what actually happened during those action scenes. There was no shortage of melodramatic scenes that seemed out of place. The dramaturgy is very flat. I cannot recommend watching this.

All set in a catholic school in Japan a series of crimes happen. That's basically the plot. It's not clear who's behind it and it kind of continues step by step and remains mostly interesting. So the dramaturgy is well set up. The acting is mediocre but the main protagonist delivers a good performance. The music gives this movie an emotional tone, a good one, similar to many animes. The atmosphere is quite dark but it hard for me phrase why exactly, but it is good and fits the scenario. So if you like good dark crime movies with an artistic edge or if you are a fan of Dedective Conan you should totally watch this.

I've bought the German Blu-ray release. In this release this series was cut together like a movie, sadly they didn't cut out the company logos at the and of each episode so it kinda threws you off. But it's a nice production, with a budget of approximately $25000AUS which is more or less 15000 Euros, they really put a lot of cool effects and props into this movie. Even the acting was convincing for the most. The ideas were good, the music was good and most importantly the dramaturgy was catchy and kept a suspense curve. I can only recommend watching this especially if you are into the postapocalyptic sub-genre.

I have finished this movie, but I have to be honest - I almost didn't. This was not due to bad acting, the acting was good and believable, the atmosphere was even there because of the music and well created props and outfits. But the way this story is told is not really contagious, the dramaturgy hangs itself already quite in the beginning with an unclear plot. Than in the middle part it seems to get it going but it's tedious in many moments due to scenes that were too long and irrelevant. The plotbreak around the end doesn't add anything neccessary to this movie, it seems to start a new story and some minutes later the credits are already rolling. Sadly not a recommendation.

It is hardly understandable how it is possible that this movie has less than 100 ratings on imdb (right now in 2018) although it's already 9 years old. What are people watching if not movies like these? It is for grown ups as well suited as for children. It is a very good almost magical drama, I can certainly imagine this to be a Ghibli Studios movie with it's charm and depth and incredibly charming characters. It was not a highly budgeted production which will make some small mistakes forgivable, although it's not a cheap production either. The acting was great and very believable, the dialogues were sometimes and bit artificial but maybe this was just a translation issue. It's a charming, interesting, exciting and unforgettable movie, watch it.

I was so interested in watching this and to see the polish perspective of these events and how Poland more or less looked like back than. Sadly this was not presented in a believable way, everything looked new, it appeared to be some kind of costume show, hard to describe. They also behaved kind of modern, but enough about that. The cinematography was a joke, I have no idea why there was so much focus on Natasza Urbanska, all that singing didn't make much sense to me nor did it contribute to the story. It seemed very overacted, as if every actor was a theatre actor and not a movie actor. Additionally the music was total out of place most of the time, often scenes appeared to be comedic because of the music and that was not intended.

I generally like chinese movies but I'm not so much into war movies, so with this predisposition this movie was an awkward choice to me. So I kinda enjoyed the first 10min, but after 30min I was really bored and that was the case because it was only fighting scenes in the trenches and ruins, and they really lacked in depth. There were some innovative scenes in terms of action but it was a very dragging plot that didn't really develop any suspense. So after 30min I have skipped the next 30mins that were also only trenches, ruins and fighting because I honestly had enough of it. So the second half of the movie is set after the war, and there the movie became interesting again, a lot of insights into communist China and many other things that I don't want to spoil, although that plot was dragging a bit aswell but not too much. Summed up: First half was a boring action war movie but the second half was a solid drama. Info for german viewers: The dubbing was really well done, but somehow the Bluray video quality was quite grainy so it was not as clear as it could have been I guess.

Creative yet chaotic horror-mystery anthology short-movies interconnected with each other. The story is vague yet funny and the atmosphere is definitely there, but with it's shortness and quick changes of characters it fails to deliver any suspense and tension. The acting is as usual in older Hongkong movies rather mediocre and often not convincing. If you are watching this movie in german, the title is: "Troublesome Night the A-Files" it is totally mysterious why they gave it this title, no information that this is the fifth installment of this anthology movie series nor any information on what "The A-Files" are supposed to be because they are never being mentioned. If you decide to buy this movie as the german DVD release, better be prepared for some traumatizing picture quality, it's as if they had ripped it from a very low resolution youtube video. The quality is so blurry and corny it's really distracting. But I bought it used for 69 cents so I'm not really complaining.

An anthology of short movies, I have no idea why this is considered here to be released in 2012 yet its status is "coming soon" - I bought this on Bluraydisc in Germany (already used). But to be a bit more specific: These shortmovies are mostly uninteresting, some of them are funny but it seems that the order in which they were shown is unfortunate in terms of suspense, because the first ones are the best and last ones are the worst. The last story was so bad I almost quit watching. The dialogues were comedic and weird and the acting was barely believable. Therefore I can't recommend it, not even for the 4 euros that I've wasted buying it. The only reason why I even gave it 5 stars is because of the first 2 shortmovies, these were at least quite funny.

This movie is about a girl that gets molested by her stepdad and than suddenly she wants more molestation but by others, so she decides to be a whore. And that's basically it, the performances were well done, all the technical stuff was really good. But what didn't seem to make any sense was the protagonists behaviour, we were left without any explanations to why she made one absurd step after the other... maybe bad writing? Maybe a try to get the viewers to think? If so it didn't deliver enough...

Good movie with well executed cinematography and acting. The writing could have been better because the plot seems kinda over dramatized. The supermarket atmosphere is well done, some performances a bit overacted but what really got me were the camera and colorgrading, it looked so much like an US American production, but more like a series. It was interesting to see where this was going but all the time I had to say to myself "really? isn't that a bit too much it's just a freaking supermarket" ... but maybe that's just me. What I really didn't like how they forcing US clichés on the characters that simply don't fit the polish society.

So this story is mainly set in Poland and partially in Germany. The main characters live in Poland and the movie shows the difference after the collapse of the Soviet Union of life standards in Germany and Poland very well. The protagonists admire so much about the western life like certain sport shoes and clothing, music everything. So they want their part of this western lifestyle and they are taking it. Over time they become successful but with success came problems. What started as a realistic good story on how the situation in the beginning of the 90's actually was, became more and more a story about unnecessary excesses, parties and all that stuff ... which was not really interesting anymore because the situations became repetitive and lacked in proper dramaturgy. But the acting was realistic and I would still say it's a "good movie" but not more, if you want to see how people who mainly lived under soviet occupation dealt with the new western options in life this is your movie.

It's about a meteorological station were some bad things happen. Parallely the investigation after the events is being shown to us by two charismatic policemen. They investigate step by step each clue and we're getting all the pieces of the puzzle piece by piece over the whole movie. There were some moments were I thought "oh no that is such an exaggerated situation/reaction" and but later on some sick twist made it suddenly appear reasonable. I think everyone who is into the crime/thriller/mystery type of movie should try this movie. The whole cinematography was also way better executed than I'm used to from Russian productions.

This movie is about a grumpy grandpa with many prejudices about Poland. Yet his granddaughter that lives with him is half polish. Her polish loving father reappears and wants the custody for her and get's it and takes her from Germany to Poland. The grandpa is angry and not able to understand how the youth welfare office could allow that. So he visits her and gets confronted with a different Poland than he had imagined but he is stubborn and grumpy and tries many shady actions and well the trouble continues. A very charming, thoughtful movie persiflaging the negative stereotypes that Germans have about Poland giving a fresh interesting view to a very close minded person. The acting is great, the drama and the thoughtful and funny moments fuse into a very entertaining and heart warming movie that I can only recommend.

First things first, I hate Korean movies and I think there was never one that I've liked. Well now I have seen this weird thing, there it is, the first Korean movie that I really like.

This movie sets the story of a family father of the loser type. He tries so much to be a respectable father but ... life is hard on him. And it is not so much about what exactly he does, it is rather the presentation that becomes quite charming from start to end.

The humor is surprisingly nice and it's not the type of humor that is too much in your face. The same about the thriller like elements it can really produce some tension effectively and grab your attention. It successfully manages to make you wonder what kind of weirdness will happen next.

Of course some things were a bit wacky, some scenes could have been less exaggerated(or even more!?) but if you like movies that are different than watch this. Also it has a kind of anime like feeling to it, so if you like animes this could be your thing as well.
