The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008)
Just don't bother!!!
I went to watch this on the same day as watching the new Batman film, and its never been more apparent how big a gulf in class can be between two films. I initially went thinking the Mummy was going to be amazing and Batman the opposite. How wrong could I be??? Whether it was poorly directed or badly funded, it just failed from beginning to end, terrible acting, Maria Bello, who i usually like was terrible, portraying a posh English lady, there was no connection with Brendan Frasier and both looked uncomfortable throughout the film. Special effects looked a bit dated to me, and didn't capture the imagination like the first Mummy film did.
I cant really find anything positive to write about this film as it was truly dismal.
The Dark Knight (2008)
Awesome!!!!
I went to see this film with mixed feelings as I have not been a fan of previous Batman films. Dark Knight however has changed that, however I also feel that this will be a peak of the series, as in my opinion the performance of Heath Ledger as the Joker made the film, and I don't believe they would be able to better his performance. I agree with the view of this being a bit dark for a 12 rating, as some bits are a bit "Dark". It is a long film, over 2 hours 30 Min's but it keeps you gripped from beginning to end, no periods where you're wishing for it to speed up etc!
I would watch this again and again, absolutely brilliant!
Banned! In America (1998)
What can i say to this
If you like this sort of thing then its good, it leaves absolutely nothing to the imagination. I thought I could watch this with morbid curiosity, but after ten minutes I had to switch it off. The soundtrack is truly awful as its like hard trance. I rated 1 out of 10 purely on the content in my opinion, i have seen a lot and this shock and may i say it disturbed me. I wouldn't have thought that things on this film could ever be recorded. It has been seen on films like the SAW series amongst others. But knowing this is actually real, it has a somewhat different effect!
Watch this if you want to see things you have never seen before or will again.
