Love and Death (1975)
The funniest film ever made.
Screw MP and the Holy Grail. Though that was funny and got a cult of losers who could quote every line from it, it has nothing on Love and Death, Woody Allen's funniest movie. I can't remember a single point in this movie where i actually stopped laughing to even breath. The throwaway jokes in this film are better than the grade a material of even some good comedies. A definite must-see.
Play It Again, Sam (1972)
Very Awkwardly Funny
This is a truly funny film, but not in a usual way. Despite many one-liners, the most funny things in the film, aren't conventionally funny, they're so awkward I couldn't help but laugh to the point of almost crying. Also, another weird effect of this film (and this may just be because i've watched 8 woody allen movies in two weeks) is that i've developed a crush on Diane Keaton. Life is strange that way. Also, I believe that the Humphrey Bogart illusion is the funniest thing i've ever seen in any movie. 10/10
Chicago (2002)
OK-but Spider-man should get the oscar nomination if this one did
This is a movie that has a very loose plot and the director obviously is very amateurish. Throughout the entire production pointless dance scenes are
interspliced with little explanation. The director's job is to make sure that the movie flows smoothly and tells a single-or multiple cohesive storylines. This movie makes you feel like your head would were it bounced backward and
forward without point. The intersplicing of the dances makes the whole thing rather jerky and confusing. Also the jokes come off rather flat. I rather liked Richard Gere's lawyer tho.
American Pop (1981)
A good time for those who can take innovation.
A good film that I enjoyed. The characters aren't ment to be liked, but the whole package turns out great.Bakshis animation is amazing and rotoscoping is as good as ever. Also, as is imaginable, the soundtrack kicks ass and takes names.
