deep touched
12 February 2013
today i saw this little masterpiece about love & death at the berlinale filmfest. at the huge friedrichstadtpalast with 1500 people inside, many of them were crying. it was such a great trip the whole movie. at the end there were 10min standing ovations for the filmmakers. everyone was deep touched by the story, great acting and such good music. the music is full of pain, you could cry the whole day. camerwork is well balanced and the picture quality is really good. the editing was a big surprise. it jumps between past and present without confusing the audience. it generates many dramatic moments. chapeau felix van groeningen & team.

surprised about the lame and boring story

Warning: Spoilers
i can not believe that there is only 1 year between this crap movie an the masterpiece babam ve oglum from the same director. how could this happen? maybe there is a lookalike from cagan irmak :)

many many faults in this story making me laugh. BUT this is a drama/thriller, no need to laugh in normal case.

the best thing is the grave few meters away from the main entrance. a completely not hidden place, you can see it from the street " hello, look ...here is a dead person....."

the worse acting between the "bad guy"and the taxi driver is the highlight. in not one second its for me interesting to hear what the bad guy is saying, because he is talking like in soap. the quality of the dialogs are the main problem of this movie.

the story is strange: as a small boy at a age of 10 he kills his own big brother with a pillow (that is really hard to believe) later he is the boss of media firm. (what a cliché) at the end he wants to kill the lover of his wife.

positive: the scene in the restaurant is fantastic. you can see and feel how crazy this man is. he is in a fight with the waiter. in this moment he forgets his wife and friends and acting like a bad ass.

hope this was the last thriller from cagan irmak, he is much better in drama.
