In some ways this is just another talk show, it has a monologue, guest and music, but it's on cable and the host is Henry Rollins. So I guess it's not just another talk show. Everything that's been said about Henry Rollins can be said about this show. It's hard, honest, and takes no prisoners. It's not about offending anyone, but doesn't care if it does, but I kind of hope that it does (offend someone). The show may stay one the air longer. It's not like his music, spoken word and books aren't good enough, because they are, but this way I get I get intelligent, well written editorials from someone who believes in what he's saying and backs it up, and isn't selling ad time to do it.

As a long time huge fan of most of the Scooby-Doo serieses (except for the ones that had Scrappy in them), I loved this movie. I laughed so hard through the whole thing that I almost didn't even notice the woman sitting behind me get a call on her cell phone. Most of the people that I know who knocked this movie weren't fans of the show. I said to them the same thing that I said to people who walked out of South Park: Bigger, Better, Uncut - "What did you expect?!" I wasn't disappointed by this movie at all. Even the less than perfect Scooby was acceptable. Dogs and Cats had the best talking animals in it that I've seen, but this may have been to realistic for a movie based on this particular cartoon. I mean, how many voices did Casey Kasem do for that show anyway? To keep this short, if you loved the campy-ness of the cartoons, you'll love this movie. If you thought the cartoons were bad, I don't want to read how you thought this was a waste of time and money. Honestly, what do you expect?

I thought that this movie was great. It was the first one of them that I had seen (no cash for cable in college). In fact, it was so entertaining with modernizations and spelling out of old jokes (Daphne and Fred always going off together during the splitting up parts, not to mention the jealousy) that it wasn't until the 2nd viewing that I realized that one my all time favorite actors was one of the voices (the god Tim Curry).

Even after seeing some of the other straight to video movies this one is still my favorite. I hope that there will be more, even with the laugh-til-my-face-hurts live action theatre release movies. Keep the Scooby saga alive!

When friends and I sit around discussing the fall of TV I always bring this show up. Some remember it, and others are clueless. Fox has let some good shows slip away and I never understand why. This show was funny. I'm glad that I'm not the only one that wished that it hadn't been canceled so soon or hoped that at some time or other it would have been picked up in syndiciation. Is there anything that people without the "anonymous voting tv monitors" can do to stop these kind of atrocities?

The first time I saw this movie I was floored. I had to rewind it and watch it again. I probably saw it 5 times before I took it back to the video store. The characters are great, the plot is edge of your seat and the writing and directing cannot be praised enough. If I have one complaint, it is because I like Benicio Del Toro so much, and he wasn't in it nearly as much as he should have been. His character hadn't developed enough so that I could understand what he was saying the first time through. So it was all the better for the movie, I guess, but this is among my all time favorite movies. It is a movie that I agreed with the critics about and the other fans.

This movie will entertain you and hopefully make you think. When I first saw this movie I just liked it because it was shocking and political. Now I still like it for both of those reasons, but as I'm getting older I realize more of what it means. Some of that may be because it's becoming so much ingrained into our pop culture that one cannot deny the message that it sends. In one of my grad psyche classes I was suprised that I was among the 3 in the room who had seen it (including my professor, who brought it up). This movie brings upfront what behaviorism and strict training can do to a person, and if we use our imaginations, what it could do to a nation.

People talk about brainwashing as if it were nothing. What was done to Alex, our humble narrator, could be done to any of us who happen to go against the morees of an area, a nation, etc. That is just something to keep in mind for people who think that this kind of training is what should be done to everyone in jail (and those who have missed the entire point of the movie, and there are those out there). So keep alive your freedom of ideas, hopefully they aren't going to hurt anyone else. And keep alive your love for milk bars, the old in and out and of course, Beethoven. Also don't forget it was a book, first.

This is one of my 10 favorite movies, and I usually hate to admit it. It has no business being up there with the hard-talking, gory, gross, gangster, or shoot 'em up action movies which otherwise monopolize my fave movie list. Although, "Casablanca" is high on the top 50 list, Bergman and Bogie doesn't even compare to the sobbing wreak that Garbo, Taylor, and Barrymore can make of me in this movie. I love old black and whites which is probably why I happened to see this wonderfully magic movie. But I'm a hard-core action fan. Still I guess that "Camille" hits me because there is death, deception, and denial in it. I think that much of our past is conveyed in our films, and if there was ever an American love story - oh yeah, this is awfully French - that could have inspired (in another time) a tragedy classic like Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" (which like his other tragedies I love because everyone dies) this is it.

I was excited to see the ads for this way back when it started. I have been confused as to whether it was a midseason or a USA since it is now on both, but now that gives me more chances to watch it. I have had professional experience with OCD and I think that this show deals with it realistically and, of course, adds to it for comic effect. The scenes where Adrian cannot deal with the situation until it is "perfect" are realistic. Of course, as in "As Good As It Gets" Jack Nicholson's character had the same diagnosis and look at what it did for that movie. I'm not comparing the two of them, but comparing just the presentation of two people onscreen who have the same affliction. Both have done a great job, and though it comes off as funny, hopefully we, as viewers, understand that there are people who suffer from this disorder and try to live full and productive lives.

Monk has made me laugh. I have loved Tony Shalhoub since his character in "Wings". He has proven over and over his abilities as an actor, not just a character. I have grown up on mystery series such as "Colombo", "Murder, She Wrote", "Banachek", "Kojak", "Remington Steele" and even "Scooby-Doo", and this is different than all of them. In short, if you like comedies (good or bad) and you liked any of the mysteries that you grew up with (on screen or in books) give this a chance...it makes me laugh and I sure can't wait 'til next week to watch it. I'd stay home if my VCR didn't work....

this review has nothing to do with the acting abilities, direction, costumes, or anything technical...it's all about the feelings and what it meant to me "way back then".... almost 10 years after high school i still remember this movie..... i caught this movie on one on AMC (i can't believe i'm that old)... but it was on cable TV when i was in high school and i thought it was a creative spin on the B-vamp movies, and it cracked me up. So one day when one of the cheerleaders and a guy who would become the VP for student council at the local college (i went there, too) were discussing 90201 i asked if they had seen this movie the night before.... at first they thought that i was making it up (i guess that it was my reputation for being stoned and/or making bad jokes). but for a long time whenever the previous night's television scheduled programs were discussed one of them always turned to me and said something like, "we're not going to have any of the vampire s*** today...."...to their defense, they thought that i was making up this movie, they weren't being mean....especially after one of them actually saw the movie and i pulled the ethnic card on us all (we are all from different racial backgrounds and i asked what they would do if their best friend was different, and by the way, weren't these parents cool? so they thought that he was gay, they still went up against the cops for him) i know that this reekes of total cheese, but then again, didn't high school? anyway, i've seen so many vampire movies and i had read all of the anne rice books (hell, i saw this before interview with the vampire came out as a movie....) but this was still a different view on an old story...

i cracked my ass up!! after all these years it still brings up some things that i didn't think about then, such as....how my parents would react if they didn't think that i was "normal".... and that the reactions of the parents in this movie reminded me of the dad in "better off dead"......and i wonder if those people from high school say this and thought about me... After all, isn't that some of what movies are about? where you were when you saw....oh... well... that may be music, my bad....but connie and angel, i thought about you when i saw this movie again tonight... to everyone else, this movie is worth watching if you like B-movies, vampire movies, and comedies.

i was rather upset when this show was taken off "regular prime time" television... it was realistic and funny. i was young in the 80's and never got to make my imprint on it (the 80's). but i love the 80's for what it meant to me. the music and some of the "less controversial" fads were great, but i however always wanted to be a punk. instead i was in the science club, the math club, the french club, and would never have gotten elected (that's the way my high school did it) to be a cheerleader, etc. but in the 90's that was ok. i eventually became "gothic", and showing underneath it all, i was a "punk rocker" in the most generic way in college (leather knee high docs, pink hair, fishnets, tattoos, ramones concert tickets, etc.) my friends thought that i was (to my amazement) cool. now, 8 years later, i realize what i did was to live for myself and not to forget that, above all, what i wanted to do was to have some fun. that is one of the things that i loved about this show...it's FUN, and it shows the embarrassments that we (especially that I) would love to forget about middle school and high school. i would love to forget how i tripped down the bleachers at the "big" basket ball game, or how i flirted with the cute boy when i thought that he was looking at me and not up my skirt on the stairs after lunch.... and most of all, i miss how from one week to the next i could go from one extreme to the other about whether i gave "a damn about my bad reputation!!!" you know that if this were a movie it would have rocked....but since the producers, being true to the times, only gave the watchers what seemed to be a one night stand (or whatever, i still can't figure out why this show was canceled....). i'll still be left with the bittersweet memory of what could have been....and wasn't.
