Seven Kings Must Die (2023)
What in the name of God was this ???
What in the name of God was this ???
This is not The Last Kingdom. It has nothing to do with the previous seasons, the books nor with history.
It was fast forwarded and poorly written. Some characters are freshly introduced and make it hard for the audience to understand their background. Osbert, for example, is based on Uthred's second son from the BOOKS and only the book readers can understand it's deal.
It's painfull to see how the lack of vision of some ruined the end of what was a great series.
Also, there is no evidence or written texts regarding King Aethelstan's sexuality, but of course netflix had to implement the rainbow agenda.
Scrooge: A Christmas Carol (2022)
Utterly disappointed
I've seen quite a few A Christmas Carol screenings in my life. This is by far the worst. It has little to almost nothing in common with the original Dickens story. A lot of defining quotes from the story are missing.
For example Bob Crachit's defining quote about his son: "Somehow he gets thoughtful, sitting by himself so much, and thinks the strangest things you ever heard. He told me, coming home, that he hoped the people saw him in the church, because he was a cripple, and it might be pleasant to them to remember upon Christmas Day, who made lame beggars walk, and blind men see." ... This one was missing.
Scrooge's: ""they had better do it, and decrease the surplus population."
Ghost Of Christmas Present's quote about the men of the cloth.
.... these were also mising.
At the same time, the movie was way to colorfull. Ebenezer's scenes, especially, are colorfull. They should be grey and in contrast with the light and joy of Christmas.
What Is a Woman? (2022)
Masterpiece !!!!!
On the one hand, it's very well done and a real eye opener.
On the ither hand, it shows just how far are some people willing to push their agenda, no matter how logicless it may be. These people loving progressives, blinded by their self righteous truth (their Truth, not The Truth), don't realise they are doing more harm to the community they pretend to protect. The parts where Matt interviews that gender studies university professor are both funny and vexing. How can people promote an ideology they're not even capable of explaining?
The Matrix Resurrections (2021)
THIS IS NOT A MATRIX MOVIE !!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's very hard .... Actually it's imposible for me to find my words after witnesing such a travesty.
I couldn't even go through to the end of it. I had to stop it after one hour and a 20 minutes, almost ...
This is not the Matrix.
This is not a sequel to the Matrix
Watch the first 3 films and now that it's concludes the story
Stay away from this regurgitation .........
Inventing Anna (2022)
Long, boring, cringey and totally FAKE
Leave it to the woke and frustrated Shonda Rivers to ruin yet another of what could have been a great series.
From what I've read about Anna Delvey/Sorokina she was a con artist that got a very easy punishment for she did. But along comes Shonda who tries, not really that subtly, to tell us that Anna was in fact a good person who actually tried to do something with her life, but failed because she was a woman in a misogynistic world of men. That's one of the themes Shonda tries to infuse into the viewer's mind.
The characters were again very unpleasant and very hard to get attached to. We have a very cringey lawyer (poorly written and bad acting).
We have a journalist about whom we do not know what stage of the pregnancy she is in and who can give birth at any time, insensitive and very disrespecfull to her husband who is constantly trying to do it make her feel ... again, poorly and very badly acted.
Since we're on the subject of badly written characters, the funniest moment for me was when Rachel, I think, accuses Neff of being Anna's "paid bi*ch". At that moment Neff immediately starts to get agressive, playing the race card and accusing the other of calling her a slave ... Really, Shonda???
Besides this, I'm starting to get really fed up with the anti-Trump rhetoric. It's been almost an year and a half since he lost the ellections. Get over it. Make art, not politics.
I'm just one more step away from canceling my Netflix subscription.
There are many more to say about how bad this series was, but I don't have the energy and time to get annoied with this BS again.
Before I end I have only one more thing to say ... That Accent ... OMFG.
The Many Saints of Newark (2021)
Woke, Boring, Disappointing
I couldn't wait to see this film ... I guess the Sopranos legacy is tainted
I was expecting a Goodfellas like masterpiece, but instead I got a woke parody that has absolutely nothing to do with the Sopranos.
Shadow and Bone (2021)
Total SnoozeFest
Well, I can honestly say it was 8 hours of my life I'll never get back.
The action seems very slow.
The acting itself is very shallow. There's no chemistry on screen.
There are no real explanations regarding the "war", therefore the context is blurry.
It looks like a 12 year old girl wrote the script for, you guesed it, 12 year old girls :))
The comparison with GOT is totally out of place ... Maybe with the last season of GOT :))
I Care a Lot (2020)
Childish and Fancy plot
It starts good but it gets lost along the way.
This plot is pure fantasy.
Going 1 on 1 with the russian mob and winning. I guess nothing is imposible if you're a strong independent woman :)))
The Gentlemen (2019)
Worth Watching
In the age of cancel culture and politically correct trash we need more films like this
Penny Dreadful: City of Angels (2020)
Political propaganda in an electoral year
Even from the first episode the anti-Trump started to unveil.
Now don't get me wrong, I don't like Trump, I'm not even from the USA, but comparing him and his supporters with Adolf Hitler and the nazis is way to much exagerated
The Handmaid's Tale (2017)
I expected more
Season 1 was quite good, giving it was based mainly on the books.
Season 2 had its thrusters reduced a little.
Season 3, however, was a sleeping pill in 13 parts. Long, painfull and dreadfull
