This was the perfect send off for Stark
26 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Tony is by far the worst character in the MCU and I cheered when he died in Endgame. I didn't want to watch this episode because I'm so sick of the entire MCU revolving around him and his whining, but my sister said I should check it out anyway.

I'm so glad she did! Tony was such a useless human being before becoming Iron Man and then after becoming Iron Man he was just a whiny mess and there was nothing interesting about him. All they did with him was magic up macguffins that made him look both interesting and useful, which he was not either in the MCU.

I'm glad this episode stripped all that away and showed him for who he really is. Useless, capricious, and cavalier.

Would have been 10 stars just for his death but I had to knock off 2 for murdering Rhodey and T'challa, then added 1 back for the implication that it will be Shuri and Pepper who save the day.

It's been done better, but also done worse

First, i just have to laugh at everyone whining about "forced diversity" and "wokeness" and "hollywood liberal" blah blah blah; all i hear is "wah! this show has all kinds of different people in it! just like the real world! like every city! but i hate it!!!!! mah misogynist homophobic white supremacy!!! i hate seeing people not like me!!!" anyway now that that's out of the way, the show is ok. really. people act. there's a storyline. it's an ok first responder tv show to watch. the dialogue is, like others have pointed out, predictable; plot is also predictable, but i feel like at this point in time after having been saturated by first responder tv shows for god only knows how long expecting it to have something unpredictable is expecting far too much. i feel like there should be less whining about "but diversity is the worst!" and more whining about how they're trying to spin it out like the "chicago" franchise (chicago fire, med, and pd) and they should because those shows do it better.

I know others have said this already...

...this is a rehash of Bryan Fuller's Hannibal (more so than the movies or the books) only they did it better, with style, better acting, and amazing visuals. Like others have said as well, Michael Sheen is the only thing making this show watchable - unless you enjoy seeing shows you've already seen, but the other one was better. If you're thinking of watching this, or have started watching this, do yourself a favour and go watch Hannibal instead. It's much better.

Always wondered when this would come out!

Warning: Spoilers
I was on Google movies the other day trying to figure a way out of the heat and saw that this was playing at the "cheap seats" theatre that also screens art/independent films. Having just seen the Bourne Legacy (and having been a Renner fan since before it was cool), it struck me that this might be my only chance to actually see this. Aside from the fact that I like Renner as an actor, this was filmed in my hometown of Tucson (albeit while I was living out of state - grrr) - which makes it a must see on my list. I really enjoyed this flick. It's well paced after a slightly slow beginning, but I didn't notice it so much as I was ticking off all the places I know. While it touches on addiction (gambling and alcohol to be exact) it doesn't over dramatise it and depicts it in a very real way. You can tell that Sam (Renner) is definitely an alcoholic and gambling addict as he is more than willing to gamble with not only his best friend's money but his best friends' wife's money! That's over the top yet very true to life. It kept my attention wondering what goofy little gizmo they would come up with next and how they coped with failure after failure with optimism, and humour which is only something that true friends can achieve. Thought Matt's (Roberts) wife leaves him, the movie does a great job of not depicting either one of them as the bad person in the relationship (which is so often the case when dealing with addicts). You even get the happy ending where everyone comes together and they make their millions and they pull it off without being cheesy. If you're looking for a fun and quirky way to kill an hour or so, I would recommend this movie. If you're looking for something that's deep and emotional and will change your life, maybe this isn't for you. If, on the other hand, you're looking for superb acting, this is for you.
