The CGI was the worst I have EVER seen. Obviously Sigourney was seduced with a Co Producer role. The story really tarnishes legacy of Ridley Scotts and James Cameron masterpieces. Just disregard this insulting nonsense. Appalling and the CGI was disgraceful. It looked like amateur's were paid minimum wage !!!!!!! This abomination truly tried to destroy the franchise. Just utter POOH. Those who directed, funded and and were sucked in to be involved should hold there heads in shame. Sigourney clearly had a financial stake, otherwise she would never have been involved. I wondered if Cameron gave her any advice.

We all know that visually it was always going to be stunning. But the story was so so poor and, farcical and implausible that everytime we moved on to a new scene it made you think that the original movie didn't exist ! The Colonel died but low and behold he is an avatar And wow he has a son, really ??
Grace''s avatar, which was DEAD is for some reason dragged back to the cryo tube, ALIVE. THEN gives birth to the immaculate conception !!!!! Just NONSENSE.
How in the hell did the stupidly named UNOBTAINIUM be superseded by the absurd notion that the fountain of youth is in the 4 eyed whales brain they somehow discovered. It defies belief. Graces daughter( Jesus of Navii) shows abilities akin to a prophet.
An underwater tree of knowledge.
The Colonels team master abilities that took Jake ages to master.
The Colonel gets CHOKED OUT deep underwater then defies logic and rescued by his son. The same son who turned informer on the Navi and was somehow welcomed back. And where did the water tribe go after the attack ?
Jakes family master holding there breath in days.
Jakes son saved by an outcast whale ffs.
Jakes kids display ZERO discipline and are the very reason for ALL trouble experienced in the entire 3 hour movie !!!
Perhaps I was expecting somehow that the story would evolve but for me the warning signs were raised when I heard Weaver and the Colonel were returning. The ending was predictably embarrassing. The villain survives to fight another day to appear with his miraculous monkey and Jesus of Navi and Jake and his brats. Soapy cliched cringeworthy fanservice worthy of being a family friendly animated special not worthy of a James Cameron movie. Bling over substance. Without the incredible 3D effects it is pretty lame. The story of the 3rd film has been laid bare. And to think they are doing 5.. yawn.

The 2 main actors, Edgeton and Bale did NOT pull this off. They did not create believabilty in there parts. I just kept comparing it with Heston and Brennar and it came up short. The 10 commandments was an epic of story telling which had you involved despite its length. The cast was poorly chosen and the narrative just not engaging. Dont get me wrong, I think they are both fine actors but they didnt suit the characters they had to. Sigorney Weaver was a very poor choice for her part. Ridley Scott is an epic directly but failed in casting and story telling. When you think of Scott and his magic you only have to look at Gladiator and this was far from that.

Just imagine that this non decrypt girl suddenly learns to fly the Millennium Falcon with no idea. Then she suddenly has a miraculous use of the force with NO TRAINING FROM ANYONE. Forget that anyone with the force needs YEARS OF TRAINING. Obi Wan, Luke, Anakin, Yoda, Qui Gon, PALPANTINE. Then just add a PLANET KILLER super duper killer. ON TOP OF ALL THAT they decide to kill off Han then Luke then Leia. What a disgraceful waste of a story.

If you are looking for some kind of ANY historical accuracies then by pass this. The screen writers have written modern day slang jibe into a western narrative. It sounds utterly stupid making it unbelievable. A top class actors breed for me cannot make this nonsense enjoyable. If utterly fancifully western escapism is ur taste then this is for you. For those he want a little bit of historical reality then give this a wide berth.

To have this ridiculous premise made into a movie was insulting to the original 2 movie. A brilliant ape somehow has the scientific capacity to refloat a spaceship and get it into orbit. Then ... get 3 apes back to past earth to be fated and react to the luxuries of this time. Cringeworthy. Simply a movie constructed to capatize on the original movie.

The writer and director has captured the pure essence of StarWars. This team needs to be in control of future movies. That new trilogy destroyed the originals. Everything in this movie was dynamic, extraordinary, revealing and in step. To give us a movie about a subject where we all know how it ends it delivers surprise and drama. And just to top it off.....LORD VADER. Ben Mendelson is the greatest greatest character created since the first 6 movies.
Not Redemption but Enjoyable Enough

Let me start by saying I disliked TFA and simply HATED TLJ. So I had zero expectations, even animosity as I had read spoiler free reviews and with critics in general rating this THE worst of the new trilogy.
So as I got through the first 30 minutes I found myself liking it. From then on I let go of my hate and got into it. Not to say that there were not plot holes and story inconsistencies created by the other 2 movies but it moved at a great pace. Now I have read that there was to much fan service, this is true. It was to desperate to be all inclusive and have every movie represented in someway. I actually didn't mind what they did with Rey and Ren despite my never warming to them in the other movies. The Palpitine story line was questionable and left me wondering how and why.
This movie was a surprise to me but also confusing at times with all to convenient tie ups.
Its NOT a 1 or a 10. Ignore those. Take it from someone who slaughtered TLJ at every opportunity.

Like many Im a massive fan of the 1st 2 Terminators but as this movie went on I knew this was just another unsatisfactory sequel. Frankly, i cannot believe Cameron thought this story was THE ONE. It's just to convenient to just erase history and rehash it all again. Especially what happened to John Connor, seriously James. Gone was the subtle crafting and directing from T2. Lots of good action but none of the tense drama off people and cops coming into contact with IT. Killing hundreds of cops and military personnel with no public and government fear and panic. Karls story was just not believable. It's really time to put a full stop on it.

WELL, this is one of those extraordinary appalling spin-off that is so bad its actually worth watching, only once. I cried with laughter. The acting, the script, the effects, the direction are impossibly disastrous. Watch this after Westworld and enjoy the HILARITY
