Batman & Mr. Freeze: SubZero (1997)
Great Movie
Great hero, villain, and story. Mr. Freeze is in the top 3 villains of the Animated Series. The Polar Bears were a nice addition too. An excellent display of Batman & Robin vs Mr. Freeze and the corrupt doctor.
Jurassic World Dominion (2022)
Continues with most of the flaws that Jurassic World took the series down
First, I will state that this was way better than the second Jurassic World. It was great seeing the big three back obliviously. Additionally, getting rid of the over splicing tendency was a positive trend. It was cool seeing familiar and new "historic" dinosaurs along with the more recent idea that many had feathers (though I prefer the more reptile look). That was about all that this movie did well. The main problems:
1. Way too much focus on the locusts, and using them as a big part of the plot.
2. The light "Star Warization" of the Jurassic Park past: a). The original characters were somewhat wasted it felt like. B). The strange shoe horning of the Lockwoods that the World franchise's has thrusted upon the series. C.) Cheap/hollow recreates of the old series (the power shutting down, the walkie talkies, the dilophosauruses coming in the sides of the train, etc.)
3. Whatever problems people had with the Lost World (which I loved) and JP III (which I liked), it never made any of the dinosaurs into actual human allies or semi companions. The same cannot be said of this film or the World Series in general. There is human-dino attachment which I don't think is believable, particularly with raptors.
4. Too much snow and cold climates with dinosaurs.
5. A disappointing ending with "we just must coexist with dinosaurs."
I was honestly fearing that it would be worse when I went to see it based on how much of a let down the second JW was and how mediocre the first JW was. Treasure the 1st movie. If you like JPIII and/or the Lost World treasure them as well. The Jurassic World Trilogy doesn't even come close to the injustice to Jurassic Park that the latest Star Wars Trilogy attempted to do to Star Wars. You are still left thinking is this the best they could do?
Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman (2003)
More Robin...less stale romance
I give this movie 7 out of 10 because the villains were interesting in their roles and the unknown batwoman creates an interesting "guess who" game. The movie, however, needs more Robin in it. He appeared in the movie in the beginning and sporadically throughout the rest. I always thought the new animated series did little justice to the neat new Robin character, let alone Knightwing. This movie just continues that bad tradition. The movie spends too much time on Bruce Wayne and his romance which wouldn't be so bad in one movie if the romance wasn't so unbelievable. It is still a good movie if you are a Batman fan and I would recommend watching it.
