Rotkäppchen: The Blood of Red Riding Hood (2009)
A Sexy Erotic Mystery!
Fairy tales weren't always meant for children to begin with. Just like the original "Three Little Pigs" and the original "Little Mermaid" Rotkappchen: The Blood of Red Riding Hood brings back the darkness. Like a rocket ship to the stars Rotkappchen starts off with a slow countdown. After we're past the middle of the first act, it's off to the races! Like many good indie films Rotkappchen gives us something fresh. Watch this movie with an open mind and most of all pay attention! It has something for everyone like a delicious buffet. Remember to keep the lights on! The story centers around a new student called Rose (Stefanie Geils). Rose comes all the way from Germany. She soon meets Summer (Sativa Verte) a sexy closet Diva. After catching Rose reading her book entitled "Rotkappchen", which seems to be the manual on surviving this movie, they become fast friends and soon much more. Summer shows her how to get boys, clothes and getting through a day of high school. What will really keep your attention is the series of murders happening all around them. WHODUNIT you'll ask, see Rotkappchen and get all your questions answered. Keep an eye out for Scream Queen Debbie D who makes a cameo appearance.
Writer, Director and Producer Harry Sparks blended the right amount of mystery, comedy, fun and sexy spice. Not to mention a very nice ensemble of talent from the top of the cast on down. Good job Mr. Sparks and congratulations to the entire Rotkappchen: The Blood of Red Riding Hood project!
Confessions of a Shopaholic (2009)
It's just a movie, but I have to say something!
This movie was my wife's pick for movie night out. I have to admit I did have fun and I never checked my watch. I think all of us have some type of shopping weakness. That was shown clearly in this movie. Now I have to get serious about something. The predator collector Derek Smeath would not last five hot minutes in the real world. What kind of a madman comes to someone's home asking for money? Plus this was set in New York! The only thing this clown would have collected was a bullet. Now when this jackass slammed her on national television he would have been sued. All Rebecca had to do was call the State Attorney General's Office. She would have had a strong case. All those witnesses, I mean viewers all saw what happened. However, people please pay your debts it the right thing to do. I know times are tough, but the collectors have it rough too. Back to our "friend" Mr. Smeath, the way Rebecca "paid" him off was cool. What I would have loved to see was after the payoff a representative from the Attorney General walk in a fine the collection agency double what Rebecca owed. So my word to everyone
just do the right thing. If you owe pay! If you're collecting money be smart, be safe and don't do anything illegal either.
Space Specks (2003)
In space you could hear me laugh!
I've seen this film twice. Both times I laughed myself to death. I mean that in a good way. I'm huge fan of sci-fi and comedy. Rick Dunbar gave us both! This was a no-budget production, but it had a BIG story. The best scene was between Andy the android and Lt. Covel. Trying to explain the sexual side effects of her telepathic enhancing drugs. To be honest, Space Specks reminded me of my favorite Saturday morning shows from the 70s. Such as "Space Academy" and "Jason of Star Command". In fact, the first time I saw it, it was a Saturday morning. Oh yes, I was enjoying some cereal too. I say this...check this movie out. Good sets, good acting and best of all A GOOD STORY!
Max Magician and the Legend of the Rings (2002)
People don't give this film enough credit!
I've seen this movie a few times. I've read all the comments. I want to throw my hat into the pool of words. First, I think people have been too hard on this film. OK, I give you this. The sound was rough. They had sound trouble. As a producer myself I know these problems can happen. Now someone said, "What do the rings do?". Well if you paid attention you would have gotten your answer. Etain said what two of the rings could do. The rest of the rings were in the book. Plus, Max got a ring of his own with directions from the Queen. If I can be serious for a second. Two actors, Greg Coale (Tom Tit Tot) and Erika Ann (Etain). I thought Greg did a good job. Why? Tom was supposed to be annoying with his rhymes. Also during the Max/Etain/Tom fight training scene. He was good at being a pain. However, he did his job, well. Next is Erika Ann as Princess Etain. She was good, but I know she can even be better. She will be a future great. With a tougher role she will really release all her talents. Keep making movies Kevin Summerfield. You know what you're doing.
