Zombie Love (2007)
Yep, I liked it
My thoughts? Watch it.
OK, so this movie was cheesy, corny, out there, whatever you want to call it but it was also REALLY, REALLY fun! It's a musical. There's a little action, some zombies, and lots of romance. What else could you ask for?
The singing kind of played like a spoof of 'The Phantom of the Opera' in the beginning of the film. If you were a fan of Buffy, think the musical episode where it was so silly that how could it not be fun? You can't go in thinking serious, or horror because that's not what you'll find here but you will find fun!
The Twilight Saga: New Moon (2009)
Very good!
I have read the books(I'm just finishing them for the 2nd time) and I went into the movie excited but not expecting a lot. A movie just never is CLOSE to as good as a book. The guys in the wolf pack were beautiful(as were the graphics.) Fanning and the guys who played Aro, Caius, and Marcus were all wonderful additions. Even Jasper's(Jackson Rathbone) acting is better! I loved it! It's full of action, adventure, and OF COURSE romance. I even jumped once or twice. (This coming from a CHEAP chick) I thought the movie was so worth the $10 we paid to see it that I'm going again!
My only dissatisfaction? I'm really frustrated by the number of people who voted low on this movie BEFORE it was even out. I may be wrong, but though there must have been a FEW people who saw it before it was out for the public, there were over 2,000 which leads me to believe that a lot of non-Stephanie Meyers, non-Twilight, non-Robert Pattinson fans must have voted. Oh well, I thought it was great!
The Brady Bunch: Kitty Karry-All Is Missing (1969)
Kitty Karry-All Is Missing
I love the Brady Bunch. It is such a clean, cute, and corny show. BB is perfect for family viewing. There are some really funny things that stick out to me though, like the way the parents seem oblivious to EVERYTHING going on with the kids half the time. It seems to take forever for them to step in when the kids are fighting, upset about something(Cindy is upset she only is allowed one guest and has to decide who to invite to her play in the episode before this one) or like in this episode when one of the kids is being bullied by the others.
The other thing that I caught and this is why I write is that as the court session begins Alice says dinner is almost ready. Five minutes later she says she can smell it and they need to finish up. About a minute after that Cindy yells, "Alice, something is burning." When Alice gets to the oven the roast is black. I don't know about everyone else but I've never seen a 5lb roast go from 'almost' ready to burned in under ten minutes. TV is a magical place, huh?
This show is more like one of the 50's then the late 60's and early 70's in its innocence. Sometimes I wish they still made TV like this.
The Select Fit (2004)
Interesting
I've never been into short films but with IMDb sharing all these great little flicks I had to try some out. After watching half a dozen or so, this is the first one that I have been drawn to comment on.
The Select Fit is worth watching. The film was shot really well. It's edgy and the color and sound are vivid.
There is a lot to think about and I think that it could mean a hundred different things to a hundred different people. To me though, as a Christian, it was an accurate depiction of how we justify the things we do and don't do by playing(or messing around) with our innate knowledge of right and wrong or what we KNOW the Lord's will is for us. (aside- note the shirt the quiet angel is wearing)
