I’m not trying to be an AniMat wannabe, I just like to use that style when I write my reviews. Review the best I can with the story, visuals or animation, characters and songs if there are any.

Unfrosted (2024)
Good start, but goes downhill from there
The film was off to a good start with a well-built opening, Jerry Seinfeld's directorial debut, and elaborate casting. Hugh Grant was miscast as Thurl Ravenscroft. Hugh is British, and Thurl was an American. He looks the part but doesn't sound the part. Kyle Dunnigan as Walter Cronkite was good casting. I give him praise for that. I admit that the sets and costumes are well done, and there are a few occasional laughs. I realized about 30 minutes into the film that there's nothing PG-13 about it. The tone and feel of the film are like those of a generic kids film. Some of the humor feels forced. Even the score sounds like something you would expect from a generic kids movie. A mix between a feature length commercial and a feature length SNL skit. It feels like the kind of direct to dvd family movie you would find at Walmart, like Agent Toby Barks. It has a good premise and concept. They both look promising. I've never been a Jerry Seinfeld fan. The further into the movie I go, the lower I give my personal rating. By the film's climax, I've been half paying attention and kept wishing it would just be over. I tried coming in with an open mind and hoping for a fun comedy. But, man. That was a mistake.
Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget (2023)
Not as bad as I thought
There have been some YouTube critics out there that either really hate this one or it's a mixed bag. Personally, from my own personal viewing experience, it's actually quite good. Not as great as it's predecessor, but still pretty solid. Aardman uploaded a short video on Instagram on animating Fowler. Watching it on multiple viewings made me wanna go check the film out itself. Stop motion animation, never ceases to amaze me whether it's from the Rankin/Bass holiday specials or this film. All I can think of whenever Rocky speaks in this film is Flynn Ryder. Other than that, a sequel isn't necessary for chicken run.
Los reyes magos (2003)
Really a mixed bag
I sat back watching it just in time for the holidays. Then, I read reviews saying that it has almost nothing to do with the birth of Jesus Christ. There were times when I thought I enjoyed it and times when I didn't. It's more of an epiphany movie than it is a Christmas movie. The character designs have a Disney-esque look. Not a great film, but not a bad film either. There are times when things start to happen with any of the three wisemen. It has this cliché where any of them were turned into stone or are killed by Herod when you know deep down that it wouldn't be the three wisemen without any of them. You know, without one wisemen, it would be two wisemen.
The Lion King (2019)
5 stars for the movie in general. 10 stars for the Japanese dubbing
I saw it twice on the big screen when I was 24. I thought it was as good as the animated movie at the time. That is until I played the animated movie over and over again and countless languages from Danish, Norwegian, Czech, mandarin Chinese amongst several others so I could find including Zulu. While seeing it one of those languages, I started to Love the Animated movie a lot more. Seeing it again in my late 20s and My experience was even worse than it was in my early 20s. I was half paying attention the whole time. The positives I would give are the visuals, Azizi and Kamari and their issues with personal space and the lion sleeps tonight. Everything else is 98% shot for shot and miserably watered down. Both scar and be prepared in this one are overall weak. If you want the best lion King remake, I recommend to check it out in Japanese. At least the people in that dubbing knew what they were doing and cared a lot about animation. Mufasa and scar sound like lions in that dubbing. The microphone wasn't too close or too far away for the actors to read their dialogue unlike English. With playing it in Japanese, I can at least pretend that it's a live action remake of Kimba the white lion rather than a remake of lion King. I feel the remake otherwise is just a shell of its former self.
The Simpsons: Treehouse of Horror XXXII (2021)
Fantastic
Best treehouse of horror episode I've ever seen. It's just like previous treehouse of horror episodes from the classic Simpsons. It's a roller coaster ride filled with laughter and shocks.
Pride (2004)
So meh it's actually funny
The premise of the movie really looks good on paper. It had a great concept, but a mediocre and later good execution in terms of the story. Suki and. Linus have character development. Some of the characters are one dimensional like James and Eddie just sitting there talking to each other playing the role of old men hanging out. I thought Macheeba was one dimensional as well at first, but I did she her as more than just an overprotective mother. The animation on the faces to me get laughably bad. Not only that, but it's a little bit dated for a TV movie released in 2004. The voice acting was stupendous and so do the visuals. There are moments where sometimes, I wish the characters would just shut up and.breathe like a.regular creature on planet earth. Some moments kind of reminded me of Lion King a little bit like Suki going vegetarian and Harry.falling to his doom (which was even more funnier than Mufasa's death in the lion king remake). I can tell some clips of the movie have been reused at times and some of the lip movements don't match to what they're saying. I even can tell the fight scenes reuse clips from other documentary movies and series. I understand it's to save time and effort. Some moments feel easily predictable. This TV movie is a kid distracter. All it did was made me wish I was watching videos from Rob.the Ranger, GG Conservation and The Lion Whisperer instead.
