Amazing artwork
23 June 2021
The best looking game in the series. Artwork and details are amazing. Definitely better than 3-rd and 4-th parts. Puzzles are logical and you don't have to combine everything with everything like in some other games. Most puzzles are pretty simple, but entire series was more story oriented as well. The only bad thing about this game, that it became more serious and lacks more humor the first games had.

World of Goo (2008 Video Game)

A fun puzzle game.

A fun physics puzzle game. The game has 5 different levels with different look and different type of goo to interact. The puzzles are not very complicated unless you go for the OCD (opptional achievments).

Wolfenstein (2009 Video Game)

A fun game
10 November 2020
This game is a direct sequel of "Return to the castle Wolfenstein" and you assume the role of agent B.J Blazkowicz again. And this game is fun. The AI of enemies is almost none and they are pretty easy to kill even on hard mode (there is alsoUber mode) , but they are plentiful. The final boss was quite tough though. The game uses checkpoint save system, which I sometimes found annoying especially in harder places. Weapons and special powers in the game can be upgraded, but there is never enough cash to purchase them all, so you have to choose. Some upgrades were pretty useless - like silencers. They never worked for me. Also there are some side missions, which you can skip. They are short and quite easy, but still worth playing for some extra cash for upgrades. The graphics look good, but there is one things that spoils it. One of the first powers you get is called "Veil". Using it you move faster, easily spot enemies, see in dark places and can spot hidden items and passages, so there is no reason not to use it most of the time. The problem is that is using it everything looks very greenish, so most of the game you see through the green filter. Overall it's worth a try.

Mystery Case Files: Huntsville (2006 Video Game)

Entry to the MCF series
4 November 2020
This is one of the oldest hidden object games. It's a first entry in the "Mystery Case Files" series, which at the time of this review has 21 game. This is a pure hidden object game. There are a few puzzles, but most of the time so search for objects. It only works on 800x600 resolution and items are often hard to spot and recognize. Also you keep coming back to same locations and it's often not matter of spotting items, but remembering where you found them last time. Well, and there is a time limit for everything. Overall, it's not the best hidden object game, but still playable.

Better than it's predecessor
26 October 2020
Though this one is considered the worst in the series, I liked it better than "The Sleeping Dragon". First of all it's a point & click adventure again. Some puzzles were pretty challenging and I liked that too. No more annoying box puzzles, way less stealth sequences and ways to die. The game still has a lot of drawbacks - like unskippable dialogs, awful camera movement and controls and pixel hunting. I hate when I have to consult walkthrough - it kills the "eureka" moment when you solve everything yourself - but I has to do that a few times just because I missed some items lying around. Took me about 19 hours to complete the game.

It's better than it's predecessor, but I would only recommend this for the fans of the series.

Warehouse simulator
31 July 2020
This game is nothing like the first two. First of all it's not actually a point and click game anymore. The story of the game if ok and it still has the humour of the first two games, but these are the only good things that can be said about it. There are a lot of bad thing about gameplay and some of them pile up. The camera movement is awful - you often can't understand which direction you are moving, keep bumping to the walls and see yourself from useless angles. Dialog scenes are unskippable. Unlike the first games, there are plenty of scenes where you can die unless you take some action. After that you have to go through same dialog again and again. This game has some stealth scenes and as a stealth game it sucks. Camera movement doesn't help here at all. There are plenty of box moving puzzles. Sometimes it feels like you are playing some warehouse simulator. The are not very challenging, but take a lot of time. Game puzzles are simple, but since areas to explore are pretty bit, it's easy to miss things. Some areas have lots of closed doors - you can examine, try to open or listen. Every time you have to hear out the the door is closed and can't be opened (remember dialog is unskippable). Listen action is completely useless - can't remember a single time in the game, when it was useful. You have to do some climbing and jumping in the game. Climbing points are often easy to miss, since the are not marked. I remember running up and down the street with Nico in the beginning of the game for an hour until I finally consulted the walkthrough - turns out I missed a climbing point on the wall. And finally the graphics of the game didn't age very well. I would only recommend this game if you a hardcore fan of the series.
