The Batman sometimes feels like independent movie, and it's good. It's dark and grimy vision of caped crusader which I've always want to experience on big screen. Bruce is young and have some anger issues. Although he is fighting crime for two years, he still must learn what does it mean to be Batman.
I don't like two, maybe three things. Zoe is great as Catwoman but her relationship with Batman evolves too fast and just feels like being built for fanservice sake. It's unconvincing and unnecessary, and it really adds nothing to the movie.
Batman should be more fragile. He is driven a lot by his uncontrolled rage, which makes him super dangerous and I'm loving this aspect of character, but he never should be 100% bulletproof...It was supposed to be the most realistic Batman movie, you know? And even his armor/suit is stylized as being self-made. Instead he takes all that shooting without a scratch. And even by the end of the movie, when being shot badly, he takes some drug and it turns out to be ok from now on.
Ending was too long. Batman saving people from flooded Gotham. Riddler meeting Joker. Batman spliiting up with Catwoman. The last two feel forced and unnecessary. TBH I hate the fact they placed the Joker in Riddler movie. Was it worth it for these dozen or so seconds? No. I guess it's a fanservice thing again.
That's all. Overall it's a very good movie and I like it very much, but with so little effort it could be even better.
