All Good Things (2010)
One sickenly good movie from beginning to end
A love story with an edge. Is it based upon fred durst? It is a love story that turns into creepy mystery. I cannot give you a spoiler because the begining is just as open ended as the ending. This is the way movies used to be made nobody knew the ending and it brought me back to that particular genre movie.
That Girl (1966)
The fore runner to a lot of shows
When people mention that girl some automatically I think it is the Forerunner to the Mary Tyler Moore Show which is somewhat obvious. However, they do not consider many parallels to Seinfeld Sex and City especially Sex and the City
Correcting Christmas (2014)
Quirky christmas is what we need
Ali cant catch a break after breaking up with her boyfriend , losing her shoe and getting seen rumaging in the garbage by her ex boyfriend and his current new snobby girl friend. She hits rock bottom and meets a unusal woman named ginny who she confides to about how she wish she could correct the mistakes of her past relatlonship. Its a combination groundhog day and ba Back to the Future but it's watchable kind of corny but it's watchable
A Christmas Cruise (2017)
Grown up and charming Xmas
Hooray a christmas movie for people who are grown. Vivica fox plays a writer workaholic who refuses to take time out to smell the roses . Her newly divorced friend suggests she go on a cruise with her. She agrees but only because she pressured by her editor to find a new storyfor her column. She is delightfully surprised and smitten by the smooth christoff St.John . If you like a charming story with grown up narrative for christmas than this for you
A Christmas Crush (2019)
Incredibly pretenious and annoying
Let me start off by saying I love holiday movies and I
expect little cornball here and there but this is ridiculous . This is too much and the part where the old woman said this my jam i felt like throwing up
Weeds (2005)
Weeds very addictive
Just watched seasons one through three yesterday. watching season 4 can't keep my eyes off of it. I think weeds is as addictive as the product she sells. It is very interesting how the characters of the cul-DE-sac vacillate in and out each others lives and how Nancy is a whole part of that culture. when Nancy rationalizes 'that she is not really a drug dealer' what she is really doing is somehow dissociating between street dealers and herself. Ironically, it is the so called street dealers such as Heylia James - a sassy mother wit of the drug business who mentors Nancy and Heylia's nephew Conrad who Nancy is very fond of even through she tries to separate her self from the lifestyle these are the people Nancy must connect with to continue her business There are several quirky characters that keep weeds hopping Demanding and condescending Cecilia, and her estranged husband dean, Nancy's goofy lovable screw up brother in law Andy. Nanny's brother-in law and Kevin Nealon is laughable as the crooked CPA helping Nancy.
Mistral's Daughter (1984)
The story line is the driving force to the mini-series
Ministrals' daughter is a story that is very compelling story despite the bad casting.Lee Remick gives a strong performance as the unloved and despised wife of Ministral and Keech gives an outstanding performance as the complex and cruel artist Mistral. Mistral in the beginning, starts out as an impoverished artist. He seduces young Maggie Lunnel(Stephanie Powers who plays an 18 year old but looks 40] lol He callously discards Maggie for American Business woman Kate Brown(Remick) after she promises him fame and fortune as an artist.
Maggie finds solace in an American Business man and has a daughter (teddy lunnel- who becomes Ministrals' mistress and has a child by him) Ministral falls deeply in love with teddy until she is tragically killed in a boating accident. Although, he has a child with kate he treats her callously ... it is clear that teddy's child is his favorite
