My Bloody Valentine (2009)
worth watching
Firtst of all. This film isn't one of the greatest horror films. It isn't scary at all. This film is similar to the Fr4iday the 13th films, the Halloween films. Its a typical horror slasher movie: not scary at all, it doesn't have any meaning, its just fun as hell! The user rating of 5.9 is pretty low. Yes, many people don't like this genre, thats why the rating is so low, but others do like slasher movies. I watched all of the great classic slashers and this one isn't bad at all. Its far above average.
So if you're a fan of slashers, I highly recommend this movie. But if you don't like the genre, don't say this movie is bad, its just not you're type.
WWE: Extreme Rules (2009)
very good, many lightweights.
The first match(Kingston vs MVP vs Hardy vs Reagal) was a pretty good opener, with a few great moves from Kofi, MVP was also pretty good, Hardy and Regal were just there so it wouldn't be 1 on 1.
Mysterio vs Jericho: good match, Rey shined as always, Jericho didn't really do anything special, and I also didn't like the ending.
Umaga vs Punk: good, but if it was a no holds bared, it would have been much better. The strap limited Punks mobility, it slowed down the match.
Christian vs Dreamer vs Swagger: all three competitors were great. Swagger is a very talented youngster, Chirsitan and Dreamer have a lot of experience in these kind of matches. I think this was the second best of the show.
Vickie Guerrero vs Santina- just wrong. I fast forwarded through most of the match.
Orton vs Batista: it was surprisingly good, ended a little early.
Cena vs Big Shown: come on these guys know about 8 moves between them. Cena is just awful against another heavyweight.
Edge vs Jeff Hardy: best match. These 2 are clearly the best in ladder matches! The ending of the match was great. I wasn't happy to see Punk, but the Edge-Hardy-Punk match will be fantastic.
So it was a very good show, many lightweight matches. . But they made 2 huge mistakes: the Hog Pen match and the Cena-Show match.
Shichinin no samurai (1954)
great!
I wasn't sure about watching this movies at first when I saw its insane runtime: more then 3 hours. I thought that it would be very slow and boring, but I was wrong. 3 well spent hours. The movie has a good story and great characters. It also has good jokes. You could actually call this a comedy. Kikuchiyo is probably the best character. His really funny, he raises the villages and our morale, but he is also a brave warrior. The movie also has drama and adventure and these parts are also great. I already talked about Kikuchiyo, but the other six samurais are also great characters. We have a very serious guy who only wants to perfect his fighting skills, we have an older and very smart samurai, a youngster, who is still more a kid then a warrior, etc.
A movie well worth watching! 10
PS. This is for the younger generation. I am 18 years old, still I sat down to watch a 3 hours long black and white movie. It doesn't have to be in color to be good. And its much better then the sh*** Hollywood has to offer. Old movies are not as spectacular as new ones, they don't have pyrotechnics, but at least they have a meaning! They make you think.
Supernatural (2005)
it depends
The way you will see this TV show depends much from you're expectations. If you expect it to be scary, you better not waste you're time with it, you wont like it at all. I saw a lot of horror film and probably less then a dozen of then were scary even if they all tried. This is no exception, but the difference between the wanttobescary movies and Supernatural is that Supernatural isn't made to be scary. Its made to be entertaining and funny. All the episodes are based on books, movies, myths, so don't even expect it to be original. Its more like a big story-book with a background story and a lot of myths. All of the episodes are entertaining, and thats all that a TV show needs. Thats there only mission:entertainment.
10/10
Lost (2004)
didn't like it at all
I have really mixed emotions about Lost. I loved the first season:it was original, had a great storyline.. Then came the second season and it looked like the writers completely ran out of ideas. The first season was pretty realistic, with a few supernatural events, but still, it looked almost real, but it went down hill form here. When the writers ran out of ideas, they made the show really unreal. So why did they dish out a supernatural show like a realistic one? Every season after the first was just a cheep way to make some money, because even if some people still like the show, many only watch it from plain habit. The new parts are stupid, badly written and confusing(so people will want to watch the other parts to understand the story). If i want to watch a realistic show, thats also thrilling, then there's 24, and if I want to watch a supernatural show, then there's Supernatural(yeah, I know, this sentence really sounds stupid) This mix of the two just don't have what it takes. Good first season, but very bad from the second.
12 Angry Men (1957)
pure genius
This film was fantastic! I was very sceptic when I sat down to watch this film: a black and white film, and 95% of it takes place in a room thats smaller then my bedroom. At first I thought it was just another overrated movie that isn't even half as good as the statistics show it. But thank god I was very wrong!I loved it!It makes you think. When a poor kid is on the verge of being sent to the chair, the jury wouldn't even go through the evidence again, they condemn the kid, but one of then opposes the others and gives the kid a chance.
This was one of the most tense movies I saw and the intellectual value is also enormous. It surpasses most of the great detective movies we saw and it doesn't even need fireworks and gunshots to do so!
Watch this movie!
Kyle XY (2006)
booooooring as hell
I think this is probably the most overrated TV show that ever existed! And don't get me wrong.I like TV shows but they need a good concept. House MD-the sarcastic, sour doc 24-the agent who always does what is right and what he has to in order to save lives
But when I heard the concept of this, I thought it was just plain stupid. Still, if you play you're card correctly you can still make a good show out of a bad concept, but this isn't our case. I found Kyle XY very stupid, and very, very boring. There could be many people who like it, I'm not one of them! So if you want a good show, find something else, but if you're not bored quickly, you could still like Kyle XY.
