Just Married (2003)
Loved It!
Roger Ebert must be getting old. I read his unflattering review of "Just Married", and then I went to see it anyway.
I loved the movie. Ashton Kutcher and Brittany Murphy are equally hilarious, and the plot tackles several societal obstacles that threaten true love. What is there to like about this movie? It's fresh, the dialogue is youthfully funny (including happening new ways to put a fresh spin on worn out curse words like "son of a *&$%%!") and there is a lot of eye candy, both in the fine forms of the lead actors as well as the glimpses of beautiful European vistas. Beyond the surface, though, is a touching story of true love.
Go see it. See it for the wonderful chemistry of Kutcher and Murphy, whose side splitting antics will make you laugh out loud. You won't regret it.
Miss Lettie and Me (2002)
Bring on the Kleenex
I loved this movie! The actress who played Travis was engaging, and all the other performances were excellent, too. Sure, it was rather predictable, but who cares? It's Christmas, and everyone needs a good family story now and then.
