gimme my 2 hrs back...
25 July 2011
So, here it goes...Captain America.....

i don't care much for the character to begin with...this is something that might have worked 30 years ago, dunno. A stupid dress, and a shield...not much to work with, eh? I like x-men and batman, but some superheroes are just plain boring...Cap is one of them... the movie is something that might work for a 12year old, but not for adults...I'm going to see green lantern soon, and I'm sure i will like that a lot more than this. What bothers me most maybe , is the origin thing, that takes way too much time out of the movie...why cant you shorten that down to a montage? Most ppl will know that story beforehand anyway. Also, the Villain, he never got introduced as he should have...there is much more one could have shown to explain what he is all about, but that was swept under the rug, mostly. He looked good, but he wasn't really scary.

If you enjoy this movie...more power to you, but i demand a bit more from a good superhero movie. Im not going into detail. as one other guy said..the villain never was a great threat, all felt so rushed...very little action in this, too...silly action, nothing that makes you go Wow!!! Its really too silly for adults to enjoy...nothing that stands out, everything was just average..felt like a montage of sky captain and He-Man...well, id say, its a movie the world doesn't need, sadly, they felt they had to do it, just to build up for the avengers movie, which i believe will suck bad, too. I give this just 2 outta 10.

just one of those movies to me, that have something going on...

Warning: Spoilers
As there are already quite a few Reviews on this, i wont go too deep on this... I just love this film, because it triggered something...it has a certain charm about it, and anyone who likes 80s action B movies(although this isn't even from the 80s) should understand what i mean by this...

Sasha Mitchell is great in this role....he is cocky and cool, funny at times...just the right approach for this type of role, i think. Though the film has its flaws...surprise, its a cheap movie, and if you want you will find something to stink about...some movies just need a certain amount of disbelief , and you're fine...

I wish i could have the song playing in the opening, but it seems to be unavailable.. no surprise there, but sad nevertheless...

The war poem is something that really stuck in my head..

How anybody feels about a movie is rooted in personal feelings and observations...to me its a fun ride, and id so love to be John Bolen for a day or two....enjoy!!! My mission is met!

Interesting
1 May 2011
Well, i felt compelled to write something about this, less about the show but the star itself. As a Fan , i find the whole show interesting, lots of stuff no other Filmstar would dare to show you, and more than a Fan maybe wants to know. In short, Van Damme seems a W R E C K , at least once in each episode( i have seen six so far). Due to him being a grand bi-polar, and adding his own disappointment about the mistakes he's made into the mix, he displays that in a big way more often than one would like to see...he "needs " this fight against Kamsing(he thinks)to prove to his Fans and himself, that he still has it...but one wants to argue that that isn't needed, since he never was a professional kick-boxer and nowhere near the abilities of a S.Kamsing, who won Olympic gold in his active time. I would wanna shake him and drag him to a doctor, a therapist to clear him of the delusion he has about that fight and to realize that his biggest problems are within his head. Sure, guilt is a bitch, but thats the wrong way of addressing or curing that. He indeed has a great family, especially his wife...and i guess he knows that. There are better ways to get over the fxxx up he oh so regrets...and it sure blows to throw away a big movie deal and to destroy your health with lots of cocaine. He still has great ambition, still seems arrogant sometimes-even though he goes to great length claiming otherwise. He claimed to wanna do better movies-did not happen....the industry isn't too keen on 80s action stars anymore..and the only chance at reviving that( THE EXPENDABLES), he blew off"whats my role?" He should focus on his mental health and indeed take some time off as he himself proclaimed he wants to. Be happy you're still alive , JC. I rate this 10, because this is relevant to my interests.

The Road (I) (2009)

boring....why do people love this movie so much?
8 January 2010
I just saw "the road", and im beyond not impressed. I haven't read the book, so i didn't now it was based on a Pulitzer-prize -winning book. But its about the movie, so here it goes.... For the first 30 minutes i was somewhat hopeful, but i got bored and angry at my decision to watch this beyond that. Some scenes were awfully rushed and cut, especially down in the shelter, that scene skipped to the next scene of them leaving much to fast, without a clue who was up there and so on... while i get the hopeless scenario and all, it didn't provide any entertainment, something i expect even from a serious movie like this one. The tearjerker scenes, sorry -much too obvious and wannabe touching. The much praised boy just annoyed the hell out of me, especially the poppa, poppa..terrible........ I cant describe all scenes, but honestly , the movie just made me look for the stop button on my remote. Since i was watching it with friends, i didn't touch it. There are much better post-apocalyptic movies than this one, and i sure don't need this movie to understand the problems of this world and what we may be heading to....this movie to me seemed rushed and flawed in many places. Since i didn't enjoy this movie, i wont go beyond this point to describe the movie further....it just didn't do anything for me....i hope i find more negative reviews here soon, since i cant believe im so alone in disliking this movie.

this is less than a paycheck movie for VAN DAMME..contains spoilers
1 January 2010
Warning: Spoilers
So my review now of UNISOLS 3-regeneration (should be called D-generation)

This movie was a real letdown in almost every aspect, lots of great opportunities wasted. Having Dolph Lundgren on board should have given the chance to really kick ass, but it seems as if good ideas these days are more than a b ( or is it c?) movie-budget can afford. There was a glimpse of hope with Dolph , just a few more lines of dialogue..lol...he even requested it, before van damme blasted his head off!!! But if your set is only a Bulgarian ruin of an industrial complex, it seems there isn't much to work with...you have a Russian terrorist/freedom fighter, a crazed doctor, a Übersoldier-also Russian...a nice woman doctor who takes care of van damme in therapy,lol....but then sends him on a mission without really trying to keep him out of that...kay, orders n stuff, but hell...the story is thinner than a hair....van damme...I've never seen him play with less passion, he looked so tired, it hurt!

The brutality in this movie bored me to death, no choreography whatsoever, just blood and cracking skulls n bones...its not the bodycount that makes a movie good, guys....why do you do that....to kill off 20 guys in a rush doesn't tickle my balls at all...

there wasn't one funny line in this movie, not one!! If i remember correctly, that was a big part of the first film, and it worked.

Van Damme has very few dialogue, but he played a braindead guy anyways....why not get the doctor nurse kidnapped , thus giving him at least , sort of, a motivation to go in there... I dunno what else to write, i could go endlessly, but this movie isn't worth it. In the end, Van Damme runs away from the scene, no happy ending hugs, no closure, no nothing. It seemed to me as if that scene wasn't part of the script, but more like...he really wanted to get away from this joke of a movie...cant blame him, really. I give this a 3 out of ten, just for the few scenes of Dolph, who really was the only hope in this movie, but some retard decided to blow it. peace out, welcome to retard cinema.
