Prime made a mistake canceling this series

This is an exceptional sci-fi series and these days those are rare. Character-driven, mysterious, and suspenseful. Excellent acting. Good effects. The writing really conveys what it feels like to be in the characters' shoes.

Not bad, not great
20 March 2022
Acting was great. Sets were great. Cinematography was great. It was a very simple premise, which I enjoyed greatly. However, the surprise ending fell flat because there wasn't enough character development to make it meaningful. As a result, this is a nice little movie that could have been much more, but ultimately is very average.

If you didn't shed a tear, you aren't human.

This is easily the most powerful episode of S1 and has heartbreak up there with ozimandias of Breaking Bad. When I got done, I didn't want to watch it again, but had to when my wife watched it. She'd a tear that time too.

Let me save you 2 hours
21 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
A lot of people love this movie, including the critics, my wife, my coworkers, and my friends. I don't get it. I never got it. I think those people are smart, so I gave this movie 4 stars instead of 1.

Let me save you 2 hours. This movie is about how 6 American refugees hiding in Iran after militants stormed the embassy were able to escape back to the US. How did they do it? They pretended to be making a science fiction movie. That's it. That's the movie. You can read the brief plot intro right here on IMDb and know everything you need to know.

We all know the 6 people were rescued so there is no suspense. It's not even a spoiler because you can just sense it the whole time.

You: Missing White Woman Syndrome (2021)
Season 3, Episode 3

Warning: Spoilers
Lots of anti-vax folks on here complaining that this show accurately depicts the consequences of their stupidity. Then have the nerve to call pro-vaccine folks "snowflakes". This was a good episode folks and leaves me excited for the next one.

The great thing about You is that it depicts horrible characters like Joe and Love literally being terrible people, but let's the audience join with them in their triumphs. You genuinely feel good about these two that they don't frame the neighbor's husband - and you get a warm feeling that good won out over evil. But you are living with them in their delusions. It's a reminder that we do this all the time. I know I'm explaining the obvious - this concept is what the whole show is about - and you all get it, otherwise you wouldn't be watching. That being said, this episode has some great moments of exactly this.

Other reviewers on here are upset that the writers are apparently being too "political". Well guess what, vaccines shouldn't be political. They are a medical and scientific wonder that a particular political group have made political. A guess what - anti-vaxxers are responsible for a resurgence of measles which occurred well before the current pandemic, which is what this episode is about. Not covid. If you are so offended by that, then TV isn't for you.

Groundhog Day, but not
26 February 2021
When you first watch this, you are thinking "yeah this is just Groundhog Day". It has the same premise, but in actuality it is a totally different movie. It's not winning any Oscars, but it is definitely worth the watch.

Groundhog Day is a simple movie with a simple message about being a good person. Palm Springs takes this premise and actually does something with it in a way that is both entertaining and intellectually fulfilling.
