Chillar Party (2011)
A great film for both the Children and Adults
For the last few years...a good film for the kids has been hard to come by. After the era of the master director like Satyajit Ray and Tapan Singha real good children movies were made very few in numbers.
This film not only rises the hope of viewers to expect some real good children movies in the coming future but also takes the children movies of Indian cinema to a new height.
I would really like to congratulate the writers and directors of this movie, for such wonderful work. Making a children film is not a easy task, as the performance the child actors, the music and above all the story all should be appropriate. In this movie, all the children artists have given such amazing performance, we should really be proud to present this film to all over world.
It doesn't have the mind blowing special effects like Harry Porter or Chronicles of Narnia but they really acted not any less than the child stars of the Hollywood movies.
The story itself is very relevant in this city life of ours, as we here don't look to get in trouble for any reason...saving a dog is the least of it. We also ignore the feelings of children so often, compelling them always to accept our decisions.
We make them like ourselves, always submit ourselves to oppressive forces, how unjust those may be, to avoid inconvenience. We teach them the right principles but a wrong way to live with those principles. We do not encourage them to live life exercising those principles.
The film shows the fight of the gang, "Chillar party" against the proud minister in their own way. It touches the hearts of the viewers and this is the success of the film.
El secreto de sus ojos (2009)
A story to remember
Haven't seen such a complete movie for a long time. The story is simply magnificent. It is not just any story of vengeance but the underlying love fulfilled the story with such colorful romance and joy.
It wouldn't be improper to say it a love story. Love of the husband for his dead wife, love of Esposito for his superior Irene touches the viewers deeply. Espanito's silence, thinking his love is inappropriate moved me a lot.
The performances of the actors and actresses are excellent. Specially Irene and Espanito's characters were beautifully played. The part of the film which makes me really mesmerized is the end. The revenge was so appropriate and shocking and it even makes Espanito to shake his fear and live a fulfilling life.
"The secret in their eyes" is really the kind of the secret I would watch for.
