Servant (2019)
GREAT Chilling Mystery!!
I've watched all five episodes and have found them to be quite interesting! I'm actually loving all the characters so far. The snarky remarks that both Dorthy and Sean have for one another are hilarious, along with when they have their bathroom discussions! Something that is hard to pull off for me is a creepy suspenseful thriller that has the ability to make me laugh (at times) without being a "black comedy", and Servant has done just that! All in all, it's definitely worth my time, and anyone else's if they enjoy a creepy unpredictable thriller!
Til Death Do Us Part (2017)
Sleeping With the Enemy & their Children
Review contains a few minor differences with this movie vs. Sleeping With the Enemy, which some might consider spoilers IF they have seen Sleeping......
Having seen Sleeping With the Enemy starring Julia Roberts years earlier, like most of the other reviewers, I was disappointed as well! However, I will say this movie wouldn't be half bad if you've never seen Sleeping With the Enemy. For as many likenesses, there are just as many differences. Without interjecting major spoilers, I'll list just a few. There are young children involved, Madison/Kate has a best girlfriend to help her, automobile accident instead of drowning, an ailing father not an ailing I mother, Lemon Meringue Pie instead of Apple Pie, toilet seat left up rather than straightened cans in kitchen cupboard, and necklace rather than a wedding ring.
All in all, a good movie that's visually appealing with good acting out of Taye Diggs.
The Path (2016)
I've seen "The Light" with this Series!
I literally am finding it difficult to quit watching this show! However, it looks as if I'm going to have to because I just found out it was canceled! I'm on S3E9 and the acting (Aaron Paul & Hugh Dancy) is stellar, storyline (Meyerism Movement) is new & fresh, and character enrichment is flawless! What the "hell" HULU? Unfortunately you HAVEN'T seen "the light" and you didn't follow the right PATH! Shame on you HULU!
Mute (2018)
Worth the Watch...unless you're looking for Supreme Sci-Fi!
This is a legitimately good film! Granted, it's not the "best" movie I've ever seen, but it is definitely worth your time!
Cactus's (Paul Rudd) arrogantly dry & dark sense of humor, Duck's (Justin Theroux) seemingly unwavering loyalty to Cactus, and Leo's (Andrew Skarsgard) extremely loud (although no words are ever even spoken) love for his girlfriend, make this film not only watchable, but wonderfully entertaining and surprisingly moving! The performances of all three of these top notch actors were spot-on for me - especially Mr. Skarsgard (which isn't easy when you aren't required to say ANYTHING)!
Throughout, "Mute" does contain basic futuristic aspects regarding transportation and communication. However, I think you may be somewhat disappointed if you are a lover of "Sci-Fi" and you're expecting this to be a Science Fiction Thriller....because it is not!
