Sucker Punch (2011)
7/10
Sucker Punch is a must.
26 March 2011
This movies is a hit, I did enjoy every part of it and Zack Synder is Back everyone.

Screenplay was very good, casting wasn't bad at all, Visual effects and sound effects were outstanding along with a new Cinematography techniques that I witnessed some of them during the movie for the first time, But what really made this movie special beside the great action scenes that you will witness, is the recomposed soundtracks that were chosen and re-made in a genius way to be within the context of the movie to let you enter a true fantasy each time baby doll starts dancing.

What's really great about the movie, is that each time when Baby doll starts dancing you don't actually watch her dancing, but you can actually feel the doing her magic through the music and the fantasy being created during each segment.

Finally, I'd like to outline a great point the movie was trying to point out all the time, it's that we all have the weapons to stand for our causes, but......... Are we gonna stand for them or not ? Great movie.... It's a must.

Inception (2010)
10/10
A God Made.
8 August 2010
Words like "Brilliant", "Original", "Breathtaking" or even "Master piece" aren't enough to what was created from the new God of the 21st century of cinema, Christopher Nolan, and I can't truly find a suitable word to describe "Inception" to make you go out right now and watch it , because not watching this movie is not a must, it's a crime.

In Inception, Where dreams meet realities and Illusions start forming to something we never encountered before, Dom Cobb(Di Caprio) is an extractor who is paid to invade the dreams of various business tycoons and steal their top secret ideas. Cobb robs forcefully the psyche with practiced skill, though he's always haunted by the memory of his late wife, Mal (Marion Cotillard), who has a rapid habit of showing up in his subconscious and havocking his missions. But then, the journey begins when the wealthy business man Saito( Ken Watanabe) hands over the responsibility of dissolving the empire of his business rival Robert Fischer Jr.(Cillian Murphy). But this time his job was not to steal the idea but to plant a new one: 'Inception' And this is where the ultimate excitement begins. , Cobb's specialists team up with him To carry out the task, Arthur (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), his longtime organizer; Tom Hardy (Eames), a "forger" who can shape shift at will; and Yusuf (Dileep Rao), a powerful chemicals supplier.

Cinematography combined with visual effects created a new experience in the action scenes where you start "losing gravity" and you realize that you aren't just watching the scenes, you are feeling them to find yourself pulled inside the screen to enter a new dimension of nested dreams where your head will start literally aching you. As for the music, Hans Zimmer's compositions were made to start haunting you electrically during the whole movie to take you off the edge of your seat. And finally the plot, It was purely original, where every scene with every line makes you question yourself more and more about the real explanation for what you are watching (especially during the last hour) where layers start interfering and dreams start crashing with realities to leave you suspended in a dark void at the end of the movie without reaching a clear conclusion for what you watched, Nolan did that on purpose I can tell.

At the end, I'd like to point that I'm one of the most people who hates those movies gushing fans who start nagging me about every single movie he/she watched talking about it as "Perfect" or "Super freaking awesome" even if it's a piece of scum, because simply they can't control themselves to be in a neutral state when they watch any movie so that they can give it a satisfying review, But in "Inception", I couldn't find anything to criticize on, is it because my gushing feelings started erupting in my mind and heart during the movie or because simply it was just perfect, whatever the answer was, I can tell that Christopher Nolan eventually succeed in creating something that paralyzes us from criticizing negatively about.

Toy Story 3 (2010)
10/10
Pixar.............Thank you.
24 June 2010
I'm 22 years and I'm proud to say that I'm going to watch Toy Story 3 acting and exciting like a 5 year old boy, and guess what...I don't care.

Toy Story has a huge place in my heart and a unique emotional attachment to it, it was my door to enter the great world of Pixar.

So ending with Toy story 3, where Woody, Buzz and the toys are on a great adventure to discover where their will be after Andy is going to college, Meeting new toys and facing a lot of danger.

And the ending (No Spoiler) is just Perfect, where it creates a movie where you can laugh so hard and cry at the same time. I've also learned some really valuable from Toy Story 3, is that "Life goes on" and you'll know what i mean when you watch it.

Weather it's 1,2 or "specially" 3, Every single scene on any of these 3 movies makes me feel happy, warm, hopeful and peaceful. They really makes you feel that there is still good in this world.

Thank you.....Pixar.

Micmacs (2009)
7/10
A true experience of the new wave.
21 June 2010
From the plot, cinematography, screenplay and sound editing, you can find the techniques that define the french new wave are implemented very much in Micmacs.

Micmacs is a nice and an exotic story of our friend Bazil who wants to ruin up the two companies that ruined up his entire life by the assistance of his weirdest group of friends you'll ever encounter by using strange tricks and ways to succeed in their mission.

For me, I liked the movie as Jean-Pierre Jeunet, one of the leading people of the new wave cinema in this decade, will definitely take you in a very strange and a lovely world of his own, weather you'll experience it in Micmacs or any of his other films like "Amélie" or even "La cité des enfants perdus".

So in short, I recommend you all to watch the movie and enjoy it.

Waaay better than the third Shrek...
20 May 2010
To be honest, I was expecting to watch something that would make me laugh like I did in the first two parts of shrek hoping that dream works learned from their mistake after the epic failure of the third installment, but it still didn't reach their level of awesomeness, but you can say that shrek did it again....Partially.

In general, the movie is cool, it's funny and entertaining, it has its hilarious moments and the story is pretty much satisfying, Way better than the third shrek if that's what you want to hear.

So in the end, I recommend you just go and watch it with your popcorn and drinks and prepare to enjoy it enough but expect that much.

Iron Man 2 (2010)
7/10
Funny, Entertaining, Exciting and so many robots in it.
27 April 2010
And Tony Stark did it again and in a better way to take to the leading point of where we are really wanting to see and be part of it, with the help of Robert Downy Jr. to represent a great character that we all admire...Iron Man.

Comparing between Iron man 1 & Iron man 2, 2 was actually a lot more like having the same aspects that 1 had, Thriller, Entertainment and a great screenplay with astonishing effects to make you live the targeted experience. There wasn't that much new change or difference in 2 that we didn't catch on 1 except for that there were so many ROBOTS.

The conclusion is, Iron man 2 is not one of those movies that will be immortal in your mind, it's not one of those movies that will remain on the talk between people forever, It's just a perfect movie for entertaining that will make you enjoy every second of it, It's a must popcorn movie.

Up (2009)

Pixer is going Up & Up.
26 March 2010
Every time i watch a new pixar movie one of the things that come up to my mind after the end of the movie, " This is the best pixar ever" or " pixar can't do anything better than this, anything else for them would suck" or " they've must run out of new and original ideas, what a shame", but again with "UP" they proved that they are the masters of animation movies.

Up .... a great movie, more than great, a totally new and original idea, a very mix up between drama, adventure and comedy, the colors and graphics were beyond imagination, Soundtrack was amazing, I just enjoyed every single microsecond of it.

Up is one of those movies that make you feel warm, feel happy, feel hope, it makes you remember that there is some good left in this world, makes you feel secure.

Again pixar....thank you.

Rashomon (1950)
10/10
An Immortal Masterpiece that will never die.
26 March 2010
"Rashomon" was my first Akira Kurosawa movie to watch, and what a great time I had watching it, This movie is not the kind of movie that you watch, people start talking about it for a period of time and then it's all forgotten like most of movies today, no ...to me "Rashomon" is one of those immortal movies that will always Float on the ocean of motion pictures.

In this movie Akira succeeded on both the Artistry side and Message behind it, Great techniques to capture the movie by the legendary cinematographer Kazuo Miyagawa, a Splendid acting by a few number of casts, the lighting and angles, great adapted and edited screenplay from Ryunosuke Akutagawa .. everything was masterful.

Talking about the great message behind this movie, when anyone watch "Rahomon" for the first time, the only question comes to the mind is " Who is telling the truth ?" going far away from Akira's true purpose of telling the story....that there is no such a thing as a complete true story, that every man tells his own VERSION of the story to satisfy his/her own needs, that every man has some portion of selfishness inside him and greed digging in heart of the mind, and that there is no such a thing as "An absolute truth" no matter what though we have to consider a scale for the truthfulness being told, it's all about considering that there are different perspectives for almost everything, A great way to end the movie was to point out that even the bad side is part of us there is also the good and shining side, that we can do both good and bad, we are not angels nor demons.... We are just humans.

An Immortal Masterful for an Immortal director that shall never die.

Precious (II) (2009)

What a Precious movie.
26 March 2010
One of the greatest Drama I've witnessed this year, Precious was one of those movies that didn't represent what we can call the "Ideal" situation or the perfect side, everything was just not on her side whether her Mom, her hate to her obesity, her father when he raped her or even her reputation in school, precious was nothing and she was in a dead end in her life, then the tiny shining light came on and gave its hand to precious and told her to that life must go on whether you like it or not and you have to struggle very hard to reach the goal you want, This movie is a true message to everyone who think that they live in a misery life and think that he/she should not be a part of this world, Nothings deserves to be sad about... Just Smile and Go on with life.... A precious life.
