I really enjoyed this anthology. Great direction by Dustin Ferguson and acting especially by Mel Novak in "The Bitter Half" and Dawna Lee Heising in "The Prisoner." I also enjoyed Ferguson's cameo in the latter.

Great plot twists!

A gripping indie horror thriller with an unexpected ending and many twists and turns. This film is a jarring look at mental illness, single motherhood and the countless effects of the recession. Standout performances by Emmy and Golden Globe winner Kathy Baker and Hollywood bad guy Jasper Cole. I highly recommend this film!
An Hour to Kill
(2018)
Great Grindhouse feel!

I am still processing what I just watched...and I mean that in a good way! An Hour To Kill has a lot going on and is a hard movie to classify. It starts off like a film-noir crime film, with two hitmen who "have an hour" before they have to whack someone. To help pass time, they tell each other weird stories. Then the film goes off into an 80's horror anthology vibe, with three over-the-top Creepshow-like vignettes. Expect to see a Nazi serial killer, ass-blasting chili peppers, and half-breed Hog monsters. Mel Novak (Bruce Lee's Game Of Death, Samurai Cop 2: Deadly Vengeance) really shines as the head mob boss Mr. Kinski. The movie is original, moves quickly, and has a fun grindhouse feel. Highly recommend!
