Time spent you will never get back
22 April 2024
Everything about this movie is so friggin bad.

The historical inaccuracies spans past the creative freedom a Tarantino-like style would allow you. At this point it's just pure ignorance and unskilled story telling.

The language - "okey dad"

The army tactics - Swedish army attacking an army camp mid day time by surprise, because what army have scouts.

Perfectly clean clothes for the most time... Because washing machines was a thing 1520.

Girls with long hairs wearing chain mail hoodie, I've worn one for reenactment - it's horrible with short hair.

This time in Swedish - Danish history was interesting, unlike this movie, which is an hour of my life I will never get back.

Quite enjoyable!
10 January 2024
I found this movie to be quite enjoyable and it felet surprisingly short for being such a long movie.

Often foreign movies (even movies from Sweden where I'm from) I find boring and not so good, but I did kind of like this one. Fair enough, I do like space and follow the space industry fairly closely so this helped.

I thoroughly enjoyed the fact we got to see real cosmonoauts, who really delivered in all aspects - kudos to them. A real Soyuz launch from Baikonur, great stuff!

But most importantly, it was great to see the real ISS and some actual zero-G physics in action. Surely enough, the story line went as expected but every movie musn't be Shuttler Island with a twist to be good.

Unrealistic
25 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
What bothers me is the lack of realism, sure it's Sci-Fi but can we at least make an effort to avoid this:

1. Walking/standing/running straight into weapons fire from close range with zero need to dodge

2. Having a huge, impossible to defeat, battleship steered from the gunners position. What?

3. Being able to free all members in a move that must have taken up to a minute with guards standing around twiddling thumbs?

4. Living on a planet with a Jupiter sized planet as close as the moon. Insane tidals/weathers.

The list can go on, and I haven't even touched on the plot yet. Which might I say felt much like Luke and Obi-Wan going to Mos Eisley, the bar scene, the town with the most wretched scums, etc. The overly analytic explanation of her feelings around love just felt "OK let's get some character background punched in" "OK info injected, que feelings for audience".
