The Polar Bear King is a beautifully made movie that is sure to entrance young girls. My sister and I watched over and over as kids, and even as an adult I enjoy watching it. Though it was originally made in Norwegian, it is so perfectly dubbed that I didn't realize it until I looked the movie up on IMDb! The story is based on or very similar to the fairy tale "East of the Sun and West of the Moon" found in Andrew Lang's The Blue Fairy book, and was one of the things that inspired my love of fairy tales!

This is the perfect movie for children and adults. It's very clean and even the "scary" parts are manageable for young children.

This was an excellent movie overall. It was sweet, funny, romantic, light-hearted, and everything was PG. This movie was like a breath of fresh air! The main character, Sophie, was sweet and helpful with a touch of sassiness that really made her endearing. The whole concept was the ultimate plot of a "chick-flick"-the search for a long lost love, and the beginning of new love. The plot was of course predictable, but so are most chick-flicks, yet the movie was still fresh and enjoyable. I certainly recommend this movie to any mothers who need a romantic movie to go see with their daughters, or any girls who want to see a romance with their boyfriends that doesn't get too physical. I would go so far to say that it's the movie's lack of sex and sexual jokes and innuendos made the whole movie better because the focus of the movie was on the story, not on "how far can we take the actionwithout getting in trouble." Overall, Letters to Juliet is an excellent movie that I highly recommend!
