Love, Victor (2020)
Not nearly as good as "Love, Simon"...
At first, I have to say that "Love, Victor" is not a bad show even though it has a horrible plot episode (no) thanks to lead actors' bad performances and script writers' unconvincing dialogues. The show just hasn't quite catch the spirit and naivety of "Love, Simon". It gets better as the episodes progress but main characters are just not lovable! (Sorry to say that, but it's true) So overall, I would love to watch a show (or a movie) with the same characters as "Love, Simon" instead of a whole different show.
As a result, if you like those kind of shows, just watch it. If you are expecting a show like "Love, Simon", then you'll get really disappointed.
P. S.: Season 2 is a lot better. The actors are slowly getting used to their characters, I guess. If the season 2 goes on like this, I may raise my rating from 6 to 7.
House M.D. (2004)
What a wonderful ride!
I have to say that I have been watching random episodes of this show for years. But, after my amazon prime subscription, I restarted from the very first episode and continued. Although it has very good episodes, my absolute favorites are the last two episodes of season 4. Those legendary two episodes are full of drama, suspense and action. What a wonderful ride! Congratulations to the writers, actors and directors!
Hope Springs (2003)
Watch it if you have lots of free time
The movie isn't awful or unwatchable. But it's full of nonsense events and cliche. I laughed one or twice throught the movie. Because of that I gave it 5/10. So, i recommend you to watch it if you have lots of free time.
Death Note (2017)
Come on guys, relax a bit!
I personally neither watched the original anime nor read the manga. But i like the movie very much. It's entertaining, suspenseful and dramatic as well. What would u expect more from such a movie? I'm sure if watched the original anime, i would like it very much too. So, don't be so judgemental, leave your prejudice, chill out and enjoy the ride.
Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008)
One of the most disappointing movies ever...
In fact, i had high expectations before watching this movie. Really i had... I read lot's of good commends about it ( It has 7.4 points over 10 on IMDb! You gotta be kidding me! ). And in addition, Jason Segel's performance in How I Met Your Mother was really good. He seems far more talented in that show compared with this movie. Keeping all of them in mind, i prepared myself for a good and enjoying survey. But unfortunately what i got is bad acting, unnecessary nudity (how come a person could think that watching a crying fat completely nude guy is funny anyway? or Was it necessary to show Mina Kunis's breasts on a picture on the wall of a toilet? ), bad dialogs and waste of 2 hours in my precious life. Sorry to say that but don't even bother watching it...
New York'ta Bes Minare (2010)
Good movie with good performances...
At first i have to admit that i was prejudiced against Mahsun Kirmizigul before watching his movies like most people around me. "He is a singer , right? How come he could direct a movie and write its script at the same time? No way!" said several times. But after watching his movies, i am impressed with his talent. This film was criticized unjustly and it was wrong! Yes, there is some script holes so what? They are not disturbingly apparent... The action scenes were good,in emotional scenes i watched it with tears in my eyes and actor performances were quite good, especially Haluk Bilginer, Suna Selen (mother of Haluk Bilginer in the movie) and Gina Gershon . I really enjoyed watching it very much. What else do you expect by going to a movie anyway? I give 7 over 10 and i was worth it for sure...
Lastly, i really want to see this movie on the theaters outside Turkey. Because the issues in the movie is universal and they were handled quite well: prejudice against Islam, terrorism and the violence that changes lives.
