Great Scandinavian series
I found the series very entertaining. These type of series are becoming more and more popular in Scandinavia - the combination of humor and drama, the complex characters, the realistic yet unrealistic struggles - and I love it.
The music score is good, the characters are complex, and the manuscript is original. I loved it, and really hope there will be an another season.
As for the actors - they did an outstanding job. I mean, all of them! First of all, William Spetz portrays this grieving, dorky, exploring character in such a good way. His girlfriend, Linn, made me laugh loudly multiple times (I loved her character), and Erik, Heidi, Tore's colleagues, Viggo, shady & Lo, and even Linn's son were great. And by great, I mean this is how Scandinacians appear, speak and act realistically (myself included). Will probably watch the whole series again sometime.
The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes (2023)
Sour prequel
Incredibly disappointing, and here's why:
- Too much content and story forced into the movie, making it rushed and, at times, messy.
- Hardly any likable characters; didn't get to know any of them particularly well and certainly didn't sympathize with them.
- Too much singing.
- Some props, costumes, and elements threw me off, making me forget this was part of the Hunger Games universe. It felt more like a drama romance from the present time, especially in the second half of the movie. Some characters seemed oddly 2023-like, despite being set hundreds of years into the future. Rachel Zegler, in particular, just "looks" Gen Z.
- Viola Davis - the queen - in a cheap costume and with an even cheaper manuscript.
The other Hunger Games movies were emotional rollercoasters, whereas this movie left me bored and little invested. I was really not looking forward to feeling "nothing".
Avatar: The Way of Water (2022)
Outstanding CGI, disappointing plot
The CGI and 3D experience is utterly amazing! So was the sound editing. This made some of the scenes extraordinary.
However, there were some downsides too:
Firstly, I found the story somewhat repetitive. At some points it was a bit slow-paced and I wanted the story to progress.
Secondly, the 1st movie is very original in terms of the script and characters. I found the 2nd movie less so.
Thirdly, the movie is more than three hours long, yet not long enough the get me invested in the characters. It took some time to sort out the characters and what their purpose was, and I lost my investment in the characters from the 1st movie. Sadly, I experienced less sentiment in this movie.
In other words, this was more an experience than a movie to me.

Thank you
Pixar has done it again, they brought me through the entire emotion spectrum. I FELT this one, through laughter and tears. And what amazing scenography and soundtrack!!
In fact, I watched it with my entire (grown up) family, and we all loves it.
Some people view this as Pixar's first real representation of LGBTQI+ and I agree. Just put in perspective that the ocean is the "closet" and the island is loneliness.
Praying for a sequel!! Perhaps the characters will not only "explore" their friendship, but also love.
