Buba (2022)
Mediocre and too much violence
Compared to "How to sell drugs online fast" this prequel unfortunately doesn't really deliver. It misses a real story and why all this violence? Dark comedy okay but it's not adding anything and is offturning. Tatortreiniger was so much better.
Bad Banks (2018)
Series about sad money chasers
Series about the dark side of bankers. Chasing money, fame and career. People who haven't found meaning in life. If you want to see how not to become then this is for your. Otherwise read a book of the Dalai Lama or Eckhart Tolle's Power of NOW.
Thrive: What on Earth Will It Take? (2011)
Interesting but incoherent - Beware unfounded conspiracy theories - FLAWED
I enjoyed watching the movie which is rich on ideas and one can assume to be done with good intentions. I fully subscribe to the message of awakening and the documentary touches upon many important topics on global problems.
However, the movie lacks coherence and throws together unrelated issues from Fed conspiracy to Deepak Chopra's spiritual teachings. Moreover, one needs to seriously double-check the claims on some conspiracy theories. Some are obviously unfounded and fabricated, therefore seriously taking away credibility.
It's too easy to invent some scapegoats like 'these families', the government, the banks, the bad corporations, the rich etc. All these organizations are made of us people and its within our power to take self-responsibility and shape our lives, societies etc. in a better way.
UPDATE: FLAWED The movie is even so deeply flawed that 10 people - including Deepak Chopra - who appeared in the movie have dissociated themselves with the movie! See www.thrivemovement.com/thrive-movie-pioneer-letter-of- dissociation
Infinity: The Ultimate Trip - Journey Beyond Death (2009)
Excellent documentary on spiritual and near death experiences
Many thanks for this very good documentary, amongst the best on the topic of near death or out of body experiences, spirituality and trans-personal psychology I have seen.
It's a slow but profound work for special interest groups, certainly not for mainstream Hollywood viewers.
It features well known interviewees in a neutral space, without preaching or tensions.
If you are interested in expanding your consciousness, reflecting on death or the purpose of life, then this movie is for you.
Grateful for this movie.
Avatar (2009)
Movie with meaning. Wake-up call to our current vicious way of exploiting Nature.
MUST SEE. The only movie I watch more than once in cinema.
This movie has a soul, meaning, a message.
It makes accessible how disconnected most of our thinking and economy are from our true nature. It illustrates the mis-understanding of the West and indigenous cultures, and how nature is exploited.
When will we wake up to see how we exploit Mother Nature? When will re-connect with nature and the Spirit World?
The animations are done superb, the flying scenes are breathtaking, nature is shown in its magic, you can actually identify with the characters and dive deeply into the story and journey.
Enjoy the movie, best in 3D.
The Dark Knight (2008)
Not bad but overrated. Too much violence, too lengthy.
This is a good movie if you like that genre, probably around 6 stars. However, overrated in my view, therefore I deliberately only give it two stars.
How can 'sane' people enjoy a freaky psycho cutting people? How can one enjoy watching someone with half a face? I guess one needs to be quite disconnected from real life.
With less violence and under 2 hours, it would be more my piece of cake. Can more 'normal' people, rather fans only, please vote? Can't be that Dark Knight is rated higher than Avatar, one of the greatest movies ever which has actually real meaning.
