Zvyozdniy razum (2022)
Thoroughly captivating, for almost 13 minutes.
I sat down to watch this and quickly realized this is going to be epic, the story line was rich and full of detail, I was almost there with the whole world feeling helpless and remorseful I hadn't done more, the camera work was imaginative, it captured everything, and the acting and editing was like something I would see in one of my all time favorite genres.
They warped and I quickly forgave them for engaging with Engage because the CGI saw stunning and that was that. The warp drive must have neglected to bring anything with it, the script writer was gone, the editor was gone, lighting was gone, the acting was certainly gone and the camera man must have learned his trade on TikTok.
What the heck happened here?!! I've never seen anything quite like it, to go from one extreme to the other like this has been traumatic. I had already started sharing this masterpiece with my friends and now I need to write a review to explain that. I really feel like my investment in this movie, albeit one of only a couple of clicks and some endorphins, has been stolen from me with deception. Did someone die? Was it the production company and the producer, editor and casting director? Did someone else do the first 10 minutes? I really need to know.
The Dawnseeker (2018)
An apauling mess of a movie.
It was as if a bunch of home-schooled special effects dropouts decided to make a movie but couldn't afford: actors, script writers, costumes, an editor, a director, a producer or even a decent computer - and decided to fill those roles themselves.
Seriously the most enjoyable part was the credits, in which I'm shocked anyone wanted their name attributed.
With over 500 - 10 star reviews it's abundantly clear that the makers of this movie have cheated the rating process and those rating should simply be removed so other's don't ruin their evenings with this utter tripe.
