Finding Nemo (2003)
Adorable!
26 June 2003
This is a very cute film, not just for children but adults as well. With charming catch-phrases, hilarious plots, and strange adventures, this is definately a two-fins up kind of movie (no pun intended). I reccommend this for anyone, regardedless of age or lack of maturity:)

STUPID
26 June 2003
I don't mean to sound rude, but who came up with this riduculous crap? Camp is NOT anything like that. This wasn't scary, either. It was so stupid, it was almost (notice the almost) funny. If you're looking for a good scare, see just about anything else. THIS MOVIE SUCKS.

Holes (2003)
Unfortunate after the book
20 June 2003
The book was awesome. The movie was okay. It didn't really do much for me. It wasn't as realistic and complete as the book, but I guess as a Disney movie it did what it could. If Warner Bros. or Paramount took control of it, they could make the movie live up to the book. It might have endangered the PG rating, but at least it would be more like the book.

Awesome!
20 June 2003
I decided to rent the movie one day after reading the book which was pretty good but a little boring. Within the first 10 minutes of the movie, I was hooked. My eyes would never be able to be pryed off the screen. After a short while, I found myself in love with Legolas Greenleaf, wonderfully portrayed by Orlando Bloom. Every line he spoke was with such depth and sincerity, and his eyes...don't even get me started on those expressive eyes, showing every different kind of mood set by the Legolas character. Frodo, Pippin, Sam, Gollum, Gandalf, Merry, Boromir, Arwen, Aragorn, Eowen...the whole fellowship, made awesome contributions. If you haven't yet seen this movie but seem curious, check it out!!! It's one of those movies that should not be left behind.

Crossroads (I) (2002)
Quite pathetic
15 June 2003
It's no surprise that Britney can't sing. Turns out, she can't act either. Taryn Manning seemed to talk in a one-tone voice the whole time, and didn't seem like she really wanted to do the movie. This movie was pretty pathetic, and confusing too. Dan Akyroyd has disappeared from the public eye for a few years, and he comes back in just another teen movie? Why? All in all, I think this movie would be a great one for self-imposed preppy Britney wanna-be's. Otherwise, skip it. Now.

mindless fun
29 May 2003
this movie was unique and while it scared the hell out of some people, i rather enjoyed it. It was one of those, once you see the prolouge, you gotta see the rest of the movie. It's just...mindless fun. For lighthearted people who deserve a little scare once in a while, I'd reccommend this movie. Fun. Mindless fun.

A feel-good movie
11 May 2003
Warning: Spoilers
This was a better movie than I expected. I'm not a huge fan of the show, but the movie is nothing like it, in a good way. There were a few spoilers: #1 Nobody seemed to notice that Isabella (Lizzie) had an American accent. #2 Never in the TV show did it mention, and never did Kate ever tell Lizzie, that she didn't eat carbs, and #3, you'd think after the episode "Clue-less" when Kate gave Lizzie the whole 411 on Gordo having a crush on her, you'd think she wouldn't be so shocked at his behavior. And #4, when she and Gordo are looking over the balcony, at the first headview, she has her hair in a long ponytail. When you see her head for the second time, however, her hair's in a bun. This was a pretty good movie. Everyone should see it sometime. WHY NOT??

Get a Clue (2002 TV Movie)
Not Lindsay's Best
4 May 2003
Lindsay turned all pretty and everything, but she used no expression in her voice. After seeing her spectacular performances in The Parent Trap, Life Size, and Bette, I assumed that this would be a good addition to her talent. Unfortunately, it wasn't. Hopefully Freaky Friday will make up for this loss.

Shrek (2001)
The Dreamiest Dreamworks film yet
3 May 2003
Dreamworks is NOT one of my favorite movie companies. So when I went to see Shrek, I was happily shocked. Since I'm 18, I like to make fun of fairytales, and this is the perfect medicine for me. "He huffed und he puffed und he--signed an eviction notice." Hilarious, extravagant, 98%.

Dad, isn't it illegal to drive with a bear on the hood of your car?
3 May 2003
I don't understand why people don't understand this movie. John Candy's a laid-back middle-classer. Dan Akyroyd's a suave, rich debonar. Somehow these two manage to click together fine. They should have done more movies together, not to mention this tale has cool catch phrases: "Dad, isn't it illegal to drive with a bear on the hood of your car?"

Galaxy Quest (1999)
Galaxy Glory
27 April 2003
There hasn't been a movie invented quite like this one. A very clever perspective of the differences and similarities between the characters. Tim Allen, Sigorny Weaver, Alan Rickman, Tony Shaloub, you name the actors, they stole the show. Outstanding, especially when I usually hate sci-fi movies. But this is one of those "you can't beat" films. EXCELLENT.

Is it over yet...
27 April 2003
When I read the Westing Game, I thought the movie was going to be good. Unfortunately, it bit the big one. I'm not one to mince words, so I'll admit that that was one of the worst movies on the planet. Extremely boring, not one interesting part in the whole shmere. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ................

Did they ever READ the book?
27 April 2003
A third Little Princess is something I looked forward to. Unfortunately, it turned into a whole different plot line altogether. New York? I think the better title would be "Heiress in NYC" because it would be a good movie for just about anything else, but for ALP, it doesn't work.

Steve and John at their best
27 April 2003
I generally saw this movie because it fetured two of my all time favorite actors, John Candy and Steve Martin. I loved the contrast of the characters but how they eventually bond. This is a hilarious film I would reccommend for anyone, although I didn't think it should have been rated R because it wasn't that raunchy.

And the beat goes on...
27 April 2003
This musically-inspired film is probably one of the funniest and cleverest shows I have ever seen. When I was in high school, I probably would never have gotten away with it, but then again, very few people are as clever as Ferris Bueller. Matthew Broderich in his prime, young years where he was attractive and charming, stole the hearts of young girls who saw this film. And the whole Wayne Newton Dancle Shane thing was HILARIOUS.

Lovable
27 April 2003
This movie teaches a valuable lesson: The Golden Rule. This movie followed both tragetic and comedic outlines. I was just recently introduced to Eddy Murphy and Dan Akyroyd, therefore this was one of those "I don't really know what's coming" movies. But I was happily suprised. I was laughing so hard I was nearly crying, and visa-versa. Eddie and Dan should do more movies together in the future, because they make the perfect pair. Great Work.
