I'm in the Band (2009)
Unfunny, Unoriginal...Just Shoot Me Now.
From viewing the pilot episode, all I can say is: What? Unrealistic.
Honestly, even though this is a Disney show, it's still unrealistic. A teen (an ugly one, at that) wants to play and perform in his favorite rock band, Iron Weasel. (Seriously? Iron Weasel?) Tripp wins a radio contest and gets to have dinner with the members of Iron Weasel. (My guess is that Tripp was the only one that actually entered, seeing that Iron Weasel SUCKS.) Then, the members of Iron Weasel are looking for a place to live, (because the idiot hobos live in their VAN) and when Tripp offers up his house, they grab it at the spot. (Greedy little hobos...XD) Oh, but guess what? In order for us viewers to give Tripp a little sympathy, his mom is divorced. And his friend, Izzy, is a girl that likes to eat half-eaten churros out of the garbage. (Can you say disgusting?) Unoriginal.
Basically, "I'm in the Band" is just a version of Hannah Montanna with a boy as the main character and a 'metal' (I seriously feel the need to break something) sound instead of teenybopper mediocre music. Except, NOBDOY likes Iron Weasel at Tripp's school, until they magically become great and everyone shouts 'encore'.
Unfunny.
Fart jokes. Idiotic adult supervision. Anit-climatic plots and ugly characters. In short, this is the worst Disney show.
And I'm not saying that kindly.
Naruto (2002)
Yawn
I will admit, I am a manga/anime fan. A HUGE one.
But Naruto didn't interest me at all.
First of all, Masashi draws out all of the female characters badly. Most scenes, Sakura looks as if she's a guy, due to the fact that her 'big forehead' is too long. Another thing that I can't stand are all the idiotic fight scenes. These scenes will go on for EPISODES AFTER EPISODES. And I know that manga/anime is idealized, but this is just TOO unrealistic. Naruto gets beaten up so many times, and he is still perfectly healthy after the next few days or so. All because of the stupid nine tailed fox.
And the 'SasuSaku' scenes are just so bad, they make me want to puke. Especially in episode 109 or so, when Sasuke leaves. That scene is just SO bad, and it makes Sakura seem like a whiny girl. Well, in fact, all scenes make Sakura look like a whiny girl.
Bottom line: This show is crap. Don't watch it, if you have a decent liking for manga/anime.
iCarly: iGet Pranky (2010)
Not As Good
Basically, Sam and Freddie ask Carly if she's ever played a prank. Carly says no, and then later, she asks Spencer to help her prank them. Spencer then becomes addicted to pranking, and Carly, Sam, and Freddie come up with a few plans to get him to stop, and in the end he is beaten by the victims of his old prank. That's it. Most of the pranks were overdone and unoriginal. For example, Carly is fixing up her hair in front of her mirror when a 'scary' picture of a zombie comes on the monitor. (How many times have we seen this on 'America's Funniest Home Videos?) Another time, Spencer asks Tibo to look at his smoothie, and when Tibo opens it, the smoothie's liquid squirts in his face. Not. Original. Although, I gave this rating a four out of ten, because Sam and Freddie (My favorite iCarly 'pair') are seen together alone or with Gibby. Also, I found it funny when Sam said, "If I didn't have a little crush on you, I would pound your face in." to Spencer when he put a large, see-through plastic box in front of the elevator when Sam and Freddie got off. She then acted embarrassed about it later.
