Mile 22 (2018)
7/10
A nice action thriller but..
2 December 2018
Mile 22 is a high adrenaline action thriller that will keep on the edge of your seat till the end. For me, the end itself was pretty unusual for a typical US intelligence 'I am everywhere' type movie which was pretty good for a change. The music, action, fights were all well adapted and delivered. The only hiccup in the greatness of this movie was the annoying and unnecessary character of Mark Wahlberg. The movie starts by spending a good 2 minutes to develop an image of 'Jimmy Silva', which makes you think that the guy's a god or something. With high expectations from the character in the start, the movie unfolds to be disappointing when you find out that his only strength is to bully people with no respect for their rank or profession.

Honestly, I enjoyed the movie because 20 minutes in, I had decided to ignore the character of Jimmy Silva and chose to be amused by the action bit which turned out to be rewarding. So I would say give it a go with no high expectations, you will enjoy it.

Snowpiercer (2013)

Fell asleep two times while watching this!
27 March 2014
I watched this movie in three days, reason: I started watching this movie at night, could not stand it and fell asleep, started 2nd night where I left and to my wonder I fell asleep again and tonight I have completed it at last that too in great disappointment.

This movie is one big collection of bad plot, over acting, no conclusion and even no good message, I mean what message would you want to deliver by destroying a train that is preserving the last of mankind there is. Besides all the characters in the movie were doing such overacting as they were doing their debuts in film industry. Captain America! Believe me Sir, You are better than this.

Movie ending is pretty bad just to add more to its other shortcomings.

This movie is NOT recommended folks. Better take a snow cube out of your refrigerator and pierce it with a knife. Believe me that would be a better SnowPiercing to watch than this 'Snowpiercer'.

Dhoom 3 (2013)

I'm a Victim!
24 December 2013
Yes! Indeed I am a victim of Dhoom-3.

Before today I was like, 'Give me Aamir Khan in a movie , and I am on board, I wouldn't miss the PREMIERE'

But today it all went away like the smoke of a cigarette. His acting is no doubt matchless in this one too, but the movie was way terrible. I wonder why Aamir Khan ever even signed for this? So unreal scenes, ultra slow motion stunts and pathetic acting by 'Abhishek and co.' sucked all the charm. For God's sake, this is a high budget action thriller, not some Dabangg like Desi stuff, where you kick a wall and 'boom' it blows away, I mean come on man! get something real in there, or at least make it look real, stealing stunts from 'The Dark Knight' ain't no good manner, Grow up a little! Move on! The storyline is so predictable even for an extremely low IQ person.

In short, this seems more like an amateur's work. High Expectations, thrashed in the face. This movie lacked so much that even Aamir Khan's presence couldn't do no good at all.

Save money and save time folks or be a victim like me! Your choice.

Roles and actors not properly balanced, A good effort though..
29 August 2013
Well, 'The Great Gatsby' by F. Scott Fitzgerald is one story that has been given too many trials on the screen. Chronologically in 1926, 1949, 1974(won 2 Oscars & screenplay by Francis Ford Coppola) and now in 2013 by different directors. What I mean to say is, Baz Luhrmann(Director) had a lot to learn from screenplay, cast and direction of the movies previously made on this very novel. But what I saw, the choice for the actors for the roles was way weak except for Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan.

Tobey Maguire is not a narrator kind of an actor, so his role's requirement was not amply coped. It seemed like a real character is missing from the screen.

However getting to the positive aspects, music of the movie had its modern touch. The way it made its place in a story plot of 1922, it is really a thing to praise. The compatibility of music with dialogs and screenplay was very accurate and carefully tailored.

The Great DiCaprio (Gatsby)'s character was very strong, beautifully handled and fulfilled.

Finally, the movie is a worthy effort as all of its versions before. Lets see how many Oscars nominations does it call for.

My Rating : 7/10

Boring Movie except for Ending
19 April 2013
Warning: Spoilers
Well I kinda would like to say that the storyline of the movie is hollow, it could be far better.

Seth Rogen was a very bad choice for the lead role, his role as a failed organic product selling chemist was indeed different but 'different' doesn't always help. Moreover, Seth Rogen is more of a supporting artist, its better that way, for example he did well in 50/50. However, Barbra Streisand as supporting actress performed a good job acting well all the way.

Other small yet important features like dialogs and music of the movie are not mind catching either. Dialogs could be able to help a lot to make this movie extremely funny, but I think that aspect was ignored.

The ending of the movie however is better than other movies of its kind, the moment Joyce (Barbra Streisand) finds out that the name of Andrew Margoulis' daughter is also Joyce. Its kind of heart touching and hence the movie makes a good ending.

Overall (5/10).

Brilliant Acting, Thrilling story line, A must watch!
14 April 2013
Fashion movie fans! You just can't miss this masterpiece.

'The Devil wears Prada' is kind of a movie which takes you in a deeper and deeper bonding state, you wish like this movie would never have ended.

About the cast, Meryl Streep 'The Evil Queen' delivered a splendid piece of acting, only I wonder how come she did not come up with an Oscar in her hand for this very title. I mean come on she was brilliantly good in this movie.

The role played by Anne Hathaway , Stanley Tucci and Emily Blunt is amply suited and played.

The dialogs of this movie are one of the best ones out there, no doubt about it.

The story line is quite interesting one, giving a closer look on fashion icon's life and inter organizational jealousy and politics, its kind of charming watching all this fun.

I would say I'd love watching more movies like 'The Devil Wears Prada', 'What Women Want' and 'Fashion'.
