Banat el yom (1957)
One of Best Halim Classic Movies
Two thumps WAY UP for this one !!,, As Abdel Halim does it again in being both a wonderful actor plus a great singer . this movie is a true classic, it was made in 1957 (6th one for Halim) ,but it will astonish you for it is NEVER outdated and it's story is so fresh and beautifully told in a simple and genuine style, no wonder why Barakat is considered one of the great directors Egyptian cinema ever witnessed. Beside, you have here lovely songs, exciting set designs, brilliant cinematography,, I thank people who made the DVD release of this classic possible (in UK,region 2),and appreciate the art work done on the DVD cover,Menu, and the bonus materials. PLEEEASE consider releasing DVDs for the rest of Halim films !
Ayyam wa layali (1955)
FIVE STARS !!! don't miss this one
The Fourth movie Abdel Halim made is a truly masterpiece !,,
it was made in 1955 as a result of a powerful collaboration of Singer/Producer Mohammad Abdel Wahab and Director Barakat. The story is about Abdel Halim falls in love with the beautiful Iman but problems arise when he takes the blame for an accident he did not commit.
This movie is released as a DVD in UK, and it is a must buy for anyone who is into Abdel Halim or interested in collecting Landmarks of Egyptian Cinema Classics,,All of the songs here are from the Best Halim songs ,,and who can resist the classic scene where Halim holding a Guitar in a boat in the Nile under the balcony of his sweetheart mansion singing the timeless ballad "Ana Lak Ala tool" ! The movie is A timeless musical classic,,and the DVD is very well done with a crisp picture and clear sound,,Me and my wife highly enjoyed it and would love to watch it again & again ..
