The Dark Knight Rises (2012)
It rises to every single expectation and beyond.
THE DARK KNIGHT has RISEN and risen very high. There is so much Mr. Genius Nolan has offered us in his 165 min. grand finale of BATMAN saga that it needs at least second viewing to completely absorb the excellence in film making that Nolan and team has put into it. It is no sense and need in comparing The Dark Knight and this movie(though i also did that) because this movie is completely different in its scale and most importantly in its story telling capacity. In fact TDKRises is more in relation to Batman Begins and that's why I liked it much, because it completes the whole circle of Bruce Wayne's journey with a very very satisfying and peaceful ending, not to forget 'YES' everyone missed JOKER here but Tom Hardy's Bane is a very different character, and he played it well with all dominance and strength that was needed and expected from Bane even having that mask cover up half his face. Still Joker becomes d most powerful villain of all. But TDKRises is not there to show how much a villain can be powerful, it also doesn't try to show how much Batman is powerful kicking bad people asses, what it shows and that is my reason why i loved this movie so much is that, this movie is more about Bruce Wayne and his inner emotional RISE from darkness to glory to save his beloved city. Nolan touches so many practical and strong subjects of d real world in this superhero flick that viewer get in a way rooted to its story. Nolan's vision, technical department's incredible work and last but not least performances of every single actor in it makes it very real, not to forget Christian Bale gives total justice to his injustice fighting complex superhero character making it very HUMAN. The question which is the most powerful movie of all three can be answered by saying that as a whole this trilogy journey of Batman Begins, Falls and Rises as a whole is the most powerful superhero movie ever made and will be enjoyed and respected by coming generations. Can't wait for the DVD to come out, this one surely goes into my top collection.
Ra.One (2011)
Good attempt but lacks originalty
Its really a good movie and really a nice attempt guys n gals, anyone should watch it once and of course on n big screen. If they plan to make a sequel to this movie I want to say please next time have some original story, because I think SRK n Anubhav Sinha have won the level 1 by improving the FINANCIAL and EXECUTIVE part of movie making in Bollywood on a very large scale, for me Ra One is the 1st well made superhero movie in India, krissh was never a superhero and my genuine congrats to SRK to have the guts to make such grand attempt. One thing people should appreciate is that because of Sharukh and only Sharukh this attempt was possible and on such a huge marketing and executive scale, but please next time take it very seriously and have a powerful ORIGINAL story which will take this movie to level 2. Best of hard work.
Yamla Pagla Deewana (2011)
The Deol's are back and surely with a bang and lot of love.
Loved it, loved it, loved it. This is called an entertainer or in Indian language 'A Paisa Vasool' movie. I call this movie a celebration of the Deol trinity stardom.
As per story there's nothing new but that's what most of Bollywood movies are meant to be. They are like fashion which is to be repeated after every three decades but presented in a fresh new way. This process is as difficult as it is easy and this is where YMD stands out. It is a superb comedy blending the old fashion Bollywood separation formula with family love, situational comedy and lot of Deol muscle power.
Acting vise all have done a superb job. Dharmendra to be mentioned even at the age of 75, showed that he still holds his charisma and comic timing(reminding the old days of Chupke Chupke), Sunny Deol shines throughout the movie with his acting and never looked so handsome in his carrier while Bobby played very well with his mischievous romeo character. Other supporting cast was great and also the newcomer Kulraj Randhawa was an eye candy with her sweet role.
Regarding the screenplay, the first half is not that much powerful and which is the only drawback of the movie. I wanna tel everyone that don't judge this movie on its first half because once the movie steps on the beautiful land of Punjab, the screenplay doesn't stop itself improving higher and higher and also taking our cheeks higher and higher. It becomes such a entertaining laughing roller-coaster ride with no unnecessary cheap jokes and u can feel pain in your jaw at the end . Watch for the Sunny Deol's screaming scene in the fight. This is kind of movie which laughs at itself and makes us laughs too. You will surely get a 'HAPPY' felling at the end.
GO FOR IT! and congrats to Deols.
