The Iron Claw (2023)
Lmao
27 May 2024
Movie is solid masculine, love the bond between the brothers and being manly, unlike these soy movies these days.

Honestly, kinda boring, I had to watch the movie in 5 days, cuz I couldn't sit through the whole thing at once.

Loved the hairstyles and dressings, really lightened up the 80s.

It's funny, Back in the days, groupies like Pam could go up to a professional athlete and get married with them few months later. Nowadays, girls think if they date the whole basketball team or wrestling team, maybe one of the guys is going to marry them, but then they end up with a baby and don't know who the father is. LMAO.

It's more like a fantasy. Showing a poor girl who is working hard and barely gets into a prestigious university, and a rich white guy with an abusive white father who is privileged to get into any school he wants.

It portrays the rich as evil, and the poor as pleasant and kind, when in reality it's completely the opposite. I've never met a poor person who isn't bitter and jealous of the rich.

The main character is super unstable and tracks the guy mentally and verbally every chance she gets, and I still don't understand why this guy falls in love with this crazy girl.

No mad with a right mind would leave his family Fortunes and opportunity to be rich, for an unstable girl who constantly wants to control and sabotage men.

Exact representation of today's society
8 April 2024
First of all, let's talk about the movie. I'm glad it was based off of a book, not some random Hollywood writer.

But what really amazes me is that back 1850s, it was shameful for women to sell themselves or have had multiple partners and no man in his right mind would ever wanted to marry her.

NOW, almost 80% of the women in he society have been with multiple men and are tangled up emotionally, while most men in the society are romantic fools with no experience falling for these women.

Men are working 10 times harder, to get a girl who is 100 times worse than her grandmother. Unfortunately, it will get worse to a point where ALL women will start charging men FOR THE DEEDS.

I pray for the next generation.

What??
21 February 2024
Warning: Spoilers
In the words of Michael Scott: NOOOOO GOD, NO GOOOOOD PLEASE NO, NOO, NOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

I'm so tired of watching these shows where cheating is so normalized.

Episode 11, when they showed Sylvie in the hotel room with Callum (Dex's friend and boss) cheating on Dex, I literally felt sick in my stomach and my head got foggy.

This is unacceptable, these shows are encouraging people to cheat on their spouses instead of looking for a solution. This isn't the first, it's almost all rom coms on Netflix.

Why can't we encourage people to stay faithful to each other and work through it, instead of belittling the man who's doing his best?

What is going on with these rom-coms lately

Warning: Spoilers
So, the black dude watched the love of his life hooking up with random men left to right, helped her through it for more than a decade, and then went into a relationship with her? Hahahahhaaa

So these movies are just about humiliating men nowadays huh?

No wonder people are getting confused in their relationships, it's cuz they watch these movies and think men are like this, when in reality men are the polar opposite of this.

If a situation like this happens, it's probably a girl knows for A FACT that he's in love, and she's just dragging him along so she won't feel lonely when she reaches 30 and still haven't found a husband, so she could have a back up.

Horrible acting, and over exaggerating the sex life of adults, and predictable.

LMAO WHAT DID I JUST WATCH
14 February 2024
Warning: Spoilers
This movie is as unrealistic as it gets in every possible way.

No wonder people watch these movies and expect so much from their partners and spouses.

Imagine inviting your ex fiancé at your sisters engagement party while you're hooking up with a new guy, and all your ex fiancé says "it's cool you're with him" and smile throughout the vacation hahahaha

I mean who wants to be with a girl who just left her fiancé for being too good? She might leave this new guy any minute, people think this behaviour is romantic? Haha

Normalizing women having multiple men running around for them, using men and not caring for their emotions and not respecting them.

The worst part, JUST READ THE T SHIRT OF THE BLACK BRIDE TOWARDS THE END, and you'll know what this movie is all about.

She's the problem
3 February 2024
Warning: Spoilers
So the wife started an argument over some misunderstanding and pushed her husband away, gets jealous for no reason, so she could go and have fun with her massage therapist? And then flirted with another man at the art gallery while her husband stands a few feet away? And then slept with the massage therapist while breaking up with her husband? So she literally pushed the husband away to Sophia, and then got mad at him.

Then she friend-zoned the massage therapist and started dating the successful guy who she flirted at the art gallery. Then opened her own art gallery and invited all of her exes? Lmao

It doesn't make sense, if she was so jealous over something simple that her husband did, why does she think is ok to do all of the above to these men?

Sounds like she is just a terrible person, and no wonder her husband was finding peace in Sophia. He even controlled himself until his wife pushed him away. Sound like a good man.

Ted (2024)
Not the typical Ted.

Not what I was expecting after watching the first 2 movies.

The jokes in the movies were hilarious and original, but this show isn't very original in my opinion.

Also, where was John's cousin in the movies? Least favourite character in the movie. She wasn't acting at all, almost felt like she was just being herself. Kinda wish they kept mark walberg and made this show with him. Having completely new characters is never a good idea.

I liked the directing, and sound. Very good.

My favourite character was the mother. She played her role perfectly and her expressions were appropriate for all the scenes.

What is up with these tv shows/movies lately
14 December 2023
3/10 just for the scenery, the vibe and the directing.

This is the 3rd TV show I watched in a row where it's glorifying cheating on husbands/boyfriends and breaking off marriages or relationships.

Obviously it's just a show, and obviously there are plenty of movies out there where men cheat on wives/girlfriends, and in those movies/shows, men are portrayed as evil or horrible, and at the end of the movie, he ends up in a bad shape. HOWEVER, in these last 3 shows I watched (all filmed in 2023), women cheated on their husbands/boyfriends and were portrayed as romantic, beautiful or "finding herself", and not even show a little empathy towards the husband/boyfriend.

What happened to the morals? Are we just normalizing women cheating and not taking accountability? I'm surprised that no one is outraged by this.

4/10, don't like the message it's sending to the people.
13 December 2023
Ok hear me out, I'm totally with women and how they should choose to what to do with their lives and what to do with their bodies and whatnot, BUT these movies are sending the wrong messages to the women nowadays.

This isn't the first tv show/movie that is glorifying women cheating and finding a better guy to find "happiness" and not even caring about their spouse/boyfriend or even her family or kids.

On the other hand, I haven't seen a single movie that glorifies a man cheating on his spouse/girlfriend. It's because they always trying to demonize men who cheat. SO BUT WHY IS IT PORTRAYED ROMANTIC AND BEAUTIFUL FOR A WOMAN TO CHEAT ON HER SPOUSE/BOYFRIEND AND NOT AN EVIL ACT?

Not good for men
26 November 2023
Terrible. Worst. Couldn't get past the first episode. This show is designed to portray boys as dumb and immature, and the girl outsmarts them and makes them look bad.

This is a great show to give false confidence to women, but other than that, it's disrespectful to any man out there.

The actors are not doing their jobs properly. The story has nothing to do with 1970s Colombia.

I don't know what is up with these shows and movies lately. They all have a girl who is smarter than everyone and likes to be promiscuous and boys fall over the heels for her. Not a single manly movie on Netflix anymore.

I had a panic attack by the end of episode 4.
23 November 2023
This is really scary to watch. Honestly, I thought it was going to be just another show with propaganda or whatever, but by the end of episode 4, I started to have panic attacks. It's horribly scary to watch, because this is exactly how some young girls end up in the wrong places in life by the time they're in their mid 20s. I somewhat could relate to the main character and it was chilling. Very well executed and properly directed, the actors and the actresses did their jobs perfectly. Just kinda wish there was an English audio for the Netflix because I couldn't keep up with the subtitles. I'm just surprised how this show is for 13+ audiences because there're horrific scenes and lots of nudity.

Trying to push the LGBTQ and FEMINISM and other irrelevant stuff
21 January 2023
Honestly, can we just get a movie/show that doesn't want to push some LGBTQ or "woman's right" propaganda down our throat?

Episode 4 is all about "why men get to have premarital relations and it's not shameful, but when a woman does it, it's shameful" or "i want to be a strong woman and don't want to just sit at home and squeeze out babies". It's funny because women have literally more rights in most western societies like America and Canada, and yet these shows are pushing "equality" bs down young men's throats and making men feel like they're doing something wrong.

Dont even get me started with the episode 5. Why does there have to be a gay character in every movie? I respect gay people and lgbtq community, but please STOP this madness. Some may say "oh because we want to make them feel included in our society" . Well, there are waaayyyyyyyy more Asians, latinos, middle easterns people than gays in our society that never get to feel "included" when watching these movies or shows.

STOP BRAINWASHING PEOPLE.

Holy Spider (2022)
Absolutely brilliant!
9 December 2022
The movie beautifully portrays the injustice that women face in Iran, and how corrupt the justice and jurisdiction system is. I used to live in Iran as a child and I remember the how terribly people were being treated in the name of "Allah and Islam". To me, this movie was extremely thrilling because it resurfaced some of my childhood traumas, and that tells me how relatable and well made this movie is. The actors and actresses were absolutely amazing. Making a movie outside of Iran about inside of Iran is not easy. I can't imagine how difficult it was for the actors and actresses get mentally prepared for their roles and get in character, since they all have been living outside of Iran for a long time. Most interesting movie of the year!

Mammals (2022)
Great, with few flaws.
5 December 2022
Nice story honestly. It's like a roller coaster and makes you jump up and down throughout the show.

However, this show has 6 episodes, and 20 minutes each. So that's total of 2 hours. This is a bit ridiculous for a show having a total of 2 hours run time. It could've just been a movie instead.

Also, in the beginning, Jaimie could've just looked at the number who texted the wives phone and find out who it was. Or he could've saved the number in his own phone and call it himself to find out. Honestly, this bit was annoying to me. I felt like watching one of those scary movies where the dumb characters make dumb moves and you just want to scream like"don't do that, don't go there, or do this instead"

Overall, it was nice to watch. Not gonna lie, I'm actually kinda jealous of that rich billionaire dude 😑
