Magical Mystery Tour (1967 TV Movie)
5/10
Pretty terrible but he music makes up for it
22 August 2008
I love the Beatles just as much as the next fanatic, in fact I'm damn near obsessed with them. And after seeing gems like "A Hard Day's Night" and "Help!", I decided to watch Magical Mystery Tour. It's not a secret that when this film premiered it did terribly and was panned by critics and audiences alike and also was another factor in the break-up of the band (John couldn't forgive Paul for making them do this movie) and after watching it I see why.

MMT is a very incoherent, unfunny, mess thrown together and called a movie. Many scenes seemed to be improvised which is not a good thing considering that everyone wasn't on the same page when it came to improvisation especially many of the extras. The only upside to this film was the incredible music.

Magical Mystery Tour is one of the most underrated Beatles albums and I personally rank the album in the top 3 of the Beatles catalog. It doesn't hurt to watch this movie if the curiosity moves you and some scenes are beautifully shot. But if you expect the humor and wit from "Help!" and "A Hard Day's Night", prepare to be disappointed.

Ready or Not (1993–1997)
Amazing coming to age show
8 June 2003
Ready or Not was in my opinion one of the best teenage shows ever! The show followed two long time best friends Amanda Zimm and Elizabeth "Busy" Ramone through there years of middle school and high school. This show dealt with what every teenage girl goes through: puberty, boyfriends, first kisses, and heartbreak. Ready or Not also dealt with everyday problems. Some of them were rasicm, homophobia, eating disorders, peer-pressure, and many more.

I first saw this show on Disney channel and was immediately hooked. After it was taking off Disney I started to see it on Showtime. Watching the shows on Disney now, I am VERY shocked they ever aired this show, even though they didn't air a few episodes. The characters were amazing. Busy was the somewhat independent free thinker who didn't obsess over boys while Amanda was the complete opposite she was a boy crazy person who always wanted to fit in. The acting was incredible and I truly miss this show and the cute theme song!!
