Paper Towns (2015)

Great adaptation.
25 July 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Note : I did read the book. And I did enjoy it. My main reasons for not giving it a 10 is because, I hated the ending to the book, as much as I hated the ending to the movie. My MAIN issue with the movie (besides Nat Wolff, but even he did well in this) is the ending. It made Margo COMPLETELY unlikable. Like, the whole movie made us (or at least me...) route for Margo & Q to end up together, but it basically just slapped the audience in the face. It made Margo a HUGE jerk and was really disappointing to me. The REST of the movie was a really interesting adventure. I did like the movie, despite my bitterness towards the ending. The cast was GREAT (Cara Delevigne did well as the AWFUL Margo. Nat Wolff did good with the boring Q. Hallston NAILED Lacey.) the plot was great until the end... The script was better than TFiOS IMO. Overall, it was great, and would be better than Fault In Our Star, if the ending was better. But, IT IS NOT THE SAME AS FAULT IN OUR STARS so... I shouldn't even compare the 2. Acting - 9/10 Script - 9/10 Ending - 2/10 Overall - 8/10

The starting point
21 June 2015
This is what started the iconic TV series that has lasted 10 years & stuck with loyal fans for 20 years. This what you would want in a first episode. It showed every character, plot & typical jokes that would stay with the show for all the seasons such as : Phoebe's singing, Joey's acting, Ross & Rachel, Chandler's sarcasm. It didn't leave the fans feeling underwhelmed, it is one of the best premiere's of all time. MVP : Rachel Quote : Ross: You know, you probably didn't know this, but back in high school, I had a major crush on you. Rachel: I knew. Ross: You did. Oh... I always figured you just thought I was Monica's geeky older brother. Rachel: I did.

Strong episode.
21 June 2015
Although this episode is not the best. It still did it's job. It's what you would expect when it's about the worst character : Ross (in my opinion.) but, even he did well. The best characters were probably Monica & Ross's parents in this one. But Ross held the episode strong with his main plot. MVP : Judy/Jack Geller. Quotes : "Judy Geller: Well, at least she had the chance to leave a man at the altar. Monica Geller: What's that supposed to mean? Judy Geller: Nothing. It's an expression. Monica Geller: No, it's not. Jack Geller: Don't listen to your mother. You're independent and you always have been. Even when you were a kid, and you were chubby and you had no friends, you were just fine! And your'd read alone in your room, and your puzzles..."

Better than the first.
18 May 2015
I give this a 10 not because it was flawless. It was far from. But, because it surpassed my expectations AND was better than the first (IMO : I've heard differential opinions.) Usually I avoid giving 10's because usually I give 10's to films I believe everyone should see. Which is not this. If some horror fanatic asked for recommendations, I would not recommend this. But, this is different. This one is a film I honestly believe is the exception (I won't say only, because I've given 10's to films before) because : I was laughing through almost all of it. In my opinion this was bigger and better than the first. The beginning was HILARIOUS. Elizabeth Banks and John Michael Higgins were even funnier in this one than the first! The script was more in touch with the characters rather than the first when it was super rushed. (Besides Stacie, Jessica, Ashley and Jesse who were in it notably less.) They introduced a new BELLA who is HYSTERICAL (Flo) And they had great music. (Including Jessie J's 'Flashlight.) Overall, if you're a fan of Pitch Perfect... Please see this. SCRIPT - 10/10 ACTING : 9.5/10 (what do you expect?) JOKES - 10/10 SONGS - 10/10 OVERALL - 10/10

What do you expect?
18 May 2015
This movie was fine! Not an Oscar winner. But it was funny! In my opinion better than a bunch of cop movies (the heat, can't think of other examples). Sofía Vergara and Reese Witherspoon were EXTREMELY hilarious together. Not the best movie ever. But, DEFINITELY NOT A 4.7/10 it was not that bad AT ALL. It's not for everyone, but I can not express enough HOW NOT BAD IT WAS. I can't comprehend why people would hate it so much. If you saw the trailer, you get it. Don't expect anything more. I believe that's why people disliked it. It was not bad. Not amazing. But, maybe rent it when it comes out. SCRIPT - 8/10 ACTING - 8/10 (what do you expect?) PLOT - 8.5/10 JOKES - 9/10 OVERALL - 8/10

No spoiler review - One of the best of 2015
1 May 2015
Note : of course I didn't see every movie of 2015, but from what I've seen... This is in my top 3 if not the best I've seen. Of course : you have to like a certain genre to like this. But this is kinda everything, If you like anything you probably would like this movie. But, an issue of course is... It is more one thing than another. It is mainly a romance. But, I feel it has something for everyone. It is SORT OF a thriller. (The whole concept is very creepy. Very intense.) drama (well, it IS a romance, and in every romance there is bound to be drama), a sci-fi (see : the plot. Plus, a lot of space info. As one of the mains is an astronomer), and basically everything. It is appropriate for all ages (maybe not 11 and under. It is kinda intense for some 12 year old kids, but it's okay for teenagers I'd say.) But, I can stress enough that THIS IS MORE OF A ROMANCE, if you don't like romance AT ALL, don't see it. Like, if you can't tolerate then. I WILL say it is for everyone, but I also have to say IT IS A ROMANTIC movie. It is basically like a Nicholas Sparks movie, with a HUGEEE twist. It isn't a TYPICAL Nicholas Sparks movie, I'll say. It has great acting, a great plot, a great script, I only gave it a 9 because it is a TAD BIT predictable around the ending. I won't spoil, but if you like to be surprised, the ending will disappoint. But still... This movie will be good for you unless you like surprises and hate romance. OVERALL. ; Acting - 9/10 *cant complain. Really great. Plot - 10/10 Script - 9/10 *again, very romantic. 2 great love stories (3 if you count one they didn't focus on AT ALL) Ending - 9/10 *besides the predictability it was great.* Overall - 9/10

Grey's Anatomy: How to Save a Life (2015)
Season 11, Episode 21

People are not going to like it, MAJOR POILERS
24 April 2015
Warning: Spoilers
But, I think it was kinda perfect. THERE ARE MAJOR SPOILERS BELOW, BUT IF YOU SAW THE ADS, YOU KNOW. *INSERT NAME HERE* died like a true hero. Also, the fact Shonda had the guts to even do that is why she's Shonda and is realistic, let's be real... If she didn't kill him, we'd complain that if it was a smaller character she would, and it's unrealistic. I'm glad she killed him, rather than what she did with Izzie and just made him leave. I feel as if after this Grey's farewell season will be season 12 (which I believe is just perfect for a loyal fan.) People are going to complain about it, but why? Besides a few *questionable* effects (such as right before he crashed, the driving scene was pretty bad effected. And was a TAD over dramatic but that's the actors fault. The car explosion also was bad.) This may be a sign Grey's is going too overdramatic, but assuming it ends next season... I believe this is great. ACTING - 9/10 SCRIPT - 9/10 PLOT - 10/10 OVERALL - 9.5/10 (EST. 9/10)

As someone who haven't seen the first
19 April 2015
I actually REALLY liked it. I wasn't expecting ANYTHING! But, I got a lot of things : a tragedy, a comedy, a great love story. It was amazing. Everything was great, the acting, the plots, the script. I mean, I wouldn't watch it again to be quite honest, but I'm glad I got to watch it once. I don't regret a thing. Even though I thought it'd just be another love story, like maybe 'Think Like A Man' (which is another great movie) but it'd be MUCH different, PLUS I didn't get confused about any of the characters which I thought I would assuming I haven't seen the first, but i didn't. Id suggest to watch it if it is on HBO or something, or just rent it. It was good, but not worth buying. But, it was a great movie. ACTING - 9.5/10 PLOT - 8/10 SCRIPT - 9/10 OVERALL - 9/10

Wild (I) (2014)

Brilliant adaptation based on a brilliant person.
13 April 2015
First ) I read the novel and it was phenomenal and I believe the movie was brilliantly done by someone who was WAY out of her comfort zone (Reese Witherspoon who is most known for movies like : Legally Blonde) and if she hasn't proved that she could be a serious actress in 'Walk The Line' she DEFINITELY proved it here. She took on a huge challenge and she surpassed all expectations. She did the job beautifully. Even though the lead actress did AMAZING, even the not so important cast (Laura Dern, who portrayed the Mom with cancer) was great. The acting was on point, and I believe that this movie is dreadfully underrated. It isn't ALL ABOUT THE HIKE, it's about the story. But, just saying : don't watch this with your family, the backstory has A LOT of inappropriate scenes (maybe not A LOT, but more than there had to be.) but, other than that, it was a great movie. ACTING - 9.5/10 - it was mainly just Reese that shined, but honestly, all of it was great. PLOT - 10/10 SCRIPT - 9/10 (more inappropriate-ness than there had to be, but the rest was great) OVERALL - 9.5/10

Better than expected
10 April 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I will try to do this with minimal spoilers, so i won't name any big spoilers : I will give hints to spoilers but I won't name names. Note : I thought this was going to be AWFUL but I decided to see it with my mom, who basically dragged me to it to be honest, because of one of my favorite actresses (Britt Robertson) was in it. And honestly, I don't regret it. Another note : it is what you would expect from Nicholas Sparks : a romance which ends with a death (in this case 2 deaths) but, it was a good one. So, I only ever liked 2 N.S movies : Safe Haven and A Walk To Remember. I think The Notebook is TERRIBLY overrated, and the rest are rather boring IMO. Now, don't judge this on the trailers, which make it look AWFUL, it had great plot lines, and surprisingly good acting (the trailer made it loom like the acting was going to be cheesy, which in some parts it was, but overall it was good.) It was REALLY GOOD, if you're an N.S fan you'll love it, it was good. OH ALSO, MELISSA BENOIST IS IN IT. SHE DID GOOD! ACTING - 8/10 PLOT - 10/10 SCRIPT - 9/10 OVERALL - 8.5/10

Grey's Anatomy: All I Could Do Was Cry (2015)
Season 11, Episode 11
10/10
Top 5 best episodes to date. - SPOILERS.
15 March 2015
Warning: Spoilers
When spoilers are coming I will say. Great episode. Dealing with April Kepner (the best character imo) who is trying to stay positive even though her baby's life looks bad. With Jackson staying positive with her yet more realistic. It develops both of them in a great way, along with multiple other doctors. They stay supportive and all are very nice. They light candles for them which starts with a few until every candle is lit at the ends. Even the people who don't believe are praying for them, (such as Jackson) and stayed supportive. SPOILERS - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - and in the end the praying failed with one of the most emotional quotes ever "He squeezed my finger... And then he let go..." Which EVEN if you HATE April (which I don't. I love her) or Jackson (who I do hate) you feel bad for them. No one deserves that. And especially not April. ACTING - 10/10 Plot - 10/10 Ending - 9.5/10 (it was too sad) Writing - 10/10

Finally, a good Nicholas Sparks film
15 March 2015
First off : I usually HATE Nicholas Sparks. But, I LOVE JULIANNE HOUGH AND COBIE SMULDERS so I was like "okay." And I left the theaters satisfied. Decent to good acting from : Josh and Cobie Okay acting from Julianne Hough. Definitely worth seeing if you like a romantic film (unlike me) or just a thriller. It isn't a typical romance, and IMO better than all other Nicholas Sparks movie. The Notebook isn't comparable to this (I hated that movie so I'm biased), the only one comparable is A Walk To Remember, but with this twist ending I bet it is better. Well done, well casted, a good film.
31 January 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Underrated in my opinion. When it started, the first 2 minutes, I thought it'd be AWFUL. Unfunny, a bit boring, I thought it'd be a boring, love triangle, with some shoot outs. But then Chelsea Handler and Reese Witherspoon had their first scene together and I realized it was gonna be good. Reese Witherspoon is in my top 3 favorite actresses EVER. Wild was amazing. Walk the Line was a phenomenal film. She is a great actress. The men are good as well. The plot as I said before is lacking. I thought it'd just be a dumb action film with a love triangle. But, everything else is almost perfect. I did not like the end very much. I believe FDR was a huge mistake. Also, a few attempts of comedy failed. But, overall a satisfactory film. Hilarious. Great cast.
31 January 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Melissa McCarthy was perfectly casted. She is hilarious. Even Sandra Bullock was even funny, which is hard with the uptight role she was casted. The script was funny and it's just a funny movie. It's a 10 for the comedy it is, But in general it's a 9. It is much better than the other black men version of it (Ride Along. Don't get this confused with a racial slur, it just wasn't as funny.) This movie nearly killed me of laughter. The plot sounds like a bad*** action movie, which in a way it was, but it is a hilarious comedy, gal pal, unlikely friendship movie. Which is interesting because unlikely friendships are usually so overdone but this was different. It is of course not for everyone but it is highly recommended by me. Good, if you have an open mind.
25 January 2015
Warning: Spoilers
When I rented this, I thought I was going into a TERRIBLE movie. I lowered my expectations to like a 0/10. Mostly because I saw the first one, which was a laughably bad movie. But this one, was much better. Acting wise, plot wise, script wise. There was more action, and emotional scenes. It was a roller coaster. It got you to like the characters, it made you invested. The first Purge didn't do much, it stayed in the house the ENTIRE TIME. It got boring, this one had more opportunities and they took them. Of course it had flaws. A lot of them. But, what do you expect? Such as : basically the same character from the first one dying. Let me support this : the dad/husband died in the first one, guess who dies now? The boyfriend. No surprise there. Also, the ending was okay, what do you expect? The purge ended. No big shock their, it ended abruptly. But, I can't complain. It's what you expected. An above average movie. Below fantastic but good. Better than expected. SHORTENED REVIEW : Acting wise - 8/10 Plot wise - 8/10 Script wise - 6/10 OVERALL - 7/10

Great potential, maybe too over the top?
25 January 2015
Warning: Spoilers
This movie was greatly acted by Scar Jo. But, the ending was WAY too much. It got confusing, I still have no idea wtf happened at the end. The first hour and few minutes was fine : Analeigh Tipton was in it and she is AMAZING. But, little by little it got insane. It got confusing. It basically murdered a good plot. It left it open ended so it could have a real ending and actually explain WTF happened. I hope Analeigh Tipton would return for it. My final review is that : it could've been much better, but could have been worse too. I would recommend it for a rental, don't buy it though. It's not that worth it. REVIEWS : Acting wise - 9/10 : MVP - Scarlett Johannson Plot wise - 10/10 Script wise - 5/10 : the ending was WAY to overdone Effects wise - 10/10 Final review - 7.3/10 (guesstimate)

From someone who hasn't read the book.
25 January 2015
NOTE : I LOVE READING! But when I got this book on demand for free I didn't know it was a book. Which means I can't give this a 10 until I read it. MY REVIEW : If this movie doesn't show = Meryl Streep can do no wrong, I don't know what will. She hasn't done one bad movie. I saw A LOT (not all, of course) of her movies. Mamma Mia!, Into the Woods, August Osage County, and probably A LOT more. This gave her, yet another nomination. (Which I read 14th, which to her is nothing with 19 now). But, that's only half of it. The cast is amazing. Stanley Tucci, Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt. All amazing. It's probably the most surprisingly good movie to me yet. When I walked into it I was like : oh this will be an okay movie about fashion, when I turned it off I was liked "wow... How has this movie not been seen by me yet?" Before this Anne Hathaway wasn't even in my top 100, now I need to rethink everything. Emily Blunt played a good mean girl (like Satan's pet) and I never knew she had that in her. In conclusion : SEE THIS MOVIE. Shortened Review : Acting - 10/10 Plot - 8.5/10 script - 10/10 Overall - 9.5/10

The Heat did it better.
25 January 2015
First off, this movie was fine. Nothing amazing, nothing awful It was a fine movie. Except, it reminded me A LOT of the heat. Which was a GREAT comedy. This movie was much less funny IMO, of course it had Kevin Hart who I think is HILARIOUS. Also, the woman (who's name I do not know) I think was great as well, Ice cube had his moments but really I found unlikable which I believe was what his goal was, to be the fierce BAMF. this movie was okay, if you're looking for a good midnight movie to watch and you already have seen the heat, watch this. But go in with an open mind. I thought it did it's purpose. OFFICIAL REVIEW : Acting wise - 8/10 (for the movie it did 10/10 it did it's purpose it wasn't made to be an Oscar winner. Plot wise - 9.5/10 (very good plot, not a 10 because heat had a similar plot.) Script wise - 5/10 (it has many funny parts but still came out nothing incredible) Final - 7/10 I didn't do the math but I rounded it to a 7/10. See the Heat THEN this.

Phenomenal.
7 January 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Warning : may contain spoilers. I'm gonna start of by saying, if you don't like musicals or Broadway music. Go away. It's not for you. It's an operetta. I'm gonna continue by saying if you don't like the movie because it's all sung... Do your research. It's an OPERETTA. gosh uneducated people... If it was an honest mistake I forgive you but don't complain about it after. Have some respect. Now, onto the review. It was flawless. Great acting by EVERYONE. Even Johnny Depp with a 5 minute part was AMAZING. Anna Kendrick, Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt were phenomenal. James Corden and the little kids were great as well. Also it was a HUGE twist ending, which I LOVED. it didn't end happily, it was emotional and great. MAY BE A TAD INTENSE FOR YOUNG KIDS but really good. I highly recommend it.

Terrific acting, plot and music
7 January 2015
First • I don't typically like rap and hip hop but I LOVED THIS. I am only not giving this a 10 because it's the first episode but OH HOT DANG it's great. There is not one bad actor or tress. Let's start out with saying GABOUREY SIDIBE HAS NOT DONE ONE BAD ROLE. She is a phenomenon. I will keep this short and spoiler free and say that it has something for EVERYONE. I can understand why people wouldn't like it but keep and open mind. It has good music (which you don't have to be a hip hop fan to like because, I liked it A LOT) Good acting which is always good. Great plot And basically great everything. I can't recommend this enough.

i actually liked it
16 October 2012
Warning: Spoilers
It was not a 10/10 movie tho... The ending when smiley existed was stupid. It would of been better if it wasn't a prank. Toby should of been in it more he is my fave you-tuber... Ashley cant act... Shane was a total let down since he is a great you-tuber. Proxxy was one of my favorite characters so I was mad they picker her to be the dead one. I really wish they did the plot and ending better since I have been waiting for this like a year. I think the writers and directors tried to hard for jump scares. It worked tho. I had to find it online since I didn't have a AMC theater. I was scared but I have been scared easier then when I saw other movies so it probably wasn't scary... 8/10

It may be my favorite show! It starts off with Indie in the confessional talking about the company. Then they introduce Idol. Indie - CEO. He hates everything popular. He is a great character because of Scene's crush. Idol - The Social media person. She loves everyone on Idol. Besides Chris Daughtry who she hates. But she is like the funniest I think! She loves JB and 1D. Hip Hop - I don't remember. He is really boring in this episode. He only has 1 line this episode. Techno/Dubstep - Talent Booking - Best Friends. Dubstep can't really speak he only has a fake language! Scene - Forgot Her Job. She is the best (along with Idol) she is funny, cute and different. 10/10
