Jigarthanda (2014)
By far the best "Jigarthanda" I have ever had! Yum :-)
This movie is a pride of Tamizh and Indian cinema.
What genre does it fall into? comedy? thriller? gangsterism? I say, jigarthanda in itself is a genre on its own. A very unique story telling.
When was the last time you felt more than satisfied and relished watching a movie? This movie guarantees you that feeling!
When was the last time you kept speaking of a movie for a long time? This movie will definitely make you do that!
#Jigarthanda is a cult. Standing ovation to everyone involved.
A simple yet soulful film. Every frame reflects the director's passion for art.
Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon (2011)
Excellent Entertainer! :-)
A daily soap which is totally different from any other serials so far. 22 minutes of absolute entertainment. The best thing is there is no unnecessary rona dhona.
Its special because of its team. Be it the director, editor, screenplay, cinematography and of course the cast!! (heart and soul of the show) everyone is simply superb.
This show has redefined the perception of a daily serial. It is intense and fast paced. Timely comedies and dialogs add additional flavor! So if you want some fun everyday then just switch on your television sets at 8 PM (IST). This will keep you glued and engaged!
More importantly you will never be disappointed with this :) Thanks!
What's Eating Gilbert Grape (1993)
Heart warming movie :)... definitely a must see before you die!
Extraordinary family drama. First time I watched this movie way back in school around 12 yrs back. I simply loved it. I was amazed to see an English movie with so much importance to family bonding. The movie emphasizes on family love and care. Excellent performances by Johny and Dicaprio.
This movie will leave a lasting impression on you. Every frame is heart warming. Touches your lives in more than one way. This is one of those movies whose DVD one must have as a personal collection. A very lovable movie.
Thanks!
12 Angry Men (1957)
Whoa! This is called direction!
I have always been seeing this movie in IMDb's top 250. To be honest, every time I see the year of release I just skip it. Finally yesterday I got the mood to watch this movie and so I did. Right now, I feel so much glad that I saw it. Better late than never at all.
A timeless classic. What!! a direction. Sheer talent! Ironically, words are eluding from me to praise this movie where words/dialogs/talking play a pivotal role. Just a single room, 12 men and 96 mins. Henry Fonda, Reginald Rose and Sidney Lumet prove that its more than just enough to capture your full attention. Stupendous!
This movie shows that one's conviction and attitude can get him through whatever he wants! Casual acting by all the actors. It's simply cool.
As they say don't judge a book by its cover, I say don't underestimate this movie just because its released some 50 years ago. Watch it to believe it! This will surely make it to your top favorites no matter how many more years will pass by and how many more movies will get released. This movie has already left its mark in Hollywood and will leave a lasting impression in you too!
Thanks!
Enemy at the Gates (2001)
Stands tall among most war time movies!
This movie definitely tops my list of war-time movies. My absolute favorite. Great package of everything - story, screenplay, direction, acting, casting, background music, cinematography. Watched it in star movies some five years ago without any clue of what its in store. I must say I was just glued to the TV set. When it got over.. I was like "wow! what a movie!"
Vasilli zaitsev is not only courageous, fearless and possesses razor- sharp focus but also a very intelligent sniper. Each encounter of his with the enemy sniper simply deserves an applause for the way he uses his presence of mind and outsmarts the enemy. I feel thats the main reason why this movie is so engaging and different. Unlike other war movies this one revolves around only one soldier most of the times. His valour and brilliance is all what the movie is about. Jude law pulls it off in style.
The supporting casts add power to the movie. Outstanding war scenarios give the needed momentum. All in all its a must see piece. Go watch it now to enjoy this great work!
