first of all, the fact that they actually translated the show into a film is a feat in its self. the show, i used to think, could only be viewed on stage, but not anymore. The movie makes it easier for the viewer to make personal connections with the characters.

The music, for the most part was great, (minus today for you, all the songs sounded amazing, i just liked the techno-ish version of the song from the Broadway show better). Rosario Dawson sings better than i expected, and man can Idina Mendel and Traci Thomas belt it out! Some of the cuts they made we uncalled for (hello they cut the whole Christmas song scene! i love that scene!) and they changed how April dies (the suicide was important part of the show that got cut out).

But the movie works so well. They didn't make it too flashy, (minus tango Maureen which was wonderful!! I liked how they showed it through Mark hitting his head.) I was so surprised how well the music numbers worked well in reality. It seemed kind of natural to have them break out in song.

I feel like the more I watch this movie, the more I will like it. And i like it a lot!

This movie is spectacular.

to start, the script is Andersons strongest and most imaginative work yet. I loved the dialogue, the slight swagger the words gave bill murray(who was awesome).

the directions was almost directed like a play... which works so well. The cutout for the belefonte, that follows from room to room was perfect for this movie.

the acting was extremely strong in this movie. This is an ensemble movie, but some performance that stood out were Bill Murray(he is the greatest living actor today, IMO) Owen Wilson( his death scene was so sad, yet Owen played it with such class and dignity, something i never have seen from him before) Angelica Houston( she was kind of bitchy but in a loving sorta way and was still able to come off classy), Willam Defou(effin funny... Anderson and him should do more work together), Jeff Goldblum(who is hysterical as well in this movie).

and the music was perfect... all the David bowie covers were great, and the ping island theme was so funny, when bill murray danced and it just fit the movie perfectly.

the only thing i would complain about is more of the music and the sea creatures... both were incredible, and i wanted more, especially from the observation hole... would have made this movie a bit more vibrant and fantasy like, but still its an awesome movie and I would still give it an A.

I didn't think if Anderson could top himself after the royal Tannenbaum's, but i was wrong.

Wow, was this film just effin hysterical.

I have to say that Napoleon Dynamite is an amazing. I have never watched such an awkwardly made movie be so funny, and i mean that in the most sincere way possible. If this movie didn't have the awkward feel to it, then it would have worked.

I give props to the writers and director. They created quite possible one of the most unique and weird characters ever to appear on screen. Every frame that they appeared in was just strangely amazing, and I found myself laughing out louder than anyone else, and believe me, everyone in the theater was laughing their asses off. I loved the guy who played Napoleon the best though. This performance was incredible. The way he moved, breathed, everything, was great. and the end, well, it was genius. It was such an articulate characterization. I wish Oscars were given out to performances like this. Noone else could have pulled it off so well. Props also go out to kip, who by the end is a totally different person... anymore than that and ill give it away, and i don't wanna ruin the surprise. And to deb- that girl was so cute and innocent and although had very little to work with, she made it all her own and brought out what could have been a small role, into probably the second most important, next to napoleon

I also loved how all the jokes related back thru out the whole movie. it was so great to see how it all works out, especially the stuff with rex hahaha that was so funny, and the "glamor shots" photo hahaha brilliant stuff.

What i think made the awkward comedy work was because it was well balanced between physical comedy and speech. The film manages, for the most part, to not overkill it. Yet once in a while, the movie talks a bit much, hence dragging on the length of the movie.

overall, this is a great debut film from the directors and actors, and i would love for them all to do more work along this line.

the zombie make up is good, the acting is horrible but so funny, and its just a fun movie that doesnt make you think or anything.

its jus a great, gulity pleasure popcorn flick. I recomend this movie to anyone looking to watch a funny horror movie then this is your flick. "more... BRAINS" hahaha so good

I am a huge fan of the first. i missed vol.1 in theater (worst mistake of my life) but dl it on my computer and fell in love. I own the dvd and call it my bible. so i was expecting a lot from the second.

and i was overwhelmed by the movie. it was incredible. the first one, though amazing, leaves u in a daze from its kinetic pace. The pace of this one is slower, but it allows for more brutality (bride vs elle) more sympathy and more love for the movie.

David carradine is amazing in this movie. You know he is a ruthless fuck, but you love him anyways. uma once again delvers an incredible performance. she owns the world of onscreen heriones bc she is strong, yet feminine, brutal, but elegant. Uma tops her performance in kill bill vol. 1, which i thought was impossible.

tarantino's direction in this is better as well. Yes there are referneces to his fav styles of movies and whatnot, but it isnt as obvious as in the first one. I love that about the second one. and his script is astounding. i love his words and his superman speech.

other good thinngs: godon lui as pai mei (wut a scene), daryl hannah (never thought she was a good actress until now) and the burial scene(wow... creepy as hell).

please be smart, oscars, and vote for a truely amazing movie and give props to tarrantino and company for creating 2 movies of incredible power andsubstance. (i doubt it will happen though)

although this movie is very silly it was a lot of fun to watch i liked the gonzo origin story it was very fitting! it was good to see all the muppets back in action, although its not as good as the muppet movie.

i do really like pepe the praun. and all the cameo's of both humans and muppets alike was funny but it was funny to see ray liotta in this and anything with kaktie holmes is a good movie

its been a long time since i have connected with a movie like this... it was an icredible sciencefiction/comedy/romance/drama movie that has impressed me farther than any film in the my short life. Jim Carrey's performance is so sharp and controlled. I dont know if it is a fluke or not ( jim was great in both man on he moon and the truman show, but nothing else has impressed me, except cable guy, but thats because of stiller, but i digress) but i dont think anyone else could have done as an astounding job on this film as carrey. Kate winslet was just a firecracker on screen. She was smart, sexy, hysterical, strong, loud, obnoxious, ingenious, temperate, and for me, she just lit up the screen and made me fall in love with her. The supporting cast is strong as well. Wilkinson gives another solid perfomace. Mark ruffalo is a force to be recokened with, and gave a heartwrenching performance/ Elijah wood, though underwritten, is great and it was good seeing outside LOTR, and Kirstin Dunst was phenomenal. I wasnt the biggest fan of her in anything besides Interview with the Vampire, and this was a warm welcome for me. The direction is phenomenal. Gondry makes a cinematic wonder, and its the little thing, like when the labels on the books, and how it was all slowly disappearing and it was just so subtle for me, and the angles of the shots, and the way he seems to be in total control. He could have let the movie spin out of control in joels dreams, but he doesnt. A superb job. The script was incredible. I love the way kaufman writes. it was sooo goood. he just has the speed and flow that no one else does. other highlights- the editing, the cinemtography, and kates hair- i liked it alot.

this movie is garbage, everything about it makes me want to watch god soldiers, ginger snaps, and other horror movies about werewolves. everything about this movie is bad, just bad, someone should shoot this movie with a silver bullet and kill it.

A great story, great acting, gerat everything.... this is one of the most unique stories ever. Its a movie that appeals to everyone, and is great for all agaes. This was the first movie i remember seeing in the theater when i was kid and was enchanted by it. Seing it all these years later makes me appreciate on an adult level too. This movie is just great

this movie blew me away. I was scared out of my mind. The tension, the music, the set designs... everything about it made absolutely terrified, and the death scenes were incredibly graphic and shocking, as well as beautifully done in a very artistic manner, which makes it all the more terrifying to watch. this movie gets a 5/5

This is the only star trek I can get into the rest don't interest me the way this one did. It is now on spike TV again, and I am glad, because i get to watch it again,and it brings back childhood memories for me.

i really enjoyed this movie.

It takes the unique twist of killing of the virgins in stead of the sluts.

The script was ok, there were definatly strong moments, but some week moments... some of the scene transitions were weak.

I thought Jay moore was great. It so strange to see him do this psycho performance after seeing him in movies like go and tv shows like action.

Brittany murphy was good to, and the drunken mother, played by candy clark, just constantly made me laugh.

The death scenes were pretty good, i just wish we saw it more as it was happening.
