Little Women (2019)
Impossible to Follow
I'll give it 2 stars, one for the acting and one for the costumes and set design. The story has absolutely no plot. It's just a bunch of random scenes mish mashed together. I watched a little over half and got too frustrated as I couldn't tell which was present and which was past as they seem to switch back almost every scene. In all it was a huge disappointment.
The Shining (1980)
So Overrated
Wow was this boring, I turned it off after 90mins. Kept waiting for something to pick the pace up. Makes absolutely no sense. Not scary in the least. Very little l like from Stephen King so I guess I shouldn't be too surprised.
Chernobyl (2019)
Overrated is an Understatement
What a snoozefest, the first time I attempted to watch this I fell asleep due to boredom. I decided to give it another try due to the awards and high praise. Second attempt I was on my phone diddling within 10 minutes. Avoid at all costs, unless you can't sleep.
The Many Saints of Newark (2021)
Big Disappointment
I think the series was the best of all time but this was so boring, uninteresting and pointless. It carries no suspense what so ever, and doesn't seem to be on the same wave length of the series. The only reason I finished it was to see what happened, and man I wish I just shut it offs after the first half hour.
The Tender Bar (2021)
Ultimate Snoozefest
I attempt to watch a lot of movies, a lot I turn off cause they're terrible, but I can't remember the last movie I watched that was as boring as this.
One star is for the great soundtrack, the other for great acting by Lily Rabe and Max Martini.
Castle Rock (2018)
Lost me after 5 episodes
It started off really well with great actors and eventually got too boring, slow and confusing. I hate shows with lots of flashbacks and Castle rocks all seemed pointless. With so many other shows out these days I'm not wasting my time. By the sounds of the other reviewers it doesn't get any better.
Manchester by the Sea (2016)
Snails Pace
What a borefest, made it just past the first hour and that's all I could take. So depressing, slow and boring I have no idea how this was Oscar worthy.
Beasts of No Nation (2015)
Boring, Horrible dialogue, Tedious
I have no idea how this has such a high rating. I forced myself to watch until the 45min mark and then couldn't take it anymore. Just a complete depressing mess.
Prodigal Son (2019)
Gets very boring
I made it through 7 episodes and couldn't take the repetition of his dreams and quirks anymore. They spend way too much time on Malcolms back story, like they literally spent 7 episodes trying to piece together the woman in the trunk and I don't care. I was shocked to see how highly rated this was but after reading the reviews I can see when this was canceled many fans flocked here to give it a 10 in hopes of saving it.
Spotlight (2015)
Snooze Fest
What a waste of incredible talent. Have no idea why it gets such high reviews. No suspense, we know everything that's going to happen. I struggled to make in to the hour mark and turned it off.
Dirty John (2018)
S1 - 7/10, S2 - 1/10
It's so hard to rate these anthology series as one season can be great and the next unwatchable. This is the case with Dirty John. The first had amazing actors and was very well written. The second was painful to get through two episodes. The story jumps back and forth constantly between flashbacks frustrating you to the brink of insanity. What bothers me the most is during the flashbacks the actress playing Betty the main character looks nothing like Amanda Peet.
Animal Kingdom (2016)
Big Disappointment
There isn't one TNT series where I've made it through the first season. I thought this was going to be the one due to good reviews and word of mouth but I watched 5 episodes and I can't take anymore. It is so boring and nothing makes sense. All main characters are completely unlikeable and/or unrelatable. The plot is not interesting and the mistakes are already adding up. For example, shortly after Craig gets shot in the chest he is seen in the kitchen with no wound but in a scene a few mins later he is seen from behind with an exit wound on his back. Whole series is just a complete mess.
Goliath (2016)
A first for me
I have never seen a series transform from great to unwatchable in 24 episodes.
Justified (2010)
A complete snooze
I saw the great reviews so I was pretty excited to watch this, boy was I wrong. Completely unrealistic from the get go, it just gets further far fetched. Plot is messy and never seems to lead anywhere. It is extremely slow and I would find my mind drifting. Dialogue is mostly just filler. There are lots of shows out there so no use wasting time on this failure.
The Beguiled (2017)
The lighting itself makes it deserve a 1/10
Terrible lighting, can't tell what was happening. The most boring waste of talented actors ever assembled.
Deadwood (2004)
A Complete Mess
I love american history and that's the only reason I suffered through 36 episodes. A few episodes in after Wild Bill dies so does this series. One of the major problems is the sometimes impossible to understand dialect. For some reason they talk in what is closer to Shakespearean English than to what they actually spoke in the 1870's. It's almost as if the writers thought they were writing a Broadway play, as characters mumble on about nonsense not pertinent to the story.
Looking past this, the story and(or) side stories go absolutely nowhere. I never got to a point where i connected with any character whereas I can think think of several shows where i'm attached to a character within 10 minutes. Deadwood failed to accomplish this over 36 episodes. Most characters are actually quite unlikable.
In the final season, members of a theatre company take up a lot of screen time. The characters are unlikable, uninteresting and boring. And we at the end we find out we've laboured through to find that there was no point to have them as past of the plot.
Speaking of plot, there is no climax in any season, including the last. Before I started watching this I wondered why there was only 3 seasons. I am now befuddled how they ended up with more than one.
Mindhunter (2017)
Slow and with boring characters
I made it until episode 5 of the first season and gave up. These characters are uninteresting and I don't care about them. Bill has a lot of potential but misses the mark. This reminds me of Mad Men when I had to force myself through the first few episodes and it paid off big time. There just isn't enough going on here to justify watching past episode 5 and by the way I love this genre. I can't figure out why people rate this series so high. I'm moving on to something else.
Soupçons (2004)
A complete boring mess
A pretty good story on paper, just wish it was told faster and didn't focus on boring re hashed things. The video is so bad from the time it all happened it was nauseating. Terrible waste of my time.
